I love bringing my friends to try this hidden gem. My mother and I eat here quite a bit because the staff and owner make you feel right at home and every dish on the menu is amazing! A «few» of my favorites: Lychee crab salad(a must), truffle fries, bao buns, fried rice pot. Entrée: filet mignon with truffle risotto and I always make room for dessert: bread pudding with ice cream. Yum!

The Gourmet Table is appropriately named. Started off with the appetizers, and except for the desert, never left that side of the menu! The three of us shared six delicious appetizers and one dessert. Each and everyone was excellent! Definitely coming back… Hope to make it to the main courses next time! Service was excellent, and the ambience is great. The owner, Fernando, is hands on and obviously takes great pride in his product. Looking forward to returning and plan to spread the word amongst our friends.

When we lived in Miami we never visited this place. While we were in Miami for a few days we decided to see what all the rave reviews were about. This place didn’t disappoint. The food is all cooked properly. Nothing killed in the kitchen by being too long on the stove. This is a fun little date spot. It offers unique foods at a reasonable price.

A must go to restaurant… Their food, ambiance, and service is the best! I had the Salmon this time and it was perfectly seared. The tuna roll, was unique and fresh.

It’s all there. Service. Charm. Appearance. Presentation. Daring! Attention to detail. There were so many returning diners and that alone says a lot. It’s $$$ as far as pricing goes but it’s one of the few places that actually deserve the price they charged. I had a slice of prosciutto in one of the dishes and all I thought of was that this porcine must have lived a happy life to have brought this flavor to the table.(memories of Jack Lemmon instructing on how to cook lobster) Decent and not pretentious wine list, easily tackled but marked up a bit more than it should be. The menu is also explicit so no guessing on what the fusion will bring but allow the waiter to guide you. Easy parking

I consider myself one of the luckiest persons out there because i chose Gourmet Table as the location to celebrate my baby shower. I m beyond happy with the service that I received; from the first meeting where the Chef put together a perfect menu related to the theme that I chose until the last minutes of the party where the restaurant staff was offering an impecable service to my 45 guests. They all left deeply impressed with the Chef s unique variety of foods that were served using quality ingredients, receiving outstanding service, and enjoying beautiful décor. I would recommend this location for any event for anyone.

This was GOING to be a rambling and descriptive rave, but now that I see how positive all the other reviews are, it doesn’t seem quite necessary. I’ll try and keep it simple. DO go here for date night. There is a level of cozy whimsy I haven’t encountered anywhere else in Miami. It turned the end of long weeks for me and my man into a night so romantic it felt like an anniversary. I think we can thank the live music, the twinkle lights, and the dim lighting on the rooftop terrace. DO ask for recommendations and thank your server. Ours, I believe his name was Jeremy, was charming. He knows the menu inside and out, but was never pushy. He’s attentive without hovering. Although I didn’t see anything that looked less than delectable, I’m glad I took his advice. DO order everything I ordered… and maybe everything else on the menu for good measure. My love and I shared the steamed buns, falafel, pâté pasta, and bread pudding. I am not going to go into detail with each, but suffice to say that they were each MUCH better than I would have anticipated. I mean falafel is just falafel right? It really isn’t. Try it. And a special shoutout to the pasta because it’s been weeks and I still dream of it at night. How can such a thing exist and it took me 24 years to find it?! DONT calorie count. This was a «cheat» meal for me and I’m glad I went all the way with it. There are undoubtedly healthy options on the menu, but you aren’t going to eat healthy every meal for the rest of your life are you? Don’t blow it on Taco Bell. THESE are the calories you want. Trust me. DONT be put off by prices. It is not remotely expensive for what it is. I had heard about this place but didn’t come for quite some time because of prices. Not because I couldn’t afford it, but because it brought to mind snootiness and small portions. Dear lord, this is not that. This place is so charming and wonderful, it feels like what you wish home could be. A very worthy splurge. Oh no, and I promised I wouldn’t ramble. I get carried away thinking about this heavenly little alcove. Thank you, Gourmet Table!

I took my girlfriend here on Valentine’s Night after having read such rave reviews about how it’s a «hidden gem» etc. I have to tell you, it’s just that. Our Valentines experience was 5 stars from start to finish. Excellent service(which I expected to be lackluster since it usually is when dine out on Valentine’s) food took just the right amount of time to enjoy our wine and appetizers. This place has a great outdoor dining patio upstairs. It was a cold night but they had the right amount of heating lamps. The star of the night however was the food. As it should be. I enjoyed one of the best risottos I’ve ever had. I mean, DAMNGOOD! The Mussels were very fresh. The bread pudding was amazing. Just overall very very good food. We will definitely be returning.

