Chang’s Bubble Tea Cafe

2 stars for its waiter’s service! I order a milk tea and noodle with pork and black beans. First, the milk tea isn’t sealed. When I shake it, OMG! Second, the noodles is so hard to say delicious. I shouldn’t pick up this restaurant.

I seem to always order the worse kind of bubble tea. This time I got vanilla chai with yogurt balls. Pretty good. But I have to remember to stick to the basics next time. My advice to you is stick to a simple flavor and add flavor bubble balls.

Everything about this place is amazing! Highly recommend the orange chicken w/​fried rice. Every combo of bubble tea that I have tried has been wonderful! Not too pricy and the food is just outstanding

Went just for the bubble tea, & it was very good, but I’m not really a fan of the tapioca pearls. Besides that the man at the counter was really helpful & nice, but in my personal opinion Blooming Bubble Tea in the Wolfchase Galleria has a better bubble tea.

Bubble tea is sweeter than I would like, but this place has a lot of variety in flavors. If this is the only boba place it will do, but I have had better.

This is the only Chinese food I will eat. I go there once every two weeks. I usually get the Kung Pow Chicken.

Love this place! Would be better if the bubble teas have a bit more taste to it. Otherwise it’s really good.

Most bland milk tea ever. Not sweet at all. Boba tasted super old and the customer service was just okay. I only came here because the ice-​cream place I wanted to go to closed permanently. I rather just grab a soda or have gone to the custard place next door.

Great salt and pepper wings! Other food is good. Service is great. Small shop, great prices!

I don’t know about the food. Don’t care. Don’t care about anything except the Avocado Milkshake. Get that. Five stars

Amazing selection along with to die for food make a holy grail of a restaurant. My personal favorite is lychee bubble tea with mango boba along with the lychee chicken or the black pepper chicken is also yummy. This place is pretty cheap and a favorite when I’m anywhere near that part of town.

This place started out just selling bubble tea which was a new avenue for Memphis but after a few years, it has extended to selling food and their bubble tea has improved in the making. Memphis is growing in terms of food, but bubble tea hasn’t hit it big yet. Come here to enjoy some good bubble tea where you can’t find anywhere else in the city that’s good. Restaurant is small but enough for a few people to gather and eat and just eat and leave and catch a movie across the steeet.

I have loved going to Chang’s for bubble tea for years. They have a great selection and a lot of variety. Let me make clear that this is what you come to Chang’s for. The food, while above average for most Chinese restaurants in Memphis, isn’t what makes this place great. They do have some different type of dishes, like lychee chicken or pineapple shrimp, that not everyone else has. But the food hasn’t been consistently good every time. The bubble tea, however, has. Highly recommend getting bubble tea here. However, it is not the only bubble tea place in town as some might think, and you can get just as good or better bubble tea at other places in town. But I definitely recommend it, good alternative to getting ice cream or coffee on the weekends. If you’re seeing a movie at the Cordova Malco, you should run across the street and get a bubble tea.

Chang’s is a small, neatly-​decorated café that specializes in Bubble tea, but also serves a surprisingly wide variety of Asian cuisine.
You have the option to dine-​in, or visit the back counter for a to-​go food or bubble tea order. The selection of flavors is extensive; you’ll see everything from strawberry to taro. They also have a couple other unique options you won’t find at any Vietnamese restaurant nearby, like types of pearls and consistency of your drink (frozen, liquid, hot). Also noteworthy is their selection of specialty drinks. I saw things like peanut butter and mint chocolate.
I recently ordered the green apple and coconut flavors of bubble tea. The green apple tasted sour and artificial (as was expected) and was delicious. The coconut was absolutely out of this world! I’m officially going to have to change my favorite coconut bubble tea from Phở Saigon to Chang’s! It’s like a creamy mixture of coconut and some other sweet and familiar flavor.
A sign behind the counter also says you have the option to mix 2 flavors. I’ll give it a try next time.
Upon my exit, I grabbed a to-​go menu. Wow! The list really is gigantic for such a small café. One may expect just small plates — nope ! Soups, vegetarian (woo hoo!) selections, chicken been and pork, and noodle dishes represent the menu.
Over all, Chang’s was a great and short-​but-​sweet experience. I recommend if you’re looking for something a little more fun and refreshing than your daily Starbucks run. If you have the time, sit and eat!
5 stars for great atmosphere, quickly-​made quality bubble tea, and value.
A couple things :
The place is closed all day Tuesdays (weird, but okay)
In the evenings, the place is a very popular teen hangout spot. Expect to see moms in mini vans parked outside waiting for the kids.

stopped in for a quick lunch with my mom. The $ 6.50 lunch special is a great deal. You get a modest size portion of edamame (YUM!), soup of your choice, entrée, side of steamed rice, and a spring roll. The waitress was very friendly, and we were in and out in 20 minutes. the hot and sour soup was delightfully hot! I’ll have to come back to try their expansive tea selection.

Rating this place low for poor customer service. Took 10 mins to get a bubble tea. Guy at register was not friendly and offered no apology.

I got the green tea and my son the strawberry bubble tea. Fast & friendly service plus it hit the spot for us wanting a refreshing drink after coming out of the movie theater.(Righ across the street) I think going here after a movie will become a regular thing for us :)

Well, I was in for a surprise when I first tried the food at this place. When this was just a small shop at Oak Court, I knew that their bubble teas are good, but they have actually gotten better too!
I finally had the chance to try the food here and for the two items that I did try, green beans and Singapore noodles, they were great! I’ll probably be eating here more often now.

I was VERY surprised to find out that Memphis had bubble tea. Then I was even more surprised when I found out that this place sold semi-​authentic chinese food! I can’t comment on the food, yet, but I can on the bubble tea.
I always go with the regular milk tea (liquid) with tapiocas. It’s not bad. I’ve lived in California and NYC and Boston, so its not the most impressive or fresh boba pearls that I’ve tried, but for the sake of Memphis, this place is probably the best in the area. They’re pretty quick if you’re the first one ordering. But if you come and there’s been a few teenagers that ordered before you, then you’ll have to wait a lil bit. The milk tea is good and sweet. It varies; sometimes its very sweet and sometimes its just right. They always put in enough pearls even if it doesn’t look like it!
I have yet to try their real food, but I definitely will do so soon. But for the area, This is the place to get your bubble tea fix and therefore am giving it a higher rating because of that. 3.5 /​5
