The Natural Nail Spa

I loved the girls working there but it was a bizarre manicure. Never saw any water, to soak my nails. Underneath my nails wasn’t ever cleaned. Just clipped and polished? And then the chipping started 3 days in. So disappointed. Now I have to drag my 2 girls with me this week to get them redone. My husband is traveling and we leave Friday for a ton of Christmas parties. I have never had had a gel manicure chip so quickly. :(
My eyebrows were done too. And those were great.

This is my second time having a gel manicure and I must say, once again disappointed. It hasn’t even been a week (3 days) and my gel polished has chipped on two fingers, Wtf?! Gel is suppose to last for at least 2 weeks. This salon sucks and the girl who did my nails does too. When I first arrived it was not busy but then two others came in and I feel like she began to rush. She didn’t even SOAK my nails which was part of the manicure but OK… The other staff lady asked if she needed to heat up the water again for me and she said «No it’s ok.» And gave her a look. What a … I know I will never return to the natural nail spa ever again. What poor service they have! I didn’t want to give a star but it made me pick at least one.

Last Wednesday I went to Natural Nail Spa for a gel manicure. Cost @ $ 36 with tip. I was excited I was leaving for vacation on Thursday.
Sitting on the plane Thursday morning, I noticed one of my nails was chipped! I was disappointed. I thought I will call the salon on Friday and see when they could fix the nail. On Friday morning when I got up another nail was chipped, now I am annoyed. Day one of vacation starts with not one but two chipped nails.
I called the salon to see when they could fix my nails after I got back. This is what I heard from the owner. «You must have had your hand in the light wrong» and «it must be your nails» I have had many a gel manicure and was trying this place from a friends recommendation. Never ever have I had a gel manicure chip!!! I expected to hear I’m sorry that happened when can you come in to have them fixed? But no the owner just wanted to blame me and argue with me.
I would have been a happy customer had I heard the «I’m sorry that happened when can you come have them fixed! It would have taken maybe 10 Min to fix the nails and have a happy return customer but not now.
What a waste of money, I will have to find another salon to fix my nails! I’m sure they will be friendlier!

YOU NEED TO TRY THIS SALON! I grew up in Ohio but recently moved to Chicago. This past weekend I was out with my mom and we decided we wanted to treat ourselves to a mother-​daughter spa day. Since this was last minute we tried to go to another salon first. However, since it was Saturday they didn’t have any walk-​in times available. I did a quick google search and The Natural Nail Spa popped up. Learning from our mistake I called and asked if they had any times available. They did, and we made an appointment.
To make sure you get the attention you deserve I would make an appointment. It is not like the other salons around the area and what I am used to in Chicago where all the technicians want to do is get you in and out. Here, these ladies take the time to provide you with a healthy, serene, and relaxing experience. If you need something quick, go some place else.
When we arrived, they knew exactly who we were and offered us cold bottled water. We only had to wait a few minutes while the prepped the pedicure chairs. Our experience with the staff was great. Everyone interacted with each other like family. The lotions and sugar scrubs are made by them, and the nail polishes are the healthiest. They also don’t do acrylic nails, so the air is much cleaner. It’s a great place, and my mom and I will be back. Seriously, I will drive the six hours to get my nails done here!

I love the concept of this place. I went for a mani pedi prenatal spa experience. The staff wasn’t very ‘warm’ the place is quiet and inviting however. I do plan to go back to see if my experience improves the second time around. Fyi make an appt. When I walked in the first thing the tech asked me was do you have an appt. I told her yes, she told me to sit down, and ten minutes later (after my scheduled appt time) she told me to sit in the chair. No introductions. No greetings.

We walked in an hour after they opened. There was one client and one technician, other than that it was a ghost town. The women were chatting and when we came in they looked at us incredulously. After a long pause the woman working there curtly asks of she can help us then happily informs us that they are not taking walk ins that day. Lord.
If they would have hired two more people they would have made a couple hundred bucks and maybe repeat clients, rather they earned this review.
There are many other places around Polaris with much happier people who will be glad to do your nails. That is where we went and I would suggest you do too.

I have tried numerous nail salons in the Polaris area and this salon is head and shoulders above the rest! They are very concerned with cleanliness to keep your nails healthy. As a bonus, my gel mani lasted 5 weeks. I used a similar polish to touch up the tips occasionally but have never had a manicure last so long. I will NEVER use another salon.

The ladies are quite welcoming and the spa truly has a natural feel. There is a wide range of options to choose from. Appointment times are easy to schedule. Nice location off Sancus! I highly recommend!

The prices are not the lowest, but the quality of the services is the best I’ve had. If my nails hadn’t grown from the bed, the polish would still look good a month later! It’s perfect!

Very disappointing! The owner’s concept is spot on a far as what I want in a nail salon, but the service does not coincide with the concept. The salon is beautifully decorated in a very rustic fashion, which made me feel as though I was entering a relaxed and comfortable space, but that is where it ended. I think the experience would have been more enjoyable with soft music, candles, and technicians that were more professional. The nail technicians talked back and forth the whole time, and the conversation was not anything that an owner would want a customer to hear. My gel polish has been on for about two days now, and the tips and sides of my nails are already chipped. This has not been my experience with gel applied at other salons. When I left, I also noticed that there was gel polish on my skin, which was «baked» on after being placed under the light. This also, has not been my experience with other salons. Glad that I didn’t schedule a pedicure as well, as I feel like it was a complete waste of money. This was a «treat» for me, and it was not relaxing nor was it a good value. I will say that the salon is very clean and inviting, which is extremely important, but it would be helpful if the service matched the image.

This place is quiet, clean and professional. It is a bit out of my way. However, it came highly recommended and I saw a pamphlet at my podiatrist. I had a bad experience at a nail salon while living in Miami, so I was a bit gun shy to get a pedicure when I moved to Columbus. That fear is gone now that I found The Natural Nail Spa. I felt comfortable and the place is incredibly clean. Each pedicure foot bath basin has a liner that is disposed of after each use. Also, tools are only used on one customer. You can have the option to take the file and scrubber with you and the technician will place in a sealed bag for you. All non disposable tools are scrubbed, sanitized and sterilized. Cost may be a bit higher, but well worth it. I didn’t feel rushed, nor did I feel like they were trying to squeeze several clients in for the day. A great place to relax and get your nails done.

Love coming here with my friends! It’s always clean and I feel comfortable. The employees are always hospitable, nice and easy to talk to. Nails always look flawless, great color choices and my nails look good for a long time!

It’s beautiful, and extremely clean. The service providers where very kind. I felt very at home and treated great. My toes look so very beautiful! They’re prices are very fair. I will be back.

Pros: The girls were nice. The products were gentle and smelled good.
Cons: Although I had scheduled the $ 40 student discount pedi/​mani, and I was the only person in the shop, I was given an elaborate treatment that took an hour and a half, cost $ 60 base fee, and still left my nail edges jagged and nail polish a bit lopsided. I could have paid $ 15 at CVS to do it this well myself.
