Great food at very reasonable prices. Four courses for $ 20 a steal.

Very cozy, some outdoor seating(just by the street, but a few plants and strings of fairy lights warm the space up), very good food, good service. The bread, holy cow, the best. Lightly crunchy crusty outside, soft and delicious yeasty inside. Sooooo good. And good olive oil and balsamic for dipping or salty, chilled butter to spread. We barely had room for our dinners after indulging in the yummy bread! We’ll be back!

We ate there last night. The food was yum-a-licious!!! Our waiter gave above and beyond service and we were very impressed with the menu. Our first time there but for SURE won’t be the last. It’s small and intimate for a romantic dinner. Yet, large enough for more. The lighting and ambiance take me to Italy again.

I HAD to write about this place. So, My husband and I had our first date at this place, always went for special occasions, even had our wedding rehearsal dinner there. Small, quaint, intimate, dining room where the service was always excellent. The food was always to DIE for. They received you at your table with a fresh olive salad, beautiful Italian breads, different kinds of butter, and the meal portions were big enough to take the leftovers home. Notice how I keep saying WAS. Last time we went, it was a hassle to make a reservation. We had to call 3 times(after leaving 2 voicemails) to finally get somebody that could help us. We show up on time to our reservation, and we stood at the door waiting to be seated for 10 minutes! Not because there was a wait, but because NOBODY greeted us! We just stood there watching people eat! We finally get seated(by someone that looked like he had been cleaning the kitchen floors) and again we sit and we wait. We were waiting for about 15 – 20 minutes and again, NOBODY came to even offer us water! Mind you, this place is tiny! We couldn’t believe it. We actually got up and said to each other: «Do you think they’ll even notice if we leave?» and sure enough, they didn’t! We left and have never returned. We later found out the original owner(who we had been dealing with for over 8 years) sold the place and that is why the restaurant has suffered. So sad and disappointing. I might go back and give it another chance. I want my Linguini Nere con Pesce!

Looovved it! What a cute place! Wonderful ambiance, food, service, what more can you ask for? We ate off their special«$ 20.00» menu, everything was fantastic and they treated us so kindly. We can’t wait to bring the rest of the family back, it is definitely a «must come back». This is a place to bring others that you want to impress.

Excellent! The food is always delicious and the staff is attentive and friendly. The best dish is the Fiochi di pera. It’s little pasta purses filled with cheese and pears with a Gorgonzola sauce. It is very rich, though, so if you don’t like creamy sauces, you won’t like it. However, they have many other excellent dishes to choose from. I feel like most restaurants make you pay extra for a salad that ends up being just lettuce and dressing but Peppy’s has a very good salad that comes with the meal. You also get fresh bread. It’s also a romantic setting and a good place for a date.

This place is amazing! They have a four course dinner which includes an appetizer, a soup or salad, an entrée, dessert, and a glass of wine for $ 20! Their food is always fresh and delicious! The owner is very sweet and walks around to the different tables making sure everything is perfect. She has been in this location for many years and the quality of food and service has always been phenomenal! Definitely a place we love going back to!

A quaint little italian restaurant right off of Ponce de Leon Circle Park. This is non-pretentious restaurant where the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is wonderful during ArtWalk Friday nights, great for people watching. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The calamari fritti had a great light batter. The bruschetta is pretty simple fare. I’m a fan of their Linguine Nere con Pesce. The seafood is fresh, the sauce is creamy, and oh the look of jet black pasta! The Ravioli di Aragosta was also delicious. The raviolis were plenty stuffed with lobster, and the sauce acccentuated the flavor of the lobster. One of my favorites is the Veal Shank. It is a large tender shank on top of smashed potatoes in a wine reduction. Absolutely delicious, and completely filling! A friend of mine tried a very unique dish, the Vitello Amaretto. Beautiful breaded veal over a bed of pasta with a very creative amaretto sauce and sliced peaches! All of the elements work favorably, but note that it may be on the sweet side for some. I love the atmosphere of Peppy’s. When you come here, you immediately want to slow things down. Open up a bottle of wine(or two), and spend an evening with friends or family together.

Peppy’s is my favorite restaurant in the greater Miami area. I’ve been going there since 1997. I live in NYC now, but every single time I come down to Miami I make a point to go back. It’s kind of like a neighborhood place where some of the same people know you if you come on a regular basis. My favorite pastas are the fettuccine alfredo(very authentic, homemade stuff) and the rigatoni romano with chicken. They can make any sort of special dish you want also. The last time I went(yesterday, 7⁄18) I found out that the original chef is back. The food was much better yesterday, and I highly recommend it as before. The restaurant is very charming and quaint. The same person has owned Peppy’s since it opened, and she often goes around to the tables to talk to guests and ask them about their food/etc. I can’t say enough good things about it. I only review restaurants that I’ve been to at least a few times. I’ve probably been to Peppy’s hundreds of times in the past 13 years. It gets my top rating, and(as many of you know) I’m pretty picky when it comes to good food. :)

Mediocre at best, though my girlfriend gave it 2.5 to 3 stars. Everything seemed to be from a box or premade. Fresh bread and roasted garlic were nice touches, but this place seems to be stuck in the eighties. Meat lasagna tasted like it was defrosted not home made. On the plus side, her shrimp scampi marinara was good.

This is a small and romantic restaurant located in the city of Coral Gables. The place has been around for almost 20 years now. Great food, friendly staff and if you are trying to impress a date this place will work.

We received a gift card for Peppy’s in The Gables for Christmas from my cousins. They had been telling me about this place for a while and what better way to make sure I checked it out than by giving me a free meal there? This place was great. Like Lourdes said, it’s very Charming. There’s something very cozy, and a little romantic about this place. It’s small, the staff is great, and the food delicious. They had a special for $ 20 per person. It includes a glass of wine, appetizer, soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. Please, have the lamb. It’s a crazy amount of good food for $ 20. We will definitely be back.

Charming and disarming – that’s Peppy’s. Tucked away near Palermo Circle in the Gables is this romantic hide-away restaurant. This is a perfect spot for a date. And, I swear there’s something magical about the place when you’re there with the right person. This also happens to be the site where I said(more like blurted) those three words(not pre-meditated) for the first time to my long-time love(who at the time was like my BFF). The food is always good. I recommend whatever the special of the day is which could be seafood or steak. The pasta is also excellent. You’ll be greeted by the maitre de who has a long curly mustache which instantly makes you feel like you’ve traveled outside of Miami. The restaurant is quaint, quiet, and perfectly lit to share a bottle of wine with the person across the table from you. The best way to experience this place is when you have time to indulge in all of its confections. You don’t need reservations, but it can get full on weekends. During the week, Peppy’s also has great lunch specials, but remember the magic here… only strikes at night.

It’s a great little spot in the gables, hadn’t been in a very long time and it’s still just as great! It’s purely continental. I had pasta with salmon and capers in a cream sauce. Was good, service was s-l-o-w so it gets a three with me…

This is a cute, classy little restaurant. I have been here a couple of times and the waiters were always prompt and attentive. I ordered pasta with alfred sauce and it was okay. It wasn’t the best I have had, but the portions were decent.
