Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus – Polaris Parkway

This is an excellent HIE with most, if not all of the renovations happening at HIE hotels. Very clean, friendly staff, and easy in/​out service.
There are a few places to eat within walking distance but you’ll probably want to drive to get to the better options. There are plenty of places to park, and this is a very convenient location to get around Columbus, OH.
The breakfast area is large, with plenty of seating. I wish the business center was larger and a bit more robust, but it’s adequate.
Platinum members typically always get upgraded to larger rooms, sometimes with additional amenities.
Highly recommended!

I loved this hotel, The room was nice, the pool was nice, they offer free breakfast, but the problem was out hair dryer it was broken and it reeked of smoke we called 3 times for a new one and they never gave us a new one, and at bed time at 11 PM there was a LOUD 30 minute car siren going off, If I were you stay here because it was right by I-​71 and there is a McDonald’s nearby. We stayed in room 301

Nana & Papaw (my husband & I) wanted to spend time with our grandkids overnight at a hotel with an indoor pool. We checked out Ft Rapids online but were turned off by their prices and poor customer reviews. I tried another search which took me to this hotel. The first thing I did was check out pics of the pool. Hmmm. Looks like a mini water park! Then I looked at room prices. Very reasonable. And free breakfast and wifi. The room pics looked better than average. So we booked 2 rooms. I asked for adjoining rooms and was informed that none existed but was assured that our rooms would be side by side.
We arrived at 7p. The lobby was bright and clean. When the agent got off the phone she attended to the business of getting us checked in… without smiling or greeting us :-(She also let me know that the rooms were only a few doors from each other. After a needless long justification of why my request for rooms side by side could not be promised or met, she handed me keys to two rooms that were next to each other???
The rooms were even nicer than the pics. Beds with soft support, lots of fluffy pillows, clean, silky sheets. Bathroom bright and clean with adequate towels and washcloths. The TV was HUGE and worked flawlessly. I made two requests of the front desk and they were met promptly.
The pool area was a big hit with the kids!!! Even though the big slide was closed it was a blast. There’s mushroom waterfall, hanging buckets that fill, tip and dump on screaming children below. Fountains that shoot water across a mini lazy river. There is also a pool for adults and bigger kids Nd a hot tub. We were able to find chairs to sit in even though it was crowded.
The breakfast buffet was awesome. Plenty of choices both hot & cold which were constantly replenished.
We will DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to our family and friends and look forward to making this trip again soon.

Love the pool area. Rooms are very clean, close to lots of great restaurants. Friendly staff. Kids had a fantastic time.

Made use of this hotel for a large family gathering. Service was very friendly, even as our large group laid claim to a lot of space. Rooms were quite nice. Pool and water features were superb for young kids. Breakfast buffet was good enough to avoid paying for breakfast elsewhere.
Only negatives: rooms near elevators were very noisy and therefore unpleasant. Chlorine level in the pool area made sitting poolside quite uncomfortable.

I just attended a 5 day business seminar at this location. Staff was friendly, conference room was huge with a break out patio area, breakfast was delicious and their indoor pool area is second to none.
Next winter I might take my two kids there for a local overnight since their pool area is like a waterpark for toddlers.

We have stayed at a few hotels in this area this by far was the best. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room was amazingly clean and the décor was like a modern Vegas style. Really clean and my kids loved the pool. It is close as in across the street from the Polaris mall and literally mins from tons of restaurants. We will def be staying here again.

Wow, what a great hotel. If you are staying in the Columbus area and have kids, this place is great. One if the best pools for kids I have seen at a hotel. Very clean and staff was also very friendly. For a typical free hotel breakfast it was also pretty good, and hey they even have pancake making machines! :)

Could not of asked for better service from this hotel and their staff. We booked many rooms this past weekend for a wedding and the staff was so accommodating. I stay in Holiday Inn’s weekly and I was by far the most impressed with this hotel. Thanks to the great staff!

As the previous reviewer mentioned, this décor is what you would expect in a night club or in Vegas. This newer hotel has a very contemporary feel with lots of black, white, and purple. However, it is very clean and the service was very good.
The room had a king-​sized bed, a corner sofa (which I wasn’t about to sit on – it was stained from some «adult» activities), a nice large LG TV, ports to plug in your HDMI cable, and other types of electronics, a mini-​fridge, and a microwave. The mini-​fridge and microwave were no name brands and the microwave was old school style – it had dials instead of a digital pushpad screen.
The bathroom was large and clean. It had a spacious glass shower that had a very tall, rainfall-​like shower head.
You could hear some noise from the road but nothing distracting. All in all, it was a comfortable, quiet place to stay and was in a great location. There were plenty of places around to get food and anything else you might need.
