I stopped here one morning during a cycling trip from Pittsburgh to DC, and it will be a staple of future trips! I rolled in right when they opened at 7am, so it wasn’t very busy; just a few regulars. I sat down with a cup of coffee in an Eeyore mug(Good morning, if it is a good morning… which I doubt.) and grabbed a donut. Despite Eeyore’s prediction, it was a very good morning. The donuts were delicious, wait time for my food wasn’t bad, and the food was great. Prices were cheap as heck, and our waitress was friendly. Even the discounted day-old pastry I grabbed for eating later was very tasty. Sweetie’s was just the thing I needed to get me over the Continental Divide. Thanks!

Small town, neighborly café, but suffers from extraordinarily slow service and mediocre food. We came for breakfast. It took 15 minutes to order, and then an additional 50 minutes for our food — an omelette and eggs with sausage-gravy biscuits to arrive. The orange juice never came. No one ever checked on us, despite us flagging down a server several times to ask when our food would be done. Our table was not an aberration– most tables took about an hour from arrival to food, to mounting frustration from the customers. The omelette was fine, but both the gravy and biscuits suffered from being very gummy. The coffee was extremely weak, more like coffee-flavored water than coffee.

Quintessential small town bakery and café. Came in just after noon and got breakfast(which they serve all day) of eggs and french toast with real maple syrup. Service was very friendly and the prices were dirt cheap, what more could you ask for?

It’s pretty simple… best turkey panini I ever have eaten.
