My fiancé and I are well versed in the area of shoving our faces. This place is outstanding. The food is top notch and the prices are more than reasonable. The people who own this place aren’t in it for the money, and that’s apparent from the moment you walk in. In my fiancés words«oh my gosh, this is so good, it offers something different in every bite» while eating her Chicken Shawarma and I had the Gyro! EATHERENOW!

Has been reported by the owner that they are officially closed for business as of 5÷29÷16 in wake of the tragedy of events that took place a few months back and lack of support received by the local Government and insurance company. Wishing the family the best with their future endeavors.

This was our first visit. I would highly recommend! Service was outstanding. I got the spicy chicken and rice. It was amazing! Just the right amount of spice and the chicken was so tender. I would recommend checking this place out!

Beautiful people, amazing Middle-Eastern staple cuisine, located in beautiful Gahanna. The spicy chicken is a MUST. I always get the Greek salad with the spicy chicken. Falafel and hummus are a must in addition to your meal here; don’t forget the rice pudding!

What an awesome place to have authentic Mediterranean food! Plenty of seating available and can eat in or take out. Great salads, i had half salad with home made lemon dressing and it was so tasteful. I also ordered the lemon chicken soup, so yummy and flavorful! For main entrees they have option to have half size for less cost or dinner portion. i ordered half portion of spicy chicken and boy oh boy, spicy and definitely lip smackin good. If ya like spicy, check it out. you won’t be disappointed! And, their hand cut fries… goodness gracious! You can also order a half portion of those as well. All this food i ordered and bill was only $ 20 and had plenty of leftovers for lunch next day. Love this place. Excited to return and try something new!

Pros: Price is dirt cheap Service is fast and friendly Portion size is large Cons: The food was bland. Probably one of the worst gyros I’ve ever eaten — it was mostly lettuce drowned in some form of bland mayo sauce, raw onions and some chicken at the bottom. There was just not much flavor.

Nazareth has some of the best greek food in Columbus. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. The Greek salad is great, and the french fries are crispy and perfect. Also the blacklava is awesome, perfection really. I don’t think they make it in house, but I don’t really care as long it tastes as good as it does. The only thing stopping me from giving a five star rating is the service, it was not the greatest, they should probably hire more people for their busier times.

Common man from 97.1 the fan brought me here. Wasnt disappointed. I went with the mega gyro and man that hit the spot. It was the perfect combination of succulent lamb meat and spicy peppers. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Dined there a few days after it reopened. Loved the hummus and chicken shwarma, but the hand cut fries were the best! Oh yeah the Greek salad was delicious. Service was a little slow but very friendly. We love you man! Welcome back!

Hani is back and the food is still great. The portions are generous and the prices are beyond resonable. The restaurant has doubled in size, so the waiting will be minimal. I implore everyone to come to the Nazareth and show your support to one great AMERICAN.

My favorite gyro place for the last six years. The hummus and lamb meat are amazing. Don’t forget to try the chocolate balls covered in coconut. The people are always very nice and service is always fast. Plus they always remember whatever you customize. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

Every time I eat at Nazareth, I am treated to excellent food and friendly service. I generally switch between the gyro and the schwarma — can’t go wrong with either. Large portions of fries too! They don’t sell alcohol, but I have been told that they DO allow you to bring your own in, so feel free to stop by Crafted Drafts next door to pick up a six pack before dining.

This place has great food! Huge portions of fries and the best Gyro’s! This is the go to place for Greek. I often get their Hummus which is also delicious. I always eat there but I see a lot of people get take out. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot.

I have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks after my son introduced me to Nazareth. I’m addicted. The spicy chicken over lentils and rice is amazing. I love the hummus, gyros, chocolate balls and the baklava is to die for. Prices are extremely reasonable and the staff always friendly and helpful.

