I had 1 inspection in February of 2015 and they found very little. The total estimate was $ 2700 for all the repairs. In October of 2015, another company came out and did a termite inspection and found $ 22,000 in repairs needed. I do not fee that GNG did a thorough job of inspecting my home. Also, I had an appointment with GNG in October and they cancelled and would not schedule me for another appointment for 2 weeks. The receptionist was very rude. I will not be dealing with GNG anymore and I do not recommend the company.

We hired GNG to treat out home for termites shortly after purchasing it. The home actually had 3 inspections, 2 by the previous homeowners and 1 by us during escrow. GNG was the second inspection done by the previous homeowners since the crawl space was very tight. Not even the inspectors we hired attempted to get under the house. GNG was the only company that attempted to go under there and then subsequently find termites. The office staff was pleasant and easy to work with and Brian, the inspector/manager, is a real gem! After recommending a different way to access the crawl space, he came back to treat the termites and do a further inspection of the areas that were previously inaccessible. He continued to inspect around the home and seemed to have superior knowledge and understanding of termites and current treatments. He even offered to come back if it rains heavily this winter to check if the house remains dry. We’ve already recommended him to our friends and, although we hope never to have a major termite issue, would love to have him back again!

I’m kinda surprised that they’re aren’t more reviews on GnG, but I guess termite/pest control isn’t all that exciting. In short the owner, Brian, gave me options that accomplished what I needed at the lowest cost to me considering my abilities, and did it all in a professional manner while at the same time being one of the most personable guys I’ve worked with on my current project. I’m a pretty accomplished DIY guy but there some things like official termite inspections/treatments you need done by a professional. Brian is tops, the inspection turned up allot of termites/damage and dry rot that I knew about and some I didn’t. Brian didn’t hesitate for a second in helping me with advice on the best, most efficient, and least costly repair options. Since I was just about to start a complete DIY kitchen remodel and contemplating selling soon, he recommended that I add the report/repair to the permit thereby getting the building inspector to sign off on my DIY repairs and avoiding the cost of having him do the work and also avoiding a re-inspection fee. He pointed out that even after repairs evidence of termite activity would still remain visible and that having a building inspector’s approval of the repairs would go a long way in avoiding any questions that may arise during a presale inspection. Done and done. After the repairs I did have Brian out for the complete treatment. He took the time to explain every detail of the process and methodology. I recommend GnG without hesitation.

As a first-time home buyer, everything is intimidating and overwhelming, particularly the inspections. Brian, from GNG termite inspection, was not only a pleasure to work with, but he really spelled everything out for me in a way that was easy to understand and that demystified much of the inspection process. He helped me formulate a game plan so that I could differentiate between the things that needed to be addressed immediately versus those that we could slowly tackle as weekend projects. You hardly imagine walking away from a termite inspection with a warm, fuzzy feeling, yet oddly enough I did. I would highly recommend this company… and I loved working with Brian.
