You should save your money it’s horrible. Not only did they give me cold soup, the sweet and sour shrimp I ordered tasted so bad I only could eat a few bites of it. And then, to add insult to injury I had asked her when I ordered, what exactly came in the sweet and sour shrimp as far as vegetables go? She answered carrots, onion, green pepper and pineapple. I told her that I only wanted the onion and pineapple in my order. Now, I finally looked at my receipt and I have been charged $ 1 extra for just onion and pineapple in my order. There were two tiny little pieces of pineapple and a few little square bits of onion included with my shrimp. When I asked her why she charged me a dollar extra, she said it was because they put extra pineapple in the order. She asked the cook how many pieces of pineapple he put in my order and the Cook said he put extra pineapple. I gave up then and said keep the dollar this is my first and last time you will ever see me in this place. What a racket! Oh yes, the shrimp were awful too!!!

Very poor customer service. When trying to order a delivery order Saphone did not listen well, interrupted, and said I was outside of the delivery zone without truly knowing where I was located. Before I could say I would order for pick up, I was hung up on. I then called back to speak to a manager and was told they were not in. I asked my number be written down and he or she contact me when they got in but I was told to call back. I finally got Saphone to take my number down and she says she will have management call me.

Pretty generic and frankly… boring. The new renovation is nice and it makes the place look a lot brighter and cleaner, but the food was really nothing special, and it reminded me of the Chinese you can grab from a food court at the mall. This place was hopping. There were a constant influx of take out orders coming through, so they definitely do some business on this side of town. The General Tso’s had me double taking… I think some of the chicken wasn’t completely cooked on the inside. I was seeing some pink in there. I hope it was just my eyes, though, or just terrible lighting. The House Lo Mein was… Ok, but heavily MSG’d and again, pretty generic. I was not a fan of the egg rolls here. They took on a sweet taste almost like a biscuit dough. It was just a little too strange for my liking. The upside is that the shrimp they use are large, where most places will only use pathetic looking salad shrimp in their dishes. The beef was also A-OK. I’d recommend if you’re ordering dishes to choose the beef, or Shrimp, then you can’t really go wrong. Would I come back? Maybe, but leaning towards. probably not with the other options in the area. This place is great for the cheap lunch go-ers, but Chinese food enthusiasts may want to just look elsewhere.

Totally adequate Chinese delivery. I had to call several times to get them to answer, I think something was up with the phone because half the time it didn’t ring at all, just disconnected. They got my food to me in less than the quoted delivery time, and for my husband and I to each get a meal with rice and egg rolls it was less than 20 bucks! It’s exactly what you would expect Chinese delivery to be. He got veggie fried rice and I got sesame chicken. The chicken was surprisingly great, white meat with no «weird parts.» Thank god for that. Will definitely be making this place a staple now that we’re living in the area. No 5 star food, but great for what it is and fast delivery.

More like 0 stars… their customer service is so bad, it belongs in a Saturday night live skit! Ordered sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoon, and egg drop soup. Egg drop soup was only half full, crab rangoon was cold, and boy let me tell you about the sweet and sour chicken. Burned and cold. Despite the picture depicting ample portions of vegetables… literally there was only 1 small green pepper sliver, 1 small pineapple sliver, and a few onions and carrots. Shortly after taking a bite I knew no one could eat this slop! Now here is the kicker… when I called to complain… the employee said that veggies were there just for color and it was industry to only have 1 green pepper. So then I asked about the burned chicken… he said he would remake it and drive it out but to make sure I did not eat any of it because he had to take it back. Well it gets worse!!! After 45 minutes and still no food… I called back. A lady spoke to me in broken english and told me they did not deliver that far to my house. she then hung up. I called back and then they said they tried to tried to knock on the door but no one answered. When I said I had a doorbell they then said they rang my doorbell and since I did not answer they would not be coming back out and hung up on me again. Believe me… I was starving and waiting by the door… so there is no way they came out… plus why would they just not call??? Called back a 3rd time and was told she was busy as she hung up again. I actually had to get in the car and drive to this dive to get my money back. There I was disparaged, in broken english, by their rude manager. When parting she told me to go eat across the street at the flea market where I belong. Don’t go here unless you like sub par food, skimpy portions, and staff so rude they appear cartoonish!

Average Chinese take out place. Food is good. Took close to an hour to deliver. Prices are good for the pocket and combos are the way to go for dinner. Ordering was easy to understand over the phone. If you want fortune cookies you must order them. This is the second place I’ve ever had to do this and I’m not sure if it’s a new thing or not, but make sure you order them.

