Shirin’s Day Care

There’s probably not much point to me writing a review for Shirin because I think she has as much business as she wants/​needs, but since writing Unilocal reviews is what I do, I just can’t help myself. My son is currently 8 months old and has been hanging out with Shirin all week since he was 5.5 months old, and she’s just the most wonderful person ever. She loves the babies so much, and her husband helps out a lot and he’s just so wonderful too… I can’t even tell you how glad I am to have found her, and just through Unilocal,actually! We got so lucky. I’m already worried that she’s going to retire before I can get my second kid in with her, and I don’t even have a second kid yet. She charges reasonable prices, she’s flexible, and it’s really just like leaving your baby with a super competent grandparent. :) Every day when I pick him up I hang out for like 45 minutes because it’s just such a nice atmosphere. She’s got so much energy, she feeds them all organic food, doesn’t let them cry if she can possibly help it, and she treats them like they’re her own. Love love love Shirin and Nader.

My son has been going to Shirin since he was 5 months old. Sadly, our family is relocating out of the area and we have to leave, I am just devastated to lose her. Shirin made my transition back to work much easier. Like the other reviewers, we interviewed multiple day care settings, the moment we arrived to meet with Shirin and her husband, Nader, we completely felt at ease. Shirin loved on my son from the moment they met and has continued to act as a Grandmother to him. My son LOVES going to Shirin’s! I go to work knowing my son is safe, well cared for and most of all loved beyond measure. I love the fact that Shirin doesn’t confine the kids to just one room, she lets them safely roam free around her house and promotes a lot of outside play when the weather is nice. She prepares all homemade meals and buys organic. My son was given his own pack and play in his own room for nap time and was always cuddled or rocked to sleep if needed. Shirin promotes a lot of creative play with singing, dancing, acting and make believe. Shirin is and always will be a part of our family and we will miss her greatly. I can not recommend anyone more. She is wonderful and we love her!

5 Stars for Shirin! She really is as good as it gets. Shirin is exceptional. She is family and she will treat your child as one of her own. The children are not sequestered to only one area of the house. She picks them up and kisses and hugs them, she plays with them, running around, dancing, and singing. She works with the unique nature of each child listening and observing carefully to what each child needs. If you breast feed/​pump, she knows what to do. If you cloth diaper, she is cool with that. She makes delicious home cooked meals and introduces your child to new tastes. She buys organic milk and meat. Your children will play outside whenever possible and watch very little TV. They will be loved and safe. It’s like going to grandma’s house every day and my daughter sometimes cries on the weekends or on vacations because she misses her. And it goes both ways because sometimes Shirin calls us to tell us she misses my girls!
I have been going to Shirin’s since January 2010 when I needed someone for my 10 month old «high need» baby who would not sleep in a crib and cried a lot. In our first meeting, Shirin went right to our daughter, held her and talked to her. It was love at first sight. I can’t tell you how many other people we interviewed who made no effort to connect with our daughter. Shirin tried many different ways to get our daughter to sleep, and eventually found a way that worked and would hold her extensively on days when she cried a lot. I never have received a harried call telling me to get my kid. Shirin can handle any situation. Do you have a very clingy child who cries when you leave? So did I. Of course you know they stop right after you leave, but Shirin went so far as to find ways to ease that transition between saying goodbye and the door closing. It can be downright heartbreaking leaving your young children to go to work, but I feel so relieved that I can leave them in Shirin’s loving care.

I brought both my sons to Shirin’s Day Care at 9 weeks old. She was referred to me by my sister. She had taken care of my niece until she was in preschool. Lucky me to have found someone who I can completely trust with my most precious things in the world. Shirin always had a clean house, homemade from scratch food, and lots of love! She even gave them both their first haircuts. Shirin and her family were so nice and special to us, they became a part of our family. We and our boys still get together with Shirin and her family and the boys are now 10 and 13. Their fondest memories are at Shirin’s house. I would and have recommended her to anyone! She is wonderful!

I interviewed 20 child care providers before selecting Shirine. My wife and I did extensive research to ensure our two boys were in a safe and nurturing environment. We were overwhelmed by the genuine concern and excellent care our boys received. She treats everyone like family. We were very fortunate to have Shirine take care of our children.
