I adore jjill clothes. I also understand that a new store in this economy has to push to succeed. However, I felt oversold here. No one would leave me alone and while the manager was very helpful when i was in the dressing room I did feel I had clothing forced on me there. New Yorkers know what they want and will ask for help if they need it. I recommend the jjill salespeople keep wearing the clothes so people can see how they look but back off on hard sells, pushing the credit cards and being fakely, overly concerned. This is not the ‘burbs so turn down the noise and let us shop!

I love this store and the clothes. But was so disappointed with the service. The store manager was at a desk chatting on the phone and after rudely being greeted, the associate never assisted me again. I use to work for this company. Either their expectations have changed, or no one working here cares. I’ll be shopping online from now on.

I really like the clothes here and bought some but at check out the pressure to get a credit card and mailing list and catalog was intense. They double teamed me. I just kept saying no but it will be a good long time before I go there again. Just killed my buzz after finding cute pants I thought chicos was bad at this. But these two were just awful. I haven’t said no that much since freshman year on a blind date
