Great food. Great service. Lots of flat screen televisions. An underlooked place to eat downtown because its in the Holiday Inn.

I must have walked by the holiday inn a million times on my way to eat at other nearby restaurants. Serenity, C-town, Dirty Franks and Little Palace are all certainly more noticeable. But I finally thought to myself, «hmm, that holiday inn probably has a restaurant inside it», thus I finally ate at the town street grille. Named plainly after the street it resides on, the town street grille embodies hotel restaurant to the T. It was super quiet when I went in for lunch, surely only a cook and a waitress running the whole place, and only ever seeing one other table. You would expect hotel food to not be good, but I was pleasantly surprised to find decent stock in grill food here. Crispy thick cut fries, juicy grilled chicken and sauteed onions that were definitely fresh and not gelatinized from sitting around like some other grilling restaurants tend to have. It was cheap by sit-down standards($ 13 for drink, fries, chicken sandwich and ~22% tip), and the portion was hearty and delicious. So next time you walk past that holiday inn on your way to *yet another* trip to get hot dogs at dirty franks, you may just want to change your mind and stop in here for a quiet lunch.
