Nice bike shop AND they have an art gallery in the back room of local artists’ works.

My wife and I were doing the GAP trail and when the lug mount on my bike broke under the weight of the pannier. Fortunately we staying in Confluence and stopped at the Confluence Cyclery — at 4:45 pm — luckily they were still open. Brad, the owner is a great mechanic and a great guy. He skillfully removed the stub of the old lug mount, fabricated new mounts from a piece of angle and cut them to size, installed them and had me on my way. I could not have asked for better service — he saved our trip, because riding with the panniers across the top tube was really difficult. In addition while he was fixing by bike — I looked around his shop — it was very well stocked with may items a cyclist would need as well as a nice selection of Fuji. Again it was a pleasure to meet Brad and greatly appreciated his assitance. If you are near confluence and need parts or help with your bike I highly recommend stopping.

This is a nice shop along the GAP bike trial. We stopped in for cold drink while out for a ride and checked out the shop. They have a nice selection of gear and things were reasonably priced. I appreciate that they were open late in the season and would not hesitate stopping here if in need of advice, gear, or maintenance while on the trail.

What a cute little bike shop! The only one in town, run by a very friendly retired couple. Stop by when you’re biking through Confluence(11 miles from Ohiopyle by bike) to fill your water bottle, shop, and get some air in your tires. They also have restrooms.

I was in the process of biking from pittsburgh to DC, and I had to stop here to get my bike rigged up with a rack for my supplies. It was cheaper than expected, and I even left with some complementary rope to tie my bag onto my bike! An overall wonderful experience! The staff engaged in wonderful conversation and gave me marvelous tips for the journey ahead of me. Definitely support this bike shop :)

The shop was great, and Brad the owner was extremely helpful and kind. Very knowledgable about the area and he gave us great advice in planning our trip. He was also able to quickly fix a problem on my bike so that I could keep riding. I can’t recommend the shop enough!

I discovered that I had a flat tire, and it turned out that I needed a new one. The owner replaced it quickly and at a reasonable price. I couldn’t have been happier with the prompt and friendly service.

Great place! After a 20 mile bike ride on the GAP, I knew I needed a new bike seat. These folks fit me with the best seat(and didn’t try to push the most expensive one). They even adjusted my husband’s bike seat and he didn’t even buy it from them. Nice, friendly folks. Highly recommended!

Great selection, decent prices, very helpful(and cool) owner. Got a stem leak while in Confluence(what a coincidence, given our long ride) and the owner suggested that we use his tools and stand to fix it(since he knew we were savvy).

Just bought a bike and a few accessories at the Cyclery with very helpful advice from the owner, who took all the time that was necessary to make sure that it was the right bike and the right fit for the intended use. While I was there, he also took the time(after asking if would mind) to help a family with some much needed adjustments to one of the children’s bikes without charge and without knowing if they were going to make a purchase or not. I see no reason to go anywhere else for bike sales or service.

Brad and Maureen are GREAT! We were on our way to DC via the GAP when our friend’s back tire blew out. This after several«slow leaks» and«flats.» Brad and Maureen welcomed us into their shop immediately, diagnosed our friend’s tire problem, and had us back on the trail within an hour. They are good, good people. And their shop is impressive. Just stop by if only to peruse their space and meet them. We’re already planning another trip just to Confluence to buy the t-shirts and other sundries we didn’t want to carry the rest of the way to DC! Thanks, you two! We’ll be back in the fall.

Great bikes, really friendly, helpful owners. When I was delayed getting back to the shop, they stayed on after store hours to wait for me… with a smile on their face. Even though my friends brought their own bikes with them, the owners pumped up their tires for them for free. Definitely will come back.

Great, friendly service at a reasonable cost. We brought my nephew’s rear wheel in to be trued, but it turned out to be completely trashed. They were able to install the new wheel and fix the derailler hanger within minutes. I’d definitely trust them with my bike anytime.

Very nice bike shop with the best part being near the Great Allegheny Passage. Bicycles are $ 20, which I think is a little pricey for half a day. The owner is very nice, helping us make sure the bicycles were properly sized. We ended up renting for a full day and the owner did not charge us anything extra.

As we pedaled our way from Pittsburgh to DC in May of 2010, we made a quick stop for a brew in Ohiopyle. When we returned to our bikes, we discovered that one had toppled over, and twisted it’s front wheel as it did so. Yah…that wasn’t gonna make it another 250 miles, even with Laurel Highlands best truing effort. Off to Confluence Cyclery we go! I have seen the place in the past… I spend a lot of times in the Highlands. But you know, I have never been inside. WHYDID I WAITSOLONG? Simply put? This place ROCKS. From the awesome old building that houses the shop, to the selection of gear and bikes(both for sale and rent), to the quaint little antiques section, to the cool décor(I SOOOOO want the cycle switchplates!), Confluence Cyclery screams Fabulous Local Bike shop! But to top it off? The OWNERS! Wonderfully friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and just overall cool as all get out, they are what bike shop owners should be! From bikes, to local info, to questions about the trail… they were a true gem. And so is their shop! I make it a point to stop in a say hi every time I’m back through town. If you plan to ride the GAP, make sure you make a stop at Confluence Cyclery. Definitely worth the visit! Keep up the awesome job doing what you love! And thanks for a great shop in the Highlands!

My girlfriend and I rented a pair of bikes here for a weekend of riding the Allegheny Passage trails. The bikes were in great shape, and $ 25 a day also got us helmets and plenty of recommendations about where to eat, how late the grocery stores were open, and anything else about the region we could think of. It’s 100 scenic meters from the bike trail. Reservations were probably not necessary, but they do take them. They also can help you arrange to get picked up by a shuttle down the trail if you don’t want ride out & back.
