Chances are, you won’t find me wearing jeans that cost more than a car payment. But if i could afford to shop like a rock star, this would be one of my favorite places. I’ve been in a few times before, just to browse, but I came with a friend who knew the owner/manager and it really changed my perception of it. Flipping through the shirts, the owner came over and made polite conversation, and then suggested that I try this such article of clothing that would look better with the colors of my skin tone. He guessed correctly that I dont wear a lot of pastels, which i dont, and then guessed that i dont wear a lot of patterned fabrics. He knew my style more than I knew it! I am definitely impressed with his knowledge of what looks good or not. And as soon as I reach rock star status, I’m definitely going back there to shop

This selection at this store is not really couture but the atmosphere tries to sell that message. The most notable high end and worth it brand is True Religion and while they carry a good selection most are one month behind the latest designs if not second season jeans. They probably don’t turn over quick enough. It’s best to hit this store off season. I purchased a few Juicy Couture dresses here late summer and a nifty mod shift with a flower appliqué at the end of spring. Best buys are found in the graphic tee’s some OH and some brand name graphics. This is a good store to shop sales, you might get lucky, but not worth it for updating your wardrobe or if you are in the market for something specific.

Cool clothes, over prices, yet the help is not very nice and if they were servers at a restaurant they would not make more than the minimum rate. Store managers need to fix that aspect.

short ‘n sweet: LOVE the edge, and admire the sales staff. I’ve only visited during the art hop and on the weekends, so I can’t speak for the weekday traffic, but the sales peeps are extremely helpful and honest when they can. They are knowledgeable about the industry, labels, cuts, fits and and even the markets’ sales projections(read: what designs are quick to sell, and should be purchased immediately).

This place isn’t really my bag, but I get that they pull off what they’re trying for. With a bigger selection and more«customer service,» they’re beating out lots of other high-end boutiques. Plus, Dr Mojoe really is a unique find in Columbus. It’s nice to know it’s homegrown(even if the brands aren’t). There are certainly cheaper ways to shop for hip clothes, but I’m not sure there’s a more thorough choice for them in C-bus. A nice stop while shopping around the Short North.

I agree with many of the reviewers who say that while the staff is helpful they often lack in personality. But if you’re lucky enough to grab Kevin at the Short North location, I promise he will more than compensate. He/they know the jeans and products they carry inside and out and I’m a big fan of the Columbus promotional items they carry. I have a slew of friends in Australia rocking those ‘C’bus’ shirts out as I think they’re stylish, great gifts! I heart C’bus too and appreciate Mojoe spreading the love. :) Definitely a must if you’re an out-of-towner looking for a no-one-will-have-this-back-home item.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Mojoe… you could almost call it a love/hate relationship. On one hand I think it is nice to have a high-end designer jeans option in Columbus, despite the fact that items often only arrive here 3 – 4 months after they first ‘hit’ out on the coast. Having been to the flagship AG and True Religion stores in LA as well as Diesel’s Style Lab, Mojoe is ‘nothing new.’ To be fair, Mojoe really isn’t anything new in Columbus as most of their jeans options can be found at Nordstrom and Saks as well. What Dr. Mojoe lacks in sizes and selection, however, they make up for in their $ 99 discount section and their unique Ohio T-shirts. Additionally, the owner of the short north location(and possibly whole chain?) is a very personable guy with a great sense of style and a down-to-earth manner who is more than willing to chat as long as you please on topics from clothes to music. The rest of the salespeople? I dunno… if I’m going to spend $ 285 on a pair of jeans, I’d prefer get them from a guy wearing a nice Ferragamo suit at Saks than a hipster-doofus teenager who looks like he rolled out of bed, grabbed his Modest Mouse T-shirt off the floor, put on a ball cap and said to his roommate«Yo Bro, I gotta work but lets go bong some beers after work.» Positives for a cool owner, cool location, decent selection, good discount rack, fitted ringspun cotton Ohio shirts, and big city feel in Cbus. Minuses for the awful instore soundtrack(techno version of Nirvana’s Come as you Are? Ugh.,) lame sales staff, high overall prices, and ‘nothing new’ compared to other larger stores.

I came into this store solely on the name Mr. Mojoe. I wasn’t planning on purchasing anything, but I did need a new pair of well fitted jeans. I have been trying to find a pair for quite some time now, so I decided, what the heck. After trying on various designers, it seems like I look the best in Paige. Although, a lady helping me didn’t crack a smile, she was good at what she did and very helpful. Gave me tips on washing/preserving my new ‘investment’. Lol Living out of state, there was no sales tax and everyone gets free alterations.(bonus!)

I went to the one in Polaris mall, and they have great service. She didn’t even charge me to have my jeans shipped to DC! I havent gotten them yet, but I love the fact that there are free alterations(they even take in the waist, which is very cool) and they were so friendly. Only thing is I didnt think they had tons of jeans to choose from, but that could be bc the Polaris one is smaller. But, yes I would definitely recommend! :)

Dr Mojoe is absolutely the best place to buy designer jeans. A friend’s girlfriend introduced me to this place when I was visiting Columbus once, and I come back to this store to make a purchase every time I visit C’bus. They have all the good designer brands including my favorite Seven For All Mankind, reasonable prices(for jeans), and FREE alterations with your purchase. If you live outside of Ohio(like I do), they’ll UPS your new jeans to you after the alterations are done, and then you don’t have to pay sales tax! And, the people that work there are actually nice and helpful.
