The staff here is consistently rude, never helpful, and often make you feel uncomfortable just making a purchase. Normally I don’t let it bother me(it is a government job after all), but the behavior of our cashier today was so absurd it compelled me to actually write this review. My total was $ 20.18. I initially gave her $ 21, but then realized I had 20 cents in my pocket. The moment I reached for my change she started rolling her eyes and heavily sighing. Then she starts pulling out the 82 cents change as she hears me saying I have the 20 cents to make it easier. I tried to explain she would just owe me $ 1.02 rather than making 82 cents in change. She continued to roll her eyes and sigh and basically refused what was arguably a much easier transaction. She couldn’t understand the concept of me paying more to make the change simpler. I finally just agreed to take the 82 cents. She still seemed very irritated after all of this. I’ve also attempted several times to inquire about specific brands of liquor to the«specialists»(the ones who just wander around doing nothing). And I have yet to encounter a single employee who knows anything about the products they sell. The most they’ll do is stare at the bottles and try to find what I’m asking for(which I’ve already done obviously). So bottom line, the employees here are not only extremely uninformed, but especially rude.

Will NEVER understand why wine and liquor go together and beer doesn’t, but whatever. This is a decent Wine and Spirits– the vino selection is PLCB-approved and very broad. Liquor selection is good, although far less space is devoted to it than wine. This location seems a little dingier than most, but it’s clean, close, and it serves my goal of buying alcohol, so I come here at lunch when I need to pick up booze for an evening activity.

I visit this store whenever I’m in the area. I think the wine selection is good. However, the sales staff are arrogant and unfriendly. Simply rude is almost acceptable(it’s not as if you have a great choice in where to go), but they seem to be consistently, aggressively impolite. They give the impression that it is simply a big hassle to take the customers’ money in a transaction. Perhaps they would prefer to stand guard and make the customer manage the apparently annoying activity of handing over and accepting payment. This is a state-regulated shop, and they have successfully captured all of the grace and charm of a particularly poorly staffed DMV.

This is one of my fav PA Wine & Spirits store, insomuch as one can like PA Wine & Spirits stores. I actually think they do an excellent job with their wine here, better than most locations. They will usually have an exceptionally large section of discounted wines, like large enough to span the breadth of the store. There will be a mix of wines from all regions, and price points varying from $ 6 to $ 50, with an average of about $ 12. You can find some really deep discounts here if you look around. I think I’ve gotten as much as $ 11 off before. And the wines are great. I’ve gotten several memorable bottles here before. They also have an OK selection of craft liquors, and of course, an overwhelmingly sickening monument to flavored vodkas, spanning the entire pantheon, from Fruit Loop flavored through staples like salted caramel burnt marshmallow. I will not comment on the staff, as I think any comment cancels across locations. Recommend for the wine.

This PLCB wine store is ranked against its peers. This one is pretty good, a large selection, the store is well lit, there’s even a special room for the expensive wines, but I am afraid that this review will be short-lived because I saw that next door they are building a new one, and I have heard the all new wine stores will no longer have the special room.

This place is a fairly good place to grab liquor; it’s like a grocery store for alcohol. Each row has it’s own sign stating what can be found in that row, so you can just grab it and go. It was super easy to find what I was looking for, and it really made me laugh when the sales clerk felt the need to card me.(Guess that’s a good thing because if I was there regularly I’d have a bigger problem!) Prices were also pretty good. The Sailor Jerry I purchased at $ 17.99 was $ 21.99(sale price, regular price was $ 24.99) on an online website.
