Have been looking everywhere for a nail salon that opens early and finally found one thanks to Unilocal!Except… when I called to book an 8:30 am appointment, they don’t know who set up their Unilocal account or why it says that because they don’t open till 9. As a business owner… you should probably know what is going on on your Unilocal page and keep the information current and correct. Not a great first impression.

Lilly goes out of her way to take care of her customer. Does awesome haircuts but eyebrows not so much.

No people better than Venezuelans and Colombians know how to cut hair. This is the place if you care about details. Ask for Omar.

This is a nail and hair place family style not for the uppity set. Local and treated me and my daughter being both outsiders from los angeles with kindness. great nails careful and cleaned everything. Price was super competitive. But granted I love local color and humans behaving real not fake. getting the job done carefully. with heart thAnks my feet feel amazing.

Everyone here is super nice and helpful. Always a smile on everyone’s face. Lilly has been doing my eyebrows for months and I couldn’t be happier with her and her service.

$ 10 manicure — you get what you pay for, a hatchet job on the cuticles and a very strange approach to «painting in the lines» — just paint the whole finger and wipe off the messy bits. Would I go back? When desperate perhaps.

I have been coming to this salon for all of 9 ½ years. There’s a very good reason for it: the dream team(hairstylists, wax specialists and manicurists!) I started coming to this salon because a friend recommended Lily(who is the owner) for eyebrow waxing. I have the WORST(slash best) eyebrows to handle. My eyebrows are extremely thick! I have been to hundreds of wax specialists since the tender age of 14 and no one, I mean NOONE, has ever waxed my eyebrows the way that Lily does. She never makes them too thin(which most wax specialists try to do. My eyebrows are not meant to be thin!!) and after so many years, she treats me like family and always takes a few minutes out of her busy schedule to either squeeze me in for a quick wax or have a conversation with me about how I’m doing. Hair: I don’t ever head to the salon to do my hair because I can straighten it just fine myself. I don’t dye my hair either but when I do, this is the go-to place. I’ve done my hair with Lily once or twice(she’s great) but my guru would have to be Omar. He is divine! He puts so much love into what he does that I always leave with a smile on my face after a session with him. He really knows what he’s doing when it comes to color. And get this, he does makeup, too!!!(He did my makeup for prom. Sooo happy!) Nails: I started doing my nails here with an older lady and unfortunately she ended up leaving to another salon. I followed her everywhere she went up until she moved out of the country. So when I had to find a new manicurist, I came back to the drawing board. When I asked Lily who I should try, she recommended Eddilin(who at the time was one of two manicurists and the other one is no longer here) and with good reason. This girl is the freaking best in Miami. She’s young, fun and full of energy. Super cool person, who in time, has become more of a friend than just an «employee». For the first time, EVER, I come every week to do my nails(and pedicures every other week). This girl is a goddess! She is quick, but not rough. She takes time to pay attention and learn how her clients prefer their mani/pedis. Not to mention, she is extremely clean. There have been plenty of times where I’ve had pitch black nails and I’ve had her change them to «marshmallow»(which is pretty much white) and she makes sure to thoroughly clean my nails so that there is absolutely no trace of black and my nails can look bright white. Her attention to detail is phenomenal. She does not like leaving you with anything less than perfect nails. Although, Yami is a good alternative, Eddilin is my girl, through and through!!! Prices are also very reasonable. Not CHEAPEST in town but you always wonder how crappy the cheapest in town could be. I definitely recommend this team of super stars to all of my friends!

I went to A La Mode after buying a GroupOn for a shellac manicure and spa pedicure. My overall experience here was fine, but it took me forever to actually book an appointment. I think I called three or four times before finally getting through to someone. The salon itself is small and while the woman who did my nails(her name escapes me) was really friendly and sweet, I cannot say the same about the other employees. It seems like this is a neighborhood place, where everyone who goes knows one another. That’s fine, I didn’t come here looking to make friends… but the workers were very loud with their customers, which I felt was odd for a spa where many people typically go to relax. The manicurist did a good job, but my shellac manicure began to chip within a week. If I saw another GroupOn, I would consider buying it, but there is no way I’d pay the full price to come here($ 55).

I have been going to this place for years. They do men & women haircuts. They do manicures & pedicures, wax, etc. I usually get a haircut and straighten my hair. They always do an amazing job and they make sure you get the cut you want so there are no surprises. When I do my pedicures there they always come out great too.
