We won’t be eating here again. We were searching for some good Mexican food and this is not it. The salsa tasted like tomato paste, lacked any flavor whatsoever. Our entrees were bland and just not good. We will continue our search for some tasty Mexican.

Typical Mexican fare. Nothing more, nothing less. good quest. Steak was a little chewy. Had good flavor. Prices were good and servings were plentiful. Attentive staff, really enjoyed our meal here.

Best Margarita’s ever! My friend came in from Atlanta and we decided to have a girl’s night and this is where we ended up! The wait staff was friendly to us, and the food was delicious! And oh… those Margarita’s!

Quality and quantity, two items most restaurants lack today but this Mexican cuisine had fresh cooked chips and home made salsa. The combination of enchilada, burrito, and taco was more than filling and the price was quite economical. Service has sometimes left me wanting a tea refill but altogether I am a returning customer.

Same as all the other texmex in columbus. one thing I do not like is they will make you walk all the way to the back dining room past dozens of empty tables just to make it even for the servers. what happened to making the customer happy. they don;t care

I grew up in Southern California, so I have been eternally disappointed by all Mexican-food restaurants in the South. El Carrizo is as close to good Mexican food in the area as one could get.

Best Mexican in Columbus(at least at the Columbus Park Crossing location, haven’t been to the Macon Rd one). This place isn’t authentic Mexican, but then again, you can’t really get that in this town. Still, the chips are great and the salsa is fresh. The prices are very good and the portions are substantial. The lunch menu is a real value and the place is also kid friendly.

Was in town for business and was in the mood for Mexican. I should have searched a little better but this was close and thought I’d give it a try. I wanted to stick with authentic Mexican dishes and the overall selection was more americanized Mexican, not a bad thing just not what I enjoy. So I ordered the Carnitas, not sure if it was a bad decision or just bad but they were dried out. I had a few bites and stopped eating them. I should have sent them back but did not. They may have other things that are good but I would not get the carnitas. The atmosphere was good.

If you expect real Mexican food, steer clear. This is pretty standard Americanized mexican. Tacos were greasy and heavy, the shrimp were overcooked, and the cilantro was very weak. Service was a little slow too. Fried ice cream was terrible.

By far the best Mexican restaurant in town. Inexpensive and the food is fantastic. Right now the place is closed because they are opening a new store but when it opens I’ll still highly recommend it

Best cheese dip I’ve ever had. Biggest glasses of tea I’ve ever had. Super-packed on Sunday… but everyone comes in their Sunday best, so it is extra fun. Oh, and extra cheap too. :)

This place is great and has the best chips in town! For a group of 2 to 4 order a ½ cheese dip for a tasty treat. The restraunt is very large too so there is pleny of room for everyone. Loud and boisterous kids as well as adults are welcomed here. Lunch specials daily until 2:30pm. Wednesday night is usually very busy with«margarita night.» Sunday nights are even better with a live mariachi band! If you have a large crowd the people here are always willing to put together a big table for a group. Unusually fast service with a smile. Plenty of parking too. Don’t miss this place!
