Another great meal at Jimmy V’s, had the french onion burger, cooked to a perfect medium as requested. Also had the lemon potato wedges, again cooked perfectly. I’m not a huge fan of lemon anything, but these potatoes are a favorite. The penne pesto has great flavor, is s huge portion and has a TON of garlic, as it should We were served by a brand new and very nice waitress, she did very well. Looking forward to our next visit, and to their new menu, I hope that the fried smelts are still on it! They were on our table tonight, but not for long, they were quickly and eagerly devoured.

I was so grossed out tonight while at dinner. Where we sat you can see right into the kitchen and I had to sit there and watch them peel veggies over the trash can with their bare hands, toss the fires with salt with their bare hands and then to top it off the lady used her bare fingers to get the ice cream off the spoon and into the bowl. Don’t ever go there, they aren’t clean.

Half of their items are farmed in from corporate, and while service staff is friendly and attentive, the mediocre food kills the entire experience. Just another milquetoast Columbus chain.

Enjoyed an evening out with friend who are gradually introducing us to their favorite spots around town. Nice pub and decent atmosphere. The food was good, but there were some misfires. Two of us ordered the salad with gyro meat and tatziki, but received the wrong salad. They corrected it immediately. Also one of the tap beers we ordered was flat. also corrected immediately. Our bill was reduced. So… they have three stars, but I want to give them another chance. When everything was corrected, dinner was good and we had a great time. We’ll be back.

Where’s the sauce Lazy day and wanted some lunch so placed a carryout order at Jimmy V’s. I had the bbq burger with sweet potato fries. The food was ready shortly after I reached the establishment and I headed home to eat it. The sweet potato fries were clearly overcooked, could tell visually before confirming with a few bites. The burger was a decent size but just looked thrown together. A heap of beef, cheese, and pulled pork. I took a bite and quickly noticed nothing juicy. I took the bun off and to my dismay there was no bbq sauce! It is a bbq burger, where is the sauce? I feel like this could have just been a mid day loss of focus(the place was almost empty), but flaws are flaws.

I would have given this a 5 really, but my ego will not allow me… That being said I used to go there several times a week for months. The specials are fun and affordable. The servers are so sweet and mostly capable. The Albanian sauces wings… Wow. That sauce is good on anything. It is also a fun place to start off a night of drinking. Worth a go.

Nice little bar. They have a pretty nice patio when the weather cooperates. Not a huge beer selection, but the 10 taps they do have are pretty solid options. The big selling point to me are their gyros and thick cut fries. Also, as of the time of this post, they have $ 3.50 Jameson at all times!

3.5 stars. Overall this is a really good place to go to eat or drink. I have never had a bad meal here… good for lunch and have some nice dinners as well. They generally have a decent beer selection and the prices are reasonable. Known for their greek dishes, but they do the sandwiches and pastas well too.

Prices are a little high but mostly fair, and seating inside can be tough on a busy night. I came by on a Friday night during the President’s Cup so I wasn’t expecting lightning-fast service; however, I sat outside and it took about 10 minutes to get someone to bring me a menu or water. The food was good though, I had a Greek dip trio on the app menu and it was tasty. Brunch the next day was nothing special, pancakes, eggs and bacon but it was good and a decent price. Good, friendly service and the atmosphere is interesting, it’s like an Irish pub, a German beer garden and a Greek restaurant mixed in with a sports bar.

No Columbus Crew games on TV’s when OSU play at the same time. «No chance» Should take that crew shirt off the wall and put a red shirt up! Patrons did not wear red, that’s why I asked.

This is one of our favorite places to go because their food is consistently good and they are very reasonably priced. The wait staff is attentive and the bar staff is always a hit. We’ve never had to wait for a seat but have not always been able to get outside seating. They have a good selection of beer on tap and their drinks are generously poured. They always have a homemade daily soup and their daily special is a really good deal. We have liked everything that we have ordered there. In particular, my boyfriend claims that their burgers rank in the top 5 on his«list» which covers all of Ohio. We’ve both enjoyed their chicken and regular gyros. He loves the Southwest Chicken sandwich(I think that’s what it’s called) and I love their Italian Panini.

The food is great — try the sweet potato fries and a panini. What keeps them from five stars is slow(and sometimes uncomfortable) service. Their bar service is good but the waitresses can be testy. Great live music on occasion

Lucky to have great summer weather for my first visit to Jimmy Vs. A table outside in the patio area was available so we grabbed it. This hidden gem of a patio should be a stop for every neighbor in the area, at least during fair weather times. The large copper sheet-metal waterfull produces that perfect sound backdrop encouraging conversation. The food. Well, I had the wilted spinach salad tossed in a light dressing with goat cheese. Hey now! The salad was terrific. My friends had a gyro and also burgers. The wait time was minimal for service and not a drop of food was left on the plates. In fact, conversation dropped off while we ate and no mention of poor or mediocre quality came up. Friends had some kind of «summer ale» on tap and that, too, was a hit. Funny, about the weather, but at meal’s end there was a brief drizzle beginning so we moved inside(my first visit) to pay our bills — separate checks(and our server got them all correct). Jimmy Vs was smallish but offered some big booths and a nice smallish sized bar. Other Unilocal’rs mentioned a separate dining room area but I missed seeing it. The place appears to be a great little neighborhood pub and restaurant that I will hit up again… and I would see more of it if I lived in the immediate neighborhood. Jimmy Vs is A-OK with me.