Love this restaurant! The food is prepared with fresh ingredients, and it is so nicely presented. They have a beautiful outdoor space upstairs that is great for events. I used to eat everyday at Hawa their old restaurant and when I found out they opened this restaurant at this location I was so thrilled! Creamy crunchy tuna sushi and the quinoa pockets are so good!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Gourmet Table’s upstairs balcony area and it was truly spectacular! Every single person thoroughly enjoyed their dinner, drinks, and dessert! It truly is a best kept secret, even in its somewhat odd location. Not only is the food and service incredible, but they also have a small market with incredible oils, salts and other goodies for purchase.

I was there last night with my 3 buddies, to change scenery from our usual Hillstone meeting spot. I had googled«best kept secret restaurant in coral gables», and Gourmet came up in many sites/blogs. So I got there first with my wine bottle(a Unilocaler had posted that corkage fee is 10 $), but apparently that’s been off the menu for 2 years; however the owner Hawa honored my request and allowed us to have my bottle(we opened 2 other bottles, the best he had) Then the food started pouring in… And between Hawa’s frequent stops and stories, the flowing wine, and the incredibly unique culinary dishes that were vanishing as quick as they landed, we were in food heaven! Every item we ordered, every item Hawa offered us(he offered us 4 appetizers and one dessert), was an artistically crafted delicacy. My buddies who are food connoisseurs were in utter disbelief: how have we not ever heard about this place before! We, the big foodies!!! We finished it off with the best bread pudding soufflé ever created… Then the 4 ogres stumbled pout of their chairs and somehow made it upstairs to the trendy lounge you can book for your special event, and collapsed on the couches for 15 minutes before we could muster enough energy to go home. I have to add also that the staff was very nice and Genna our waitress from Australia was not only very easy on the eyes but also extremely pleasant and helpful. Thank you Hawa for making us feel at home from our very first visit! Elie

I hesitate to use superlatives when talking about a restaurant because it doesn’t convey real information. So let me paint the picture: Starry night, roof top dining, interesting menu. We talked for awhile with owner/chef Moty Hawa after our very delicious dinner with perfect ambience under the stars. He made lingering for two wines very interesting and we found out that he is no stranger to Miami. This was my second time here because I had to bring my husband back as we are always looking for unique and elegant places for dinner. The menu is interesting with Lebanese inspired dishes plus some Sushi. Much of the menu is made up of small dishes, hot and cold(tapas) and they have a nice list of Platos Fuertes(main dishes). I like that because sometimes my husband likes the entrée dish and I like a small dish as my main course. This is the second time that I had the Lamb Lollipops that were nicely grilled with two sauces on the side. If you are looking for an elegant, gourmet dinner at a reasonable price(about $ 60 per person total with 2 glasses of wine each) in Coral Gables/Coconut Grove this is a really nice option.

Beautiful venue with a gourmet foods section, featuring wines as well as hand made chocolates and lebanese sweets, but you already know this from the photos. The gourmet food section offers some European imported truffle oils, canned goods, EVOOs and fruit preserves. They dub their food as International, an unexpected fusion of French/Mediterranean/Japanese/Chinese. Not too often will you find Char Siu Bao(Chinese steamed BBQ pork buns) on the same menu as Baba Ganoush and Foie Gras. This could be a good thing but when we arrived for dinner, they were out of some menu favorites, such as the eggplant dip and calamari. How is it even possible for Lebanese people to run out of eggplant dip? That’s like a Chinese restaurant running out of rice. We opted for the quinoa and the surf and turf appetizers. The quinoa salad was fluffy, light and burst with flavor from thinly slices grapes, fresh herbs and whole hazelnuts. Yummy and healthy to boot. The BF was raving about the flavor and tenderness of the short ribs and the smooth potato mash. We were told they slow braise the ribs for 2 ½ hours. They definitely looked fork tender. The jumbo scallop was beautifully seared, Gordon Ramsey would be proud. The I.V. maki roll unfortunately didn’t work for me. While the roll was big and colorful, it had too much going on. Crab salad, avocado, salmon, masago and I forgot what else. I love that they use soy paper to wrap the rolls as opposed to nori, which is much more delicate. What didn’t work for me was the kimchee yuzu sauce and the olives. Olives in a sushi roll, yes you heard me. The olives were too bitter and overpowered every other delicate flavor. The kimchee sauce added additional pungent flavor, so after a few bites all I tasted was bitter. For dessert, I ordered the bread pudding over the molten chocolate cake, tough decision. It was not one of the better bread puddings I’ve had. The bread was soaked in too much liquid and wasn’t baked long enough for the eggs to set. The result was a liquid eggy and buttery center that looked like milk and egg soup. If this was Food Network someone would have been chopped. My take overall, the owners clearly have a passion for food and the finer things in life. I think they’d be better off scratching the Asian items off the menu. There are too many places in Miami that do Asian food better. If they instead stick to French/Mediterranean/Lebanese food, they might have themselves a new regular.

