Thrifty little store with some vintage stuff and modern new things including furniture. Cool place to stop. A little on the pricey side for some things.

It’s great to see The Swanky Abode find a home in a larger space at Easton. The previous store was called Nest and located in a smaller space… and before that it was a store just open during the holidays with a different name. There was also a Polaris location. So, aside from the frequent name/location change I’m a big fan of this housewares shop. You’ll find modern flair mixed with vintage pieces. If you’re in need of a gift, this is a great place. From birdhouses to jewelry, there’s really something for everyone. The staff is always really helpful and friendly. Some of my favorite items: MTN spray paint — Awesome colors, no CFC’s KNOCKKNOCK stationary — Fashion Citations, Rate That Wine, etc. Vase fillers — glass, marbles, wire balls, mini clothes pins and tons more I definitely recommend stopping in to browse, chances are you’ll find something you need.

Unique wonderfully eclectic store for C-bus. They have a well edited collection of vintage finds combined with housewares, jewelry(some local,) art, and furniture. The very nice salespeople advised me that the«do not sit» signs were a deterrent, but not to be taken literally. Certainly, if I was interested in any piece I was welcome to sit. The pricing is moderate, and yes you could find better prices if you had the time and inclination to look. However, you wouldn’t find that mid-century mod thru the 70s stuff you’d get at this store. It is very well done. I’m hoping our sometimes traditional community supports this store. While the concept looks like it would be more at home in the short north they chose to get the most exposure at a larger retail outlet. Smart move. I really hope it pays off. I’d like to see them stick around.

2.5 We were greeted by a nice guy explaining how the store works, old and new mixed together. Any tags marked with a «V» is a ‘vintage’ piece. There are a mix of things from lamps to soaps to antique alcohol bottles to novelty items. Pretty much anything goes. They do have a «gallery» of furniture, none of which you’re allowed to sit on. Uh… if I’m going to shell out a couple hundred bucks or more for furniture, you’d better bet my heiney is gonna sit on it. I could understand if they had a sign saying to keep children off of it or the piece was really fragile but that is the first time I’ve ever seen that at a furniture/antique store. Make no mistake this is an upscale antique store so there’s a mark up. Over the past 2 weeks, we’ve hit almost every antique store in the Columbus area and I saw 3 things here that I either bought or looked at buying and they were 50% more than what I paid. This place is nice to browse but I don’t have money to burn.
