Unexpectedly delightful! After hearing about this place from our Dr.(Who wasn’t sure he wanted to tell too many folks about his new favorite restaurant), we agreed to try it for my parents 59th wedding anniversary! Simply good ingredients, expertly prepared and presented! Oh, and delicious!

Try the new Backwater location today. One of the best places I have eaten in Columbus. I had the organic spinach risotto with sea scallops and added shrimp. The creativity that this chef has is unmatched buy any surrounding restaurants especially in the back water location. To eat here and have only a salad or a pizza with water would be discredited and short-changing yourself. I have not had anything on this menu at either location that has not been above what most locals call 5 Star cuisine. The effort and time that’s put into these meals and preparation for them you can actually taste. I have traveled the world and I’ve eaten food in Italy northern and southern Italy and this is very close and in some aspects a little better because of the changes and twist that the chef personally adds. The chef even came out and spoke which says a whole lot about what type of person is preparing your meal. The grace an Eclectic manner that the chef puts into his food is unmatched buy anything that I’ve tried in the local area of Columbus. Job well done Trevor Godspeed.

Very good. Tortellini in blush sauce has good. I liked the sauce the best; it mops up well with their in-shop baked bread. The cheese cake is very good, too.

Can I say AMAZING? Definitely would not expect this kind of food to come early out of a place that looks like a warehouse. My husband had the ravioli and I had the caprese salad and we split the brushetta. So amazing. So good. So YUM! Will definitely be back. And soon!

So on the outside, this place looks essentially like an industrial mega trailer of a rent-a-space storage franchise… and then you look at the center door… and you realize oh wow this is actually a restaurant. Let me state straight up… a lot about this place is very much an acquired taste. I really liked it… but some might find it a bit too different. First off — those who aren’t really familiar with gourmet pasta products might not completely appreciate the deliciously hearty texture, flavor, and contours of hand made pasta. So basically, you don’t want to go here with someone who has been eating Chef-boyardee their entire life. I took my super foodie sister(okay to be honest, Elton John made everywhere else insanely busy). Oh ya, and it is a bit darky night timey décor inside, with some random props(though amusingly well decorated wine bottle walls)… so you better eat here with someone you like, or else you might feel like you are stuck in a cave. BUT… once you get over those two qualities, this is a gem of a find… The menu is nice and simple(I hate those places with those mega-fold menus). I had the mushroom based Ravioli… and the sauce were amazing — like did I really not travel to Europe amazing! I really enjoyed how they put together the hand made pasta. I was not a big fan of my dessert though — a vanilla crème based product(kinda forgot exactly what it was — a little bit to rich and sugary for me. It almost cost my giving it 5 stars. What ultimately makes this place the ultimate winning choice for me is that our service was splendid. The waitress was super kind and somehow comped a small portion of our meal since we waited a little bit(totally unexpected). This place would be even more amazing if they had little cards that explained how such a nice eating establishment came to be in such a unique physical space.(maybe even make it one of those story postcards).

Fantastic! Fresh, fresh, fresh. Shrimp linguine was excellent, house salad with goat cheese, very savory, cheesecake and crème brûlée were both divine. Great, friendly service. Priced competitively with local chain Italian restaurants, but puts them to shame in terms of the quality of the food and ambience. Very small dining area, get there early to avoid the rush.

I was in town(Columbus) for work travel and was told by a local that I HAD to try this little, hidden restaurant. It’s is definitely hidden(in a storage unit on a back road). The service was excellent!!! Michael was our waiter and he did and outstanding job of serving us, explaining the menu, and making sure our drinks stayed full. The food however, was not as good as I had hoped. It was very average; which, in itself isn’t that big of a deal except that we paid higher-than-average prices for it. I had a small plate is 3 cheese tortellini(approx 7 pieces) with about 4 small slices of baked chicken and my meal was 18 $ not including the drink. Any and all sides were a la cart… not even a salad did not come with this 18 $ plate. The taste of the food definitely didn’t make up for the price hit. I wouldn’t go back. I like Italian but next time I’ll just hit Olive Garden. The food there is good and you get salad and bread sticks with he meal, for less $.

This was very interesting. I was visiting my mom who lives here from Chicago and she tells me this place is one of the best and the new«it» place. I can see why. It is nothing like Columbus, that’s for sure. This place is hard to find and VERY small on the inside. We waited quite awhile to get a table. Bread was delish, I had a beer and the mushroom ravioli. It was REALLY good. It felt very«north» to me, like a trendy Chicago bar. Décor was a lot of black with chalkboard stuff. I’d go here again.

Good dinner on a cold evening in Columbus. As mentioned in other reviews, you will drive right past this place if you’re not looking. It is part of an industrial strip with little to no clue from the outside what is within. Was seated promptly, brought water and a menu and given a moment. Ordered a beer and the Caprese Salad to start. Tomato, basil, mozzarella salad with balsamic, salt and pepper is a favorite dish of mine and this was solid. It is tough to find good tomatoes in January without a greenhouse and these were pretty average, but overall, the dish was good. I was however a bit disappointed to just be offered table salt and ground pepper in plastic containers. Great Caprese cries out for big flakes of sea salt and fresh cracked peppercorns. Pasta and meatballs were also very good. Meatballs are baked, rather than boiled in sauce, and the rich meat with wonderful browning was a nice touch. Service from Lauren was perfect. Food presentation was top notch. Prices were reasonable. Very satisfied customer.

