I think Harrison’s is overall a fairly nice bar. It’s bathrooms are pretty clean. The bartenders mostly are friendly but a few of the females are snooty. It’s food is not all that bad. They have some good vegetarian options like tacos. The crowd can vary in degrees of douchebaggery. On this particular night it was mostly bros and their hos. There were few unattached ladies this night. Pool tables always draw a crowd. They also have fun basketball game to play. I would consider coming back if invited again. Probably wait until ladies night. Will be a lot better options.

I started going to Harrison’s with friends a couple months ago when I moved to Columbus. My friends had been their previously and raved about the $.25 wings on Monday nights. My first visit was great! Cheap wings that actually tasted good, a decent beer selection, plenty of seating and multiple tv’s for watching games. However, on my second visit we were informed that they had instituted a 2-drink rule if you were eating the wing night special. You could order just a pop if you didn’t want a beer, but for someone like myself who doesn’t drink pop and isn’t a beer fan, it was pretty inconvenient. The wings were still the cheapest so it kind of made it okay. I went to wing night again just last night and I must say, I was extremely disappointed. There were 4 of us and we got our food and drinks pretty quickly, but when 2 of us ordered our second round of drinks, it took 20 minutes to get one of them and I actually never received my second drink. The other 2 of us never even got to order their second drinks, yet all 3 of us got charged for them because of the 2-drink rule. After finally getting ¼ drinks, we waited another 20 minutes before a server came back and we asked for our checks. She didn’t bring them to us and about 10 minutes later a bartender, who was serving other tables, walked by and asked if we were okay, and we again said we were just waiting on our checks. Another 10 minutes later, we finally got our checks, and when I pointed out that we never even got our second drinks, she only offered to put them in a to-go cup, which for a beer wouldn’t even be possible. Not sure if I’ll go to Harrison’s for quite a while, or at all. Might try to find another wing night spot.

This is another good neighborhood bar. The food is actually really good, and they have great week day specials. The staff tends to be friendly and the patrons are a younger croud. They might have a ventilation issue, because every once in a while the smells from the kitchen are overbearing(not very often). Unfortunately if you go there on Sundays during football season, the place is mostly filled with Browns fans. Over all a good place that is highly recommended.

The weather was fantastic, so the patio seating was a plus. Besides, when I went in to use the restrooms, the bar and pool tables took up room and the dimmer lighting wasn’t as inviting as the warm, bright sun. Friends and I were looking for good Happy Hour deals, and Unilocal showed this place. It was Build Your Own $ 1 Taco night. I started with two chicken tacos. Added mushrooms, guacamole and sour cream. The chicken was better than a lot of fast-casual Mexican places I’ve tried. Pulled, not cubed. Gave better flavor and not as dry. The guacamole was not my fav, but nothing to spit out. It was too«creamy»; and I love chunky, the more colorful chunks, the better. Our waitress, Brooklyn(spelling?), was polite, checked in at all the right times, not overbearing. All the checks were divided evenly.

Harrison’s on Third is another one of my regular neighborhood bars right in the middle of Victorian Village. Between it, Zeno’s, and Viking, they form my trifecta of early and late night bars. Of the three, Harrison’s is usually the busiest and most happening and probably the nicest looking as well. The bartenders are usually pretty nice, and the place offers up specials every night like $ 1 tacos or $.25 wings. I was there this past Thursday when they had $ 4 specialty drinks, including their martinis and Moscow mules. It’s easy to throw a lot of those back. They also have half priced appetizers all night on Thursdays, another plus. The wings here are pretty tasty(I had whatever the hottest wings are, and they aren’t very hot), but the nachos left a lot to be desired. If you don’t like liquid cheese(«queso») on your nachos, then I wouldn’t recommend it. My friend says the hummus is pretty good, but I’m not usually one to order hummus at the bars. I’ve also been told the tacos aren’t anything special. Most of the stuff you’ll find here is your average bar food, but you’ll most likely be drinking, so everything will taste a little better. The crowd here is mostly people in their mid 20s and early 30s, but that’s just the makeup of the neighborhood for the most part. Anyone passing through should definitely stop by and have a drink. They have a small but nice patio that overlooks the brick lined street of 3rd Avenue. I can’t comment on the service, but the servers looked like they were running everywhere when I was there, so that’s good. You can also play pool or pop-a-shot here as well. The later in the night it gets on the weekends, the rowdier, so if you’re expecting this to be different than downtown, that’s not always the case. Overall, I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to check this place out, but since I live here, and if my friends are here, I definitely don’t mind grabbing a drink.

This is a great place to come, get a bite to eat, watch a game, and stay a while. They have a lot to do here if you’re not into just sitting and drinking like pool and pop-a-shot. There is a nice big bar for when it gets packed with the mid 20 crowd. Nothing too bad I can say. Pretty standard bar with a good location for those who want to stay off campus.