Every time I come here it gets better and better. I first found out about this quaint little spot because a friend had her baby shower here. It amazed me how beautiful they had turned that terrace, from the décor to the staff– everything was perfect. But let me focus on my amazing lunch experience… First let me point out how nicely decorated this place is. Not too modern, just right. Comfortable seating and with a view to the chefs working on your meal. We ordered a variety of things including the angus sliders, quinoa lettuce cups, jasmine rice sushi and a salmon sandwich. Even though they all tasted incredibly fresh and delicious I have to say my favorite was the quinoa. It was just perfect! The service was in point which for me is a must– nothing kills your dining outing like crappy service but these guys know what they are doing. I have no doubt that the party we booked for this Friday will be a success. This little hidden gem has got a good future.

I came here with my fellow foodie sister on a Friday night having high hopes because of the reviews on Unilocal.I was shocked when we stepped inside because it was completely empty! It worried me a bit but alas, this was a superb dinner and was in the realm of five stars if not for a few things. To start the night off, I had a gilt city voucher which included a bottle of wine. My sister does not drink and I am not one to finish a whole bottle of wine so I asked our waitress if it was possible if I could do a substitution, like a glass of wine and an extra dessert instead of the bottle. She was more than happy to help and went to ask the manager. She came back and said that the manager said it was okay. They have a limited menu for gilt city vouchers which was not stated on the voucher itself. The voucher said the face value is $ 118.00, I added up everything we had and I would have had to pay $ 74.00 without the bottle of wine. Unless that bottle of wine cost $ 44.00, which I doubt, this deal was okay. Now I know this isn’t their usual business, but I felt a bit cheated. Anyway, we ordered the short rib bao buns and surf and turf for apps, tuna pizza(which is usually an app and looked to be the same size) and foie gras pasta for dinner, and the bread pudding soufflé and molten lava cake for dessert(one was the substitute for the bottle of wine). — Bao buns: The short rib in these were spectacular and full of flavor. It reminded me of my dads slow braised oxtail which is one of the best meals my dad makes. The buns were moist and fluffy, but not as good as Gigi’s buns. The one downside was the asian slaw, which had mostly a mayo flavor. I was hoping for some acidity to counterbalance the fatty short rib. — Surf and turf: Another outstanding dish. The scallop was cooked and seasoned perfectly which was situated on top of the same short rib that came in the buns. The mashed potatoes were nice and buttery. — Tuna pizza: The crust was more like a flaky cracker. This was a very unique dish that had tons of flavor. It was fresh, light, crunchy, really outstanding. — Foie gras pasta: Rich and creamy with mushroom earthiness. The pasta was firm and tender. I have never had foie gras before so I am not sure what it tastes like, but If you had asked me what type of pasta it was, I would have said creamy mushroom, I did not taste any other flavor that would have hinted at foie gras. There was also some mushroom grit. A side note– Our waitress came out and told us there was a mix up and the manager told her to charge me for the glass of wine, so I ended up switching a bottle of wine for a dessert, which in my book is not a fair deal. — Molten lava cake: Decadent and rich gooey chocolate came oozing out once we cut into the cake, my only complaint was that it was such a tiny piece of cake. — Bread pudding soufflé: Ever had bread pudding and a soufflé mixed together? I haven’t and this was a great place to start. It was a rich, eggy, and fluffy soufflé with chunks of soft doughy brioche stuffed inside. This dessert was spectacular and quite possibly one of the best I have had! Overall it was a great dining experience. Our waitress was superb, really friendly, and seemed genuinely sorry for the mix up. If it wasn’t for the wine/dessert mix up, grit in my mushroom, and the overstated price/limited menu for the gilt city voucher, I would have given this place five stars. That being said I cannot wait to come back again.