Jimmy V’s is a pretty good spot to go for dinner, grab a beer and salad or sandwich, maybe watch whatever game happens to be on. The bar area is pretty cozy with big booths or there’s a separate dining area(which I have never sat in). It’s never very busy but there are always people there, which I like. Parking is okay, there’s a tiny lot out back that will fit maybe 6 cars, but the surrounding streets are usually pretty open. The food is actually really good for a neighborhood bar. The menu takes a greek/mediterranean lens(think gyros, Avgolemeno soup, flaming cheese, etc.), but also offers some more Americanized fare like Paninis, Phillys and Burgers. All sandwiches come with chips or you can sub fresh-cut fries for around $ 2.50, a little high for a side in my opinion, but good nonetheless. The salads are pretty good — I like their greek salad with gyro meat and tzatziki as dressing(around $ 10). Happy hour runs until 7 I think, where all cold apps(hummus, spicy feta dip, tzatziki) are half off. BEWARE though, they will charge you for extra pita(and you will need more with the dips). It’s only like $ 1.25 or something, but still… c’mon, kinda lame. The bar has your typical offerings, as well as some rotating craft beers. They always have a beer of the month, which is usually a decent bottle for $ 2.50. Wine is also very reasonable here, their cheapest offering being $ 5 a glass. I come here somewhat frequently — the food is consistently good and a bit better than other area offerings. And they have a great patio out back for warmer months!

The beer list is nothing special and the atmosphere isn’t exactly charming – it feels like your grandma’s house if your grandma is a nouveau-riche Greek woman, which my grandma is not. Waterfalls and oversized clocks are just weird. However, the southwest chicken panini and fries are frickin’ delicious and I’m pretty hooked on them(you can get them at Michael’s Goody Boy as well if you want the same menu with a bit nicer atmosphere). Plus, my wife is a Browns fan and Jimmy V’s always shows the Browns games, so in a pinch, it’s a good place to have lunch on Sundays.

I love Jimmy V’s. I go here at least once a week. I’m obsessed with their traditional gyro, but I’ve tried some of the other dishes. All are great. They tzatziki is incredible. It’s so garlic-y but that’s what I love. The have good specials and they change frequently — so that’s nice. I’ve also been here for brunch, and it was surprisingly good. I love it, I love it, I love it.

I see you. I recognize you. I ignore you. I’m so sorry Jimmy V’s, I was so blind. I first remembered you when a friend and I wanted to try something different for lunch, maybe point and laugh at the spring game, and do a little day drinking. I suggested you and she agreed. We parked outside your rear-end(I realize this point of view is starting to get a little dirty but I’ve committed and am sticking to it) and gazed longingly at your patio wishing the weather was not complete bull crap. We seated ourselves snugly in one of your booths and found you had cheap drinks in the middle of a Saturday. And frosted glasses? And what’s this? Your menu isn’t the usual dribble of pub food and half heated nachos that feel like you’re chewing on a moist paper towel? Color me impressed. I ordered the caprese panini. My friend the veggie gyro. Shoving your food into our mouths was I must say, one of the more enjoyable events of our rain soaked afternoon. I plan to re-enter you again and again until I grow tired of you. Then perhaps a few years down the road we will perchance meet while I am walking and you will again coax me in with your chilled beverages, fair prices, and good draft selection.

I was really suprised how much I enjoyed the food here. The service is extreamly slow, the servers all pretty scatterbrained. My husband and I were about to get up and leave and just knock it as a bad experience but since it was already after 1pm we were more than ready for lunch and didn’t feel like looking for something else to eat. We were sure they would get our order wrong or it would taste like crap. Haveing lived in Europe we were sure to not find a good or even descent gyros sandwhich and while it was not authentic, it was the best we have had here to date! We got 2 traditional gyros and just to be safe my husband had ordered a burger. We were told they are out of hamburger meat(very strange) so he got the philly instead. That turned out to not be nessassary since the gyros was very good, as well as the chips it came with. I loved the tzatziki, fresh and garlicky, maybe not the best idea for a date or like me for lunch where you have seriously kicking breath the rest of the day! In all we will be back, just maybe not to this location since its pretty run down and more bar like on the inside, next time I think we’ll give the one in westerville or downtown a try.

Ah yes, the Grandview Jimmy V’s. I’ve driven past numerous times since I reside in Grandview myself but finally was able to pop in for a bite to eat this week. If you’ve been to the other locations, this one is pretty similar. Sports bar theme, Greekish foods on the menu along with many bar food favorites, and wooden booths surrounding the bar. There is a semi-separated dining room though — with a beautiful waterfall — so if you’re not keen on dining in the bar, you have some options. Their menu has more options than your standard sports bar and some of the more popular dishes are starred for emphasis. One of them was the Greek salad. Iceberg lettuce, a few veggies, Greek dressing served with a big fat side of «meh.» It was OK. The veggie platter was huge and loaded with tahini, cucumbers, pita bread, hummus and olives. While I don’t think it was worth the $ 10 price tag(c’mon, it’s loaded with cucumbers, hummus and pita bread), it was satisfying and totally shareable. I think this place is best summed up as a sports bar with decent food. A great neighborhood pub when you want to change it up sometimes.

Really nice service(Madison) and good cheap eats. The burger was obviously fresh and hand packed. Nice chicken panini too. Place smelled like dirty mop water though.