This place remodeled, which I thought was good. The owner is very unfriendly & at times nasty. The last few times we went for pickup they have not put in the condiments we asked for. When I called all she said was«next time» and hung up on me. Decided to try again today. Ordered chicken and broccoli. There maybe were 4 –5 small pieces of chicken. We won’t be back.

I’ve been coming here for years for take out. The prices are reasonable, food is ready fast, portions are good and the prices are good. I wouldn’t say it’s the best chinese food I’ve ever had, but it’s consistently good. The garlic chicken, chicken w/broccoli, sesame chicken, chicken fried rice & egg rolls are really good! Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

I think in my own opinion, this place has the best lemon chicken I’ve ever ate. They have remodeled the inside to where it looks like less of a dump now which is good, but I’d wish when I order that they knew the English language just a tad bit more. When I say white rice and I get fried, that makes me mad. When I say no egg roll and me wife got an egg roll with 1 side of rice besides two! That’s not looking good on your service.

Food was ok, but customer service is awful. I tried calling in my order, and the phones weren’t working appropriately. Once I got there, the guy running the register just nods his head at me. No hello, no «How can I help you?» I proceed to pay with my boyfriend’s credit card in which he types in the number for and tells me it’s declined, which was impossible. Then I give him my own personal debit card in which he types the numbers again and says«That one is declined too.» Knowing this was impossible, I asked to have him try putting in the numbers again which he answered with, «it’s just not taking them, sorry.» Luckily I had one more card in which this one he swiped without manually typing in the numbers and it took right away. Really???

We order carryout from Golden Chopsticks about once every month or two. We have never had a bad experience! The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The service is always good, even if they have to rush you along a bit. They are busy folks! Don’t really care too much when it comes to take out as long as the food is good. The prices are great. We usually get the orange chicken, sesame beef, crab rangoon, dumplings or chicken lo mein(which is sooo good). They recently renovated the restaurant and it looks so much better! When my wife complimented the owner on the reno, they were so pleased and smiled from ear to ear. The Hilltop is on the upswing and restaurants are going to step it up. So far, we believe Golden Chopsticks is in it for the long run. Great take out and, now that they have renovated, a great place to dine in. Also, a stones throw from the casino so you can take the money you saved on dinner and do a little gambling :)

With all the chinese take out places dotted along West Broad alone, this place isn’t worth my time or dollar. I stopped here during late lunch hours one day and they were very busy when I went in to place my order. I was pleased with the price of lunch specials and figured I was in for a treat especially since they were busy(to me that usually means they are good) I left and looked at some shoes since they were busy and payless is right there. In about 15mins I returned expecting my food to be ready, but it was not. I stood in the dining area for a good 10 minutes more before some guy comes to the register to ask me what my order was and so I say lunch General Tso’s he said it would be a minute. After about 5 more minutes(at least 30 minutes and I was the only one left). The lady who took my order came up and said my order was ready and so I thought«hey they are a busy place, but at least it’s hot and fresh» No not so much, the eggroll tasted like it was sitting under a sun lamp for a while, you know it tasted like an old egg roll on the buffet which is not cool in a place like this, and then my General Tsos was not even hot, just barely warm. Now the egg roll for sure was made for massive sales and sitting somewhere keeping warm, but come on Golden Chopsticks seriously do you realize there are so many chinese places that serve you piping hot cooked to order food for the same prices. 0 stars for cleanliness as I had to used their bathroom and it was very nasty. I will not waste my time here nor should anyone else, there is a chinese place right across the street from them I will try them some day and see how they are till then I will make my way to Wongs on Eakin or Peking on Broad.

I have been to the actual location and it is a dump, but this time I ordered delivery. I ordered the Orange Chicken for $ 7.45 with a decent serving size of chicken and rice. The rice was not gummy; very fluffy. Most of the chicken was overcooked, but not so bad where it’s inedible. The orange sauce is pretty good, even if it is a little salty. Delivery is in a limited(westside) area; charge was $ 2.00 and took the driver 40 minutes. Tolerable, but not the greatest Chinese food you will have.

I’ve tried this place a couple of times, with disappointments on both occasions. It’s not that it’s crappy or too cheap, it’s more like it just doesn’t quite taste like Chinese. More like a Chinese/Mexican mix, which sounds good, but isn’t. Besides, there are so many awesome Mexican places around there, why bother?

I was not very impressed, but at least they have delivery. The food was hot and O.K. So I’ll be back, but only if my other spots aren’t available.

Place looks like a dump, but the food is good. They have very good lunch specials. You can get decent food for lunch for around $ 5. Not bad.

Good food and good prices. Lousy dining room, the Hilliard Rome store is much nicer.