This place has everything going for it, except the smell. The bar itself smells like a bathroom; however, the bathrooms smell fine, so one has to wonder where the smell comes from – and when your eating there, your thoughts go immediately to the kitchen and you lose your appetite quickly. It is seriously terrible. If they fixed that, I could definitely be a regular.

Ive been to Harrison’s at Third a good number of times, so i figured id take some time and give them a few of the praises they deserve. I mostly like to go here with my lady after long days at the office for some good food and a great selection of craft drafts. Pretty decent happy hour prices here but the real winner is the food. Ive had most things on the menu… The H3 and buffalo burgers are both home runs. Very filling as well. And speaking of burgers, nothing goes better with burgers than fries, and their black pepper fries are super. Not to mention the house made garlic aoli that comes with them… Delish. The real winner here though are the chicken wings. Bone-in are the way to go here, they’re large, delicious and the sauces are all terrific. Great choice for an after-work meal/couple of drinks!

Friendly neighborhood bar. I went on a Wednesday night at it was pretty quiet. A good sized bar with plenty of tables and standing room. Low key atmosphere as opposed to bars in the Shorth North. The bartenders were friendly, drinks were relatively inexpensive. They have a pool table and basketball hoop game if that’s your thing. They also have a respectable selection of draft beer and I was excited to see Dale’s Pale Ale on draft. They also have this pineapple vodka concoction if you’re feeling brave. I did not get to try their food, but a friend’s quesadilla looked pretty average. Overall still an above average bar with friendly bartenders.

I like this place. The bartenders are great, the people watching is great, and even though Ohio state is losing, I’m ok with it.

Walked in and the floor is STICKY everywhere. It’s 6pm on a Tuesday, seriously? No good décor, this place reminds me of a college bar or similar to the bars on Park Street downtown. Draft list kinda sucks. Yes they have Great Lakes but not many microbreweries. Lastly, this place smelled like a bathroom. NOPE not coming back.

Not a fan. Ok, I probably wouldn’t have such a beef with Harrison’s if I weren’t getting so old. «Old Matt» isn’t a fan of the loud noise, lack of seating, and slow bartenders who seem bothered by you being there. What’s that sonny? Yes, it is seriously loud when there are more than 10 people in the bar at a time. It’s the walls, I swear. Yes, if you could please grab my walker, that would be great. Yes, your whole«I’m too cool to serve you right now» shtick isn’t for me anymore. *Sigh* When did I become such a curmudgeon? Oh yeah, the moment I walked into Harrison’s.

Sundays are great, low key environment and good service. Decent drink specials, love this place. Definitely be back as it’s a solid neighborhood bar, take time to meet the bartenders and service will be awesome everyday of the week. Marcus is the man, welcome him back and take time to hear his stories.

If you are OK with horrible service, mediocre food, and cheap food specials, then this place might be for you. I have been going to this place off and on since opening. I live in the neighborhood and enjoy that I can walk to the place. Unfortunately the service is at an all-time low and has been going downhill for months. The bartenders won’t even bother to do their job or hide their distaste for having to do it. I was there last night. There was a decent crowd and there seemed to have more than enough bartenders; they were standing around talking to each other and putting away clean glasses. When we walked up to the bar, we waited while four different bartenders walked by us doing everything but serving drinks. After about 5 minutes, we had to waive down a bartender and that only seemed to infuriate them. They would not even make eye contact, rolled their eyes up and acted like we were bothering them. Unfortunately for me, we were there for a group gathering for work, and we wanted to stay a little longer to socialize with the group. I went up for another drink, and the same thing happened again but this time with a different bartender. The good news was that I did not have to waive this one down, but I did have to wait while she talked to her friends and then served 2 people that walked up to the bar after me. Lucky me! Normally, I would have just walked out if not for the gang. My recommendation is to go to the bar down the street, the bartenders there are infinitely better even on their worst day. I won’t be back again.

I’ve only been here for their happy hour wings deal on Monday but it’s worth it and it’s awesome. They have 25cent wings that you can order in multiples of five, with an upper limit of 25 wings per person max(but who needs to eat more than 25 wings at a time? so it’s not a problem) and you can’t bring leftovers home. The wings are big and meaty, and it looks like they’re fried before dredging in sauce and served. They have a variety of flavors and I’ve been here often enough to try them all at this point, but my favorites are the Asian zing and the spicy garlic. I don’t think the other flavors are as good — the peppercorn ranch especially looks a little gross, but at $ 1.25 for five, I think you can afford to give them all a try to see for yourself what you like best. Also, their sides are great and also affordable! $ 2 for generous portions of sweet potato fries, tomato soup, among other options. And they also have great beer specials and the cocktail menu looks interesting. My friends come here on a regular basis, and I’d really like to give some of their other weekly deals a try(i.e. grilled cheese night) but at the same time it’s not healthy to dine here thaaat much.

