Dippin’ Dots

I really enjoy Dippin Dots — its texture is so unique and because I have only ever seen it sold in amusement parks and some malls, it is always a treat to get some :)
I got the special flavor — I believe it was called holiday peppermint crunch or something along those lines? I was originally going to get mint chocolate chip but the limited edition flavor was basically peppermint with Oreos so I opted to try that instead. I got a small for $ 4.25, which is pricey but I suppose it’s not a dessert I would get regularly, and the flavor I ended up getting was really delicious!
The service I received here was alright — I was helped right away and was given my order quickly but the cashier didn’t seem too friendly and turned away as soon as he gave me my order so I didn’t ask for a receipt even though I wanted one.
Overall though, this is a convenient location for a yummy treat! I will probably stop by again if I’m in the area :)

Me and my sister always get dippin dots whenever we go to this mall; it’s our little tradition. We came during our Christmas shopping and bought twos regulars, Oreo and Cookie Dough. Halfway through eating both of ours we noticed something hard to chew and we both spat the pieces out. There was mechanical pencil lead in our dippin dots. We went back to the cashier working the booth and we showed her a picture of the lead I had spat onto my hand. I told her that she should pull out the two batches we had because that’s dangerous. She just said sorry and did nothing about it. When I asked for a refund, she said she didn’t know how to and just refunded me for one by pulling money out of the till when I paid with card. I was kinda irritated I only got money back for one so we just left. I’m upset that she just kept selling the product and didn’t even provide good customer service. I probably won’t be going back here. It’s questionable how it was even possible lead was put in the first place.

Way cheaper than the amusement parks, very convenient since it’s so close to home too! Plus there’s no tax. I recommend getting half and half of two flavors in one cup– banana split & cookies and cream