Very good! I have wanted to try for awhile and am glad we made it in. The hummus was great, French fries were crispy and well seasoned, salad was huge, and spicy chicken shawarma was delicious. Prices are very reasonable and service was good. It’s nice to see a small business succeed in this area.

Based on the other reviews, I was disappointed at this spot. My salad was just okay – nothing I’d go back for with a craving. I ordered the falafel which was interesting. That’s the best way to describe it: the seasoning was off, peppery almost, and it left an odd taste in my mouth that disputed my meal since I felt a little strange after the ptolonged taste. Furthermore, cleanliness is really important to me. When I went in, there was something sticky on the floor right at the front door. Sorry, but pass.

This place is so amazing. The food and service are always top notch. The lentils and rice bowl with spicy chicken is to die for. The half order is more than enough food and the ranch-y yogurt sauce is out of this world. I tried to make it at home and it was just not the same. Definitely five stars. The owner is a bit over the top, he visits tables with his baseball bat(don’t understand the significance of that but it’s his schtick).

My husband and I went there on a Sunday because our favorite Greek place, Mykonos Taverna, wasn’t open on Sunday’s. The food was disappointing at best. Unlike Mykonos, The feta and olive appetizer was very small, the olives weren’t pitted and the iceberg lettuce tasted way way too icebergy, like it had chemicals on it or something. The house dressing was nowhere near as good as at Mykonos and tzatziki sauce literally isn’t on the menu. How is that even possible. My husband’s gyro was edible but nowhere near as good as at Mykonos. If you’re hungry for Nazareth, go to Mykonos instead. You won’t regret it and you’ll never go back to Nazareth.

Really enjoyed this jewel of a spot. The service was casual but friendly. Had been stopping in for the delicious chocolate ball desserts when shopping at their neighbor, Crafted Drafts.(Another review and fine establishment) Finally had time to dine in and it was worth it. My falafel was fresh and tasty. There are many«build your own» options with ingredients and combination sizes depending on your appetite. The price was right too. The hummus was fresh and savory, fries were fresh potatoes(yes, fries) with Middle Eastern spices. I prefer a thicker and more strongly spiced house dressing, but it was tasty, just thin. Not a fan of kids in restsurants, but alas, that cannot be helped in many cases. Will return soon.

I had the spicy chicken euro w hummus and a Greek salad. The pita bread was super thick and stale. The hummus was pretty good. The salad had way to much feta and I wouldn’t call shredded iceberg lettuce a real salad… The chicken in the euro was try and didn’t have much flavor and overall the meal was very disappointing.

I first came to ll before we actually moved here in 1998 when he was located on 161. The reason i keep coming is the food is great, the portions are huge and the prices are more than fair. f

It has been a long time since I found good Greek food in the area. I am so happy i tried this place. Chicken shwarma has been my favorite since I was a kid and this place came through. The portions are big, neither of us finished all our lunch. The fries are great. Also seems silly to note as this should be the norm, but the food came out hot which is appreciated. Only negative the seats and booths have seen serious wear. It makes the place a little dirty feeling.

I’ve been here a few times before writing this review. I wanted to try more than one dish before sitting at my keyboard and judging. I’ve had the spicy chicken shwarma, falafel sandwich, olive/feta appetizer, greek salad, and tabbouleh salad. Out of all of that, the weakest link is the tabbouleh salad. It was a parsley salad… not a tabbouleh salad. Everything else was pretty awesome though. The service pretty good on the whole. It’s worth a drive to the east side, crazy Hamilton Road corridor for a visit. Oh! Try the baklava! It is some of the best I have ever had.