I started coming to Harrison’s my senior year at Ohio State. Very much in the same way the pilgrims fled their homelands because of religious persecution, I fled campus to escape corporate price inflation… yeah I just related those things, read on. Why I didn’t just stick around and go to «B-Dubs» for $ 0.45 wing night was because I heard of a mystical place. A place where a man could sip on a cold $ 2.00 Yuengling and enjoy a plate piled high with meat, slathered in buckets upon buckets of tasty sauces… this mystical place I was told of, that place is Harrison’s on Third. Fast forward to a year and a half later and I’m still coming to Harrison’s on Monday nights for their amazing wing deal. The reason isn’t simply because of the price, although that has a lot to do with it. No, the reason is because the wings are actually really really good. The 5 – 6 sauce choices cover the essentials and the wings themselves are a good size. Couple that with the fact that Harrison’s has plenty of TV’s, TouchTunes, an assortment of bar games(pool, darts, pop-a-shot) and you have a great bar. The servers are also really cool, for a while I was drawing on napkins and leaving them with the bill… one day I was informed that they’ve been keeping the dumb drawings and have a small gallery of them in the back(undoubtedly stained with sauce) but how cool is that. A place that actually cares. Cheers to you Harrison’s.

I live one block way, been coming here for over a year(weekly) my friends would meet me here all the time since it was close to home, but this past Friday is the last day I ever visit this place, somehow they had hired a new bartender some blond girl with glasses. I always sit at the bar, I tried to order a drink with her and she completely ignored me, 15 min later I still can’t get her attention. She was talking to a guy which was sitting 2 bar stools way from me, she was doing 100% of the talking. Must be a friend of the new management so i got up and left. I have to say that I will miss the .25cent wings on Monday. I can spent my money at ZENOS and get better service.

When I first moved to Columbus, Harrison’s was my neighborhood bar. I’d pop in on off hours, recognize the bartenders, get great service on weekends, and since it is right down the street from my apartment, it was always a great starting bar or place to end the night. I’m afraid those days are long gone. Now there is new management, new bartenders, a new menu and definitely some new loud, rude, bro-ish clientele. Granted, when I first moved here I was fresh out of college, so maybe it’s just me getting older that makes this place just not fit anymore. My most recent visit here will hopefully be my last for awhile. Bf and I went to meet his brother for a quick dinner and a few drinks at about 8:30 on a Saturday. I was baffled as to how busy it was and we went on the hunt for a table. We found a table — with no chairs. Asking the neighboring tables(politely) who had stolen the chairs(which had no people in them) if we could have them back, they looked at us like we were asking them for an unthinkable favor. Annoyed, they gave us one. Spent a few minutes tracking down two more. Though we had been sitting for about 15 minutes, we never saw a server or were greeted in any way whatsoever. Unless you count the college girls in their heels and skirts who were mean-mugging me for being in jeans and boots. I was just grabbing a bite to eat! At Harrison’s! Give me a break! When bf’s brother arrived he asked if we could relocate since it smelled like puke. We did. When recounting our experience to friends the next day they said, «Oh man, you went there? Last time I was there it smelled like puke». Happy to inform you all it still does.

Neighborhood bar filled with younger crowd than down the street at Zeno’s. Went in to meet an old friend and found that it was difficult to talk with the jukebox being so loud. Music was not my style. Had an awesome little Hawaiian sandwich with some killer sweet potato fries though. Fries were a little on the cold side, but were good none-the-less.

For starters this place is HUGE! AND clean, with that off to a good start, not to mention nice and huge bathrooms and a oversized booth right when you get it. Perfect and with that we sat down. The happy hour menu on their website is no longer valid so no 99 cent sliders for us, strike one. We got only apps since they are all half price ffrom 4−8pm, which is a great later happy hour than most. Unfortunatly none were great, nothing completly disgusting and even knowing its just the standard bar food, there are a ton of much better places to get the same stuff for the same price. At half price everything was $ 4 each which is ok seeing we got alot of food for $ 20. Still not good and not worth going back to. Service is nice and the food comes out very fast. The sliders were like mini breakfast patties no real meat or quality here. The chicken sliders not real chicken, the only one who liked them was my 8 year old son. The nachos and quesadilla probably the worst thing we got that night. The boneless wings were ok, the chipotle bbq horrible. If you must go here stick to drinking, I’m sure its a great place for that, if you’re hungry I recommend going anywhere else.
