Bought a vehicle from Max4Min on ebay. Was nervous about buying a car sight unseen so had several conversations with Ben the owner(I believe this is a 1 man shop). The good: The car is in overall good condition and you would not know it has 63k miles. The bad: Shipping was slow(took about two weeks to get the car from PA to MA). During that time, i had to constantly call to get a status update. The ebay listing(and their web site) said the car had an in-dash 6 disc changer. When the car arrived, it had a single in dash cd player. Adding 1 costs about $ 600. Also, when the car arrived and I took it for inspection, the rear tires were literally worn through and would not pass(even though I was told they were in great shape. Lastly, there are two rips in the leather seating: a smal rip in the drivers seat and a large v-shaped rip in the rear armrest. All in all, spent a couple thousand to get the car in good operating order(also needed oil change, spark plugs, filters, etc). I could have bought a car under extended warranty for the same total price. I called the owner several times after the sale because I felt ripped off on the cd and tires. never got a return phone call… UPDATE: Got a nice scathing email from the owner with various threats… their site is down, but I am sure he will create a new one under a new name. Overall, the car has been good despite what I noted above. Others have not been so lucky, however. Do yourself a favor and do a google search on «maximum 4 minimum complaints»
