Sweet Clove Sunshine Cafe

SWEET CLOVE IS WHAT BOB EVANS USED TO BE (before they sacrificed food quality for a cheap price point at Bob Evans) — delicious, decadent, hearty and wonderful.
Sweet Clove is our «go to» place for filling, delicious, not-​so-​good-​for-​you breakfast.
Really good Eggs Benedict, omelettes, pancakes, etc.
Good place — far, far better than Bob Evans. A little more expensive than Bob Evans, too, and worth it.

I’ve been here a couple times, but finally just now getting to a review after my visit last week.
There’s always been a little bit of a wait when we’ve been there on the weekends, so expect that. Last time they told us our wait was 30 minutes, but we ended up getting seated within 15 minutes or so.
We were shown to our seat by this woman (possibly the manager because she was running around everywhere the whole time) and she just set the menus and place settings down and left without a word. I’m kinda used to «hope you guys enjoy your meal today» or «your server will be right with you» or a simple «hello how are you?» from the hostess! Right?!
Our server was very friendly though! She brought us a sweet potato bread right away. It was sweet and delicious.
I ordered the combo eggs benedict– one was with the classic ham and the other with the sweet bacon. Holy meat… couldn’t believe how much ham and bacon came with the dish! I love bacon, but I really like the taste of the ham better. And the bacon was a little difficult to cut with the knife too.
My husband ordered the breakfast skillet, which he said was pretty good. He’s ordered omelettes from here before, and he said they just weren’t too good to order again.
Like I said, our server was very sweet, but she could’ve been a little more attentive. It was busy, but she didn’t check on us until the end of our meal.
Oh and the manager lady who sat us… my husband got up to put his jacket on, and she ran into him and didn’t even apologize. He noticed her run into another customer with no apology as well. *shrugs*
Overall, the food is good. I don’t love it, but I would come back again… and hopefully the service improves!
