I understand that you get what you pay for and was not expecting a spa experience, just a good massage and decent customer service. Unfortunately, my good massage experience was about 50% and my customer service experience was less than that. My first massage was good and signed up for a membership when they opened. Since then I have had other massages and was happy with half of them. At first, I was having a sauna with the massage, but even when I specifically asked the therapist to make sure it was hot when I got in, it didn’t happen and was a waste of time and money. When I was unhappy with my massage and/or the sauna, I let the receptionist know about it, but there was no follow up and barely an apology. Last week, I tried it one more time before deciding if I wanted to continue my membership. The massage was good, but when it was over, I was told that my membership had not been renewed because they had raised the membership price and that I needed to pay for the massage, which I was not expecting. The receptionist argued with me about it when I said that I needed to check my bank records and I left very stressed, which was a terrible way to leave a message. When I talked to that receptionist and another receptionist, I was given lots of excuses for the way they handled the situation, all boiling down to poor management and a lack of customer service. I was easy to decide not to renew my membership after that. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Massage Green.

Had my first massage here last night with Daniel and I am so glad I did!!! I will keep coming back. My body was hurting so bad and also had reflexology and today I am feeling so much better… totally recommend this place. The Young lady in the reception was wonderful too.

I have been very pleased with my experiences at Massage Green. I’ve been a member for several months and have had eight massage appointments with a variety of therapists — all have been high quality massages. My back has issues from constant on-the-job sitting and would not respond to amateur work — but every therapist I’ve been to here has helped. Memberships are optional, but a good value: $ 39.95 per month for a one-hour massage(that gets carried over if you don’t use it). Subsequent massages during the month are only $ 34.95. You can cancel anytime. This place is organized and well managed as well. Massage appointments can be made online through their website, even with a particular therapist. Reminder calls are consistently given the day before. The environment is nicely suited for your appointment, waiting room and massage rooms contribute to a calming atmosphere. The only drawback is sometimes residual noise from the karate studio next door, but it’s nothing I have found overly disturbing. Massage Green has been a great addition to our neighborhood, and I’m glad I found them.

I will be recommending this to friends that go to other message places! I’ve tried a few and I really really really feel like this place trumps anywhere else I’ve gone. Now I need to just get a membership!

Absolutely GREAT! The décor is definitely up there with the high end spas(and I know, because 20 years ago I was fortunate to visit some of the cream of the crop in the US to update the book«Take This Body and Fix It» which was a review of great spas and resort spas). Massage Green Spa is a franchise operation, and they offer a REASONABLE membership option … but, their membership is not like a gym, it’s easy to cancel, and they allow a substantial discount off the already REASONABLE spa services fee to a spouse. Okay, so the outside décor and rooms are terrific — totally a 5+++ rating. Even down to the electronic heated treatment beds(I’ll bet the massage therapists love that). The technician who work on me, Adrianna, was superb. She had 8 years experience and certainly knew her craft. Kudos for attracting experienced talent Green Spa! There was no pressure cooker sales to get into a membership package… with or without the membership, the prices can’t be beat. Front desk staff is friendly and their hours are terrific — open until 9pm. Planning to go back weekly for chair massages while working an intense work project causing a lot of computer work and neck crinks. Only con: They are tucked in the middle of the Vineyards strip mall between McCaulous and K-mart. Their neighbors are a karate business and a hair salon which can be heard in the treatment rooms, but the owner is working on solutions.

A mailer offering a $ 29.95 introductory massage brought me to Massage Green which is on Clayton Road in the K-Mart Shopping Center. Before booking my appointment, I stopped by and had a friendly and helpful talk with a young woman at the reception desk. She also allowed me to see one of the treatment rooms. I then decided to book a one-hour introductory massage. Certainly the price was right … and the offer of the first six months at the same $ 29.95 was also tempting. Usual rate is $ 39.95. However, I am not about to give up my usual spa in Walnut Creek, even though it is a farther drive and two to three times more expensive. Frankly, I prefer the extra pampering that I get a full service spa: changing room, robes and slippers, showers, steam room, garden area, aqua terra room with tea and healthy snacks, pre-massage foot soak, special lotions, etc. What I liked about Massage Green: price, friendly and professional staff, close to my home, no need to sign up for long-term package. What I didn’t like about Massage Green: 1) The reception area had a «fake» fireplace(TV screen) running on one of the hottest days of the year. Furniture and décor while I am sure is pleasant for many people felt rather«cheap» to me. 2) No changing room or showers. and apparently no plans to add. 3) Walls were thin. During my massage I could hear voices and noise from the hall and/or adjoining room. This was not relaxing and in fact, quite annoying. 4) Therapist applied more pressure than I liked, even when I told her it was too much. By evening the upper thigh of one leg was quite painful. 5) The therapist had rather rough palms which I found odd as most therapists have very soft skin from using so much lotion. 6) The lotion was nothing special. I don’t know if there is the possibility of upgrading like I have at my regular spa. Overall, it did not feel like a «spa» experience which I am willing to pay more for. For a plain«massage» experience, then Massage Green may be fine.
