Words can not explain what this place does for the underserved mentally ill. In addition to advocacy this place has given the mentally ill a venue to show and sell works of art. 100% of sales go to the artist and the gallery takes no commission. To date the gallery has sold over $ 60,000 worth of art. They recently celebrated the 10 year anniversary and I donate work to be auctioned to help raise money for the galleries operation expenses. They have a framing budget and a gallery manager to make sure work is displayed professional. There are affluent collectors that believe in the gallery mission and purchase artwork regularly. I feel like as I’m writing this I can’t articulate just how necessary this place is for the targeted population and for the community at large. I urge you to stop on for a show on a random weekday and please give them your support. Help make the city, the country and the world a better, more beautiful place!