Dropped by here for a late lunch after my 1st choice was closed on Mondays and I’m kinda glad they were. Nazareth has been on my «to try» radar for long time even before they moved from the Columbus Square area to this nice new location. Warmly greeted and quickly seated I perused their menu but really had my mind set for Shawarma. Placed my order for a combo meal and it was quickly delivered to my table for the Nom-ing session. The Chicken Shawarma sammich consisted of a big flavourful chunks of tender well seasoned grilled chicken on a fresh warm pita then topped with fresh onions, lettuce, tomatoes and hot banana peppers and their«famous» house dressing. Paired up with a generous serving of their hand cut fries it all fit the bill on price, service and big flavor. Friendly service, tasty eats and a comfortable, inviting place to enjoy it in. Yeah, I’ll definitely be back to try the Spicy Chicken everyone raves about next time I’m here and there will be a next time indeed…

I’ve been coming to this place for a long time now, probably at least 10 years. It’s now in it’s third location that I’m aware of. I think this is a very nice place, given the last location was too large and the previous to that was a good size, but in an area with lots of vacancy’s. But to the food, you want some good Medt food, this is quick and simply good. Nothing too extravagant or complex and the food tastes really good. I’ve noticed it’s not as much family ran as it used to be, but that’s okay, the service is still friendly and attentive.

Best Mediterranean food around. The service to the food is excellent. The place is small and gets crowded but you can certainly get take out. My usual is the Greek salad and I top with spicy chicken. They have two sizes, personal and dinner. The personal size was perfect for dinner so I can’t imagine how much food a dinner size serves. I have never ordered something I didn’t like. This place is good for vegetarians. Plenty of variety.

Wow first time to the new location as it has moved quite a bit away from me. However I decided I needed me a Nazareth fix so we ventured to Hamilton Road. First of all I was in shock with the downsize and no bar. No big deal but all the same big change. What was not a change was the awesome Rachel gyro and French fries. Yummy! The quality is still there and my other half and I were pleased. We also ventured out and got a sample of the spicy chicken and rice and yes yes yes its as good as all the reviews claim. Heck we are now going to go back to get that as our order. I did miss seeing the owner with his baseball bat but I guess he’s not around as much since this new place is so dinky. We will be back sooner than later!!!

I had a pretty good meal at Nazareth the other day. It has your pretty standard Mediterranean fair, and I’m assuming it competes with Mezze, which is basically across the street. This place is a bit different than many Mediterranean spots though in that it has only take out or full service dine-in. Don’t expect to order at a counter and bring it to a table once it’s done. I opted to get a table, and the girl that waited on me was very nice, and the service was quick which was good, because I was on a lunch break. Since this was my first time here, I went with a standard beef and lamb gyro with fries and an order of falafel. The falafel came out first, and it was awesome. I would rank it up there with some of the best falafel I’ve had in Columbus. The gyro and fries came out next, and they were pretty tasty as well. The gyro was a bit dry, and it definitely could have used a bit more of their house sauce, but it was still tasty nonetheless. The fries were hand-cut and fried perfectly. They went a little heavy on the salt on some parts, but I covered that up with some vinegar and ketchup, and I really enjoyed them. If you go here with a friend, you really only need to get one order of fries to split, because they give you A LOT, and the gyro itself was pretty filling as it was. This place stacks up as another option for me, but with Mezze across the street, I may not be coming back here as often, especially since they don’t have the counter-ordering option.

I have never been here before but I made an order here today for my family because we were celebrating my dad’s birthday. They didn’t quite get everything I asked for. Good part about trying a new restaurant is that you find out what people like now. I found out after eating here my brother is deciding to become a vegetarian. He told me a bunch of reasons why he’s decided to do this and I completely support his decision. So when we got there we had to wait a little bit because they were just finishing to cook everything. Although I was told the meal that I wanted, the vegetarian meal they ran out of. I said ok, so just give me a gyro instead and this is where my order gets messed up. When I said give me a gyro, I get another gyro instead of the chicken shawarma I asked for. At the end we had too much pita bread leftover and I’m not even sure if the kids ate all their meals. I heard one of the vegetarian dishes actually had something funky inside that didn’t taste right. In all, not sure if I would come here more often. It’s not something I’m too crazy about.
