STAT MED Urgent Care – Pleasant Hill/Concord

My son needed a physical last minute to tryout for his HS basketball team. I couldn’t take time off of work to take him to his pediatrician, so I called STAT MED and they were available to take my son that same evening with no wait time. Staff were pleasant and the facility was very clean. Another plus was that their cost for my sons physical was $ 60, which is much cheaper than other places that charged outrageous prices. I have Kaiser so I had to pay out of pocket, but they accept HMO and PPO.

I’m new to the area and needed to be seen quickly. The doctor and staff were attentive, professional, and fast! Excellent facility.

Booking the appointment was convenient and comforting as I was able to book it online at 2am for an 8:30am appt. I’m use to Kaiser and having to go through at least two people on the phone and inconvenient repetitive conversation just to get in.
This place was so clean and all around top notch. Pricing is reasonable as well. Doctor was very sweet with my 3yr old boy; as was the staff. I highly recommend you come here for your urgent care needs.

Very pleased with our care here! The facility has only been open for 3 weeks, but they are really determined to do things right. The office is new and very sleek with plenty of chairs in the waiting areas. They are attempting to keep everything electronic, which means no pile of paperwork when you check in! The nursing staff and doctors all used a Microsoft Surface instead of paper records or clunky computer terminals when recording vitals and notes.
The wait time was short, my husband was called back very quickly. He was being seen for back pain and they were able to do an x-​ray on-​site. Overall, very seamless process and the doctor was very kind and to the point. No holier than thou preaching about issues that he wasn’t there for. You start to appreciate that after hearing doctors bring up things that have little to do with your actual complaint or don’t take you seriously. He was given clear instructions for follow-​up and work, medication called in, and no extra fuss.
Now, the extra perks. I drove my husband in with our two children (just happened to work out that way). The staff was so pleasant while we waited for him to see the doctor! A man came out and asked all of the people in the waiting room if they would like water and then provided everyone that said yes with an ice cold bottle of water. It is a little gesture, but very appreciated. This seems to be a standard thing for the office. The nurse was really sweet and came over with a treasure chest of toys they keep for their younger patients and allowed my children to pick a treat for being well behaved. This next part may seem weird, but again, sometimes its the little things that count. The bathrooms were well stocked. I don’t just mean clean and with toilet paper, but both restrooms had a small shelving unit stocked with feminine supplies, diapers, baby wipes, air freshener, etc. I’m sure most people know that being at an urgent care center isn’t usually the most pleasant experience, but they have really tried to think of those creature comforts that may make your trip to the doctor a little more comfortable.
We will definitely be using them in the future for our urgent medical care!

Really excited to see an urgent care facility so conveniently located. They are located right outside Sunvalley Mall and next to the Baja Fresh. There are more locations in the area, but this is the closest one for us.
