I bought my road bike at Polaris three years ago and even though I live downtown now they are my store. They take care of my Sparkles with quick exquisite care and are helpful with my many questions. The shop rides are fun and that Chris Sharp will keep you in stitches just about any time.

I stopped by roll for the first time back in February. Chris was very helpful with selecting a bike that was perfect for me. He was so informative and helpful with any questions that I had. I am always recommending roll to my friends. Roll is the place to go to!

I’ve been wanting to get a bike since last summer, and finally went in last week to pull the trigger on it. I was torn between a hybrid and a road bike and I just really wasn’t sure. The folks up at Roll are so thorough and have great technology to fit you to the perfect bike. It’s incredible. The people there are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable — and it’s not overwhelming or intimidating if you’re new to bicycling. I cannot recommend them enough. I ended up with a road bike that was in stock at another store and still in a box. My bike was assembled and ready to go the very next day — and I’ve been on it almost every day since. Great place.

My initial experience with: roll had been disappointing, but both the service manager and the store manager worked quickly to resolve these issues. I had scheduled my level three tuneup a week in advance, two weeks before my race. This is a thorough tear down, cleaning, and lubrication together with new cables and a refit. I was not satisfied with the service, and my bike had a new squeak in the BB. I returned with my bike to give them the opportunity to make it right, but they could not promise to get the work done on time as they are governed by a scheduling system. I left in frustration. That afternoon, both the service manager and the store manager had called with apologies, explaining they would get the work done right away. I am happy to report their service was friendly and thorough, and I am quite happy with the results.

Just stopped by for a bike check up. They were pretty gracious and worked me in to take a look at it. However, once looking at it they were reluctant to fix the problem because they could not replicate it. They were nice enough to give me a quick tune up and(eventually) a couple of new pedals under warranty. Just average service really on the service side. I bought my bike there because they were highly recommended — hopefully they step it up on service after the sale.

I did my research for months on the bike I wanted and where I wanted to get it. I heard about Roll-Polaris from friends. They weren’t kidding — Roll rules for women! Now I’m sure they are awesome for men, but they helped me with everything not just once to their store but back and forth many times with questions and purchases. I love my new Giant and will frequent this store often. Everyone here is incredibly knowledgeable and want you to have a good experience cycling. Highly recommend.

I’d been thinking about getting a bike for awhile but had kept quiet for most of the winter, because, well, this winter was rough all around. As the snow melted and sun emerged from hiding, my boyfriend looked at me and said«Do you want to look at getting a bike and hitting the bike paths together?» I surveyed some friends who’d purchased bikes in town, I had two stores that were very highly recommended. I checked out Roll online, looked over their bikes, compared prices, read as many descriptions and tried like hell to figure out how I was going to use the bike. The boy and I wandered into Roll yesterday ready to see what would work for me. Aaron greeted us when we walked in and started asking questions about what I was looking for/what I was looking to do on the bike. He steered me towards a bike that was not only affordable but was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Then the fun stuff began. Roll has this«Perfect fit» system which scans your body, takes your measurements and then, after a few more questions, provides recommendations on how the bike should be fitted. Once Aaron got me set up with a helmet(and after a quick safety check), I was handed the bike and told to go for a quick ride around the parking lots. Now, I hadn’t been on a bike in almost 20 years so it took a minute to get my balance and get going. Once I got going, it was hard to stop… the fitting was so perfect that it was like the bike had been made for me. Aaron was spot-on with his suggestion of bike, helmet, and accessories. Since we figured we would have to order a bike, we left the bike rack at home but they were super cool about us leaving the bike there and coming back for later that afternoon. All in all, I had a stellar experience here. For someone who hadn’t been on a bike in ages, it was a very comfortable process. I asked questions, laughed and got some good tips. In fact, the experience was so good that my boyfriend says that when he needs to get a new bike he’s going to Roll first. Whether novice or expert, this is a great place to start.

Roll is my FAVORITE place around! Their bikes are fantastic and the staff is always really very helpful. I am old fashioned and love a good beach cruiser… which is where you can find the best ones around. Hang out there sometime, you’ll be glad you did.

Great shop in every way. I’ve been a cyclist for 40 years, and a Roll customer for a few years. I have been consistently impressed with the products, service, and business practices(at all their locations), but something that happened yesterday motivated me to write this review. We lost power at our house on Tuesday night, which I mentioned on my Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon. Within 10 minutes, a manager had contacted me to offer to open HISHOME to my wife and me if we needed someplace warm to eat, take a shower or do laundry, and reminded me that we were welcome to use the shower facilities at any of the stores. This level of «customer care» brings a whole new meaning to the phrase«full service bike shop». We are truly fortunate to have such businesses here in Columbus; Roll, you’re the best! :-)

Brimming with designer bikes and accessories, roll: is a super-cool store that’s perfect for hip young professionals. This is high-end stuff, so be prepared to spend. However, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to field questions. It makes for customer service that just isn’t available at stores where cheaper bikes are available. Moreover, the bikes are rad looking and quality! The store also offers classes on bike repair so you can do basic upkeep like fixing flats and such — neat-o. There might be some cool bike shops on the High Street corridor, but this is the only place like this out in the ‘burbs that I know of.

My dad gave me his ’79 Schwinn Traveler a few years ago. He kept it up so it didn’t really need much maintenance when he handed it over. At the beginning of the summer though, I realized I needed new shoes and new inner-tubes for the bike. Now, don’t get me wrong– I understand there are plenty of small Green Peace-ish bike shops littering the Columbus area, but I wanted my equipment pretty quick and I didn’t want to go far. Think… bike shop for the Starbucks crowd. Decent service, a variety of products and sure, a lot of the stuff comes with a hefty price tag but that’s because they’re geared(ha ha) towards all sorts of cyclers. But on average, pricing is actually quite fair. Name brand jerseys, water bottles, bikes, everything you could think of. They also have a garage in the back where they fix/modify bikes. They’ll even put your inner tubes in for you so you can, as they say, «roll out of the store». if you’re just starting out they can help you. If you’re doing tours around the world, they can help you and if you’re somewhere in between – they can help you too. I should also say they have employees who have a specialty. There’s the road guy, the off-road guy etc. Returns were basically painless. I got the wrong size tire and had already taken tags off and gotten the gum part(where it tan and not black) all oily and they took it back no problem.