Another great meal. The Caesar salad with homemade croutons is still superb. Tonight the Portobello ravioli was creamy and fresh and buttery and delicious. Dare you to find better in this city. Love this place.

Tucked away, but not far, from a well traveled road. The people are friendly and open, the food is delicious, creative, and perfectly made. Try the cheesecake!

Wonderful date night location. The delectably soft homemade pasta is clearly made with high quality ingredients and is a sure win. We are always looking for a location with that low, romantic mood lighting and fine wine and this place fits that bill. The interior is creatively modest and the food is bold and speaks for it’s self. The atmosphere and style evokes a feeling of home which is always appreciated from afar. We are excited to explore this menu and it’s wine accompaniments. Bellissimo!

Don’t be fooled by the industrial exterior to this Colombus gem! Dark tones and soft lighting, accompanied by the mellow vocals of the Rat Pack and the like bouncing around and through the wooden grotto hanging inside, create quite a delectable atmosphere. The wine list was fairly decent and clearly rotated(chalk board list) offering variety over time. We ordered the Broquel Malbec which was smooth and silky and went well with our eggplant parmigiana with extra chicken on top. Homemade pasta swirled in subtle marinara topped with thin slices of Parmesan cheese made quite the dish. The eggplant was expertly sautéed and had a nice crisp to it. Marinara sauce was a bit basic but still far better than your chain restaurant sauce and a whole lot healthier. Bread to start was fair, a bit heavy but a good start. Service was amiable and prompt from Kara/Cara. Electronic payment tablet made it simple and fast to cash out. Will definitely return. Next time, my beautiful date and I are going for the pizza!

This place is UNBELIEVABLE! The pasta is fresh and made in house. This was the best kept secret in Columbus until I discovered it. Too good to keep to myself. A must try!

The rumors are true, there is a restaurant in a storage facility and it’s delicious folks! All of the tables were full when we arrived, so we were seated at the bar(by choice) and ended up really liking sitting there. They had a «Wine Wall» with all wines and prices written for you to see largely. The food was great. My husband ordered lamb and I had eggplant Parmesan. After the meal, we were given complimentary cheesecake and I have to say, if you ever eat cheesecake anywhere, eat it there. You won’t regret it. They did seem to have a problem with not being able to check people out. Inconsistent credit card machine due to poor service area apparently and it was pretty smoky in the restaurant the entire time we were there so I gave it four out of five stars. I will definitely go back.

My wife and I love Italian food and this was by far the best in the columbus area. The bread was warm and delicious. I had the fettuccine and my wife had the ravioli. I love a really good homade pasta, this was amazing. The staff is awesome as well, I had the tall skinny lady. She was really friendly and on top of our drink orders. The only reason why it lost a star is because it’s a little warm in there. I know they are doing their best with all the fans, but it still was a little toasty. Other than that, I would recommend this place to others.

My husband and I have eaten here twice and it has been fantastic both times. Great service, delicious food, and a neat atmosphere. The first time we brought our three year old and no one seemed to mind. She was very content eating a side of meatballs(awesome by the way). We ate there again last night, just the two of us, and had such a nice time I had to write a review. Lauren was our server and she was so nice and very attentive. The bread came out warm and was the perfect start to our meal. I ordered the spinach risotto and scallops and it was so yummy. If we had been alone I would have licked my plate. Seriously. My husband had the chicken fettucini alfredo and it was also very good. We are getting ready to move back to Germany and this is one of very few restaurants in Columbus that I will really miss.

Food presentation is important. I liked the ravioli but they were smothered in sauce and the cheese was uneven. The dessert — chocolate panna cotta — immaculate, heavenly. I would have liked to come here w company. Very nice, and not what you’d expect in Columbus, GA. Dusty fans are gross. I really like the mixed Italian n French theme. Changing chalkboard wine list is 100% character. Next time I try a pizza!

It should be noted that my first impression was that there is no way this could be good, its in a storage unit, as soon as I walk in my perception changed completely. Its quaint and tucked away, it feels private and I love that. The food was pretty good, the building was hot.

Hard to find but the food is great, you may not love every dish but they are all well crafted, freshly made and will be absolutely delicious to someone. They started as a takeout restaurant and have recently added a SMALL sit down eating area. They have a decent wine selection and the weekly specials are usually great but don’t count on them having either the wine you want or the weekly special available when you want it. They are a small operation and don’t have unlimited supplies. The weely special is cooked daily and when they run out they don’t have the time or supplies to make more and the wines are the similar. They order wines and are a small operation without facilities for storage so if they run out they might be out until they can get resupplied. The fact that they run out of items is PROOFABSOLUTE that people do enjoy the food and wines that they serve and that they provide top notch food and service.
