River Pointe Apartments

On the move in day, the water was yellow, garage disposal was broken, sink backed up, my car was broken into and so was my neighbors. THUGS everywhere. Management is unfriendly. Maintance takes OVER a week to fix anything. I’ve complained twice and they still have not fixed my dishwasher. DO NOT live here. I promise you i’m counting down the days till I move out.
Tired of being lied to by the management and i’m sick of not feeling safe!

I chose 1 star because that’s as low as it goes— worst place I’ve ever lived. My apartment was not even ready when I was scheduled to move in– the walls were dirty and still full of holes and nails from the previous tenant. The carpet had been shampooed but was worn and very tattered. Should have been replaced yrs before. The air was not working and my movers (in August) had to move in such heat w/​no cool relief inside. When I told the manager the condition of the place. She got defensive and said the painters were on the way. They then had to paint all around my furniture. The baseboard around the dining room had obviously been very wet at some point because the wood was actually growing large mounds of brown. The painters simply painted over it. The staff was lazy and rude.
I went to the office one day to pay rent and the doors were locked. I waited outside. The maintenance man came and let us in, (there was another person waiting as well) Because it was so hot out. As we were waiting inside, the manager came out of her office and had quite obviously been in her office napping. The theater room was down the entire yr I lived there and the gate broken most of the time. Then did not return my deposit when I left because I didn’t clean the oven and they charged me to shampoo the carpet.
The parties were out of control and the redneck that lived across from me decided it was a good idea to bring the parties on the walkway outside my door at 2:00 AM. Worst place to live. EVER. They upped my rent 130.00 after my first yr. they would have to pay me to live there! I lived there in 2011 – 2012. I was in building 15. Every time it rained I could smell mold for several days.
The upstairs apartment had a water break and water was running down the walls and pouring all over my washer and dryer. The maintenance man came when I called him about it and said not to worry cuz the leak was from upstairs. He left the mess for me to clean up. Lazy lazy

This complex used to be very nice. The manager, Eric, was super responsive, informative, and just overall personable.
In the last few months, the complex as taken a turn for the ghetto of ways… I chose to pay $ 700 plus a month to ensure a nice community of neighbors, but instead, I now get thugs and young adults who have no respect in regards to keeping the noise levels down at night and banging on their walls.
The pet policy clearly states that no pitbulls allowed, and that seems to be breed i see nowadays!
I am paying for a gated community, however, the gate was broken recently for almost a month. They only fixed it yesterday (7÷13÷2011) bc the day before (⁷⁄₁₂) 3 of the apartments in the complex were broken into, one of which was a friend of mine whom I had highly recommended to move here! She actually walked in on the man who had broken into her unit. (I’m so ashamed and sorry for that decision now!)
After she warned me to be careful, I questioned one of the office personnel about it who happened to be showing the model to a prospective resident. I asked her about what was going to be done about the incident as I am about 6 months pregnant. She told me to just file a complaint with the office manager (not Eric anymore, but a girl who was promoted bc people kept leaving the office and who was always rude to me unless she was around prospective clients around her)
WELL… the office manager called my friend and asked her if she knew me. and that there are possible consequences for «breach of contract» as I revealed this information in front of a prospective client. I couldnt believe it when my friend told me this… i mean… HELLO!!! Your’re going to threaten her with «possible consequences for breach of contract» on the same day her private space she calls home was VIOLATED!!! HOW DARE THEY! how about breach of contract for never fixing the gate for almost a month… letting people have pit bulls when your rules clearly state they cant!
I’m so glad my lease is over next month! Such a nice place gone to S**T!
