Cordova Athletic Club

This looked like a nice enough place when I checked it out — the facility itself deserves four stars. The facilities are clean, and include a track, mens’ sauna, four tennis courts, spinning rooms and more. They have aquatic programs and kids’ programs.
They offer individual, couples, family, senior, student, and corporate memberships.
One thing that rubbed me the wrong way and knocks this rating down is the following — please note the comment about ‘same sex couples’. I thought that it was really odd and rather discriminative.
Couple Membership
A Couple Membership is offered for a husband and wife living in the same household. Children, age 12 and older are not included in this membership, but may use the Club as a guest of the member in accordance with the Club’s rules and regulations, and by paying the prevailing guest fee for Club use. Same-​sex couples do not qualify for this membership. Add-​ons for this type of membership are not permitted (a family membership would take it’s place).
