Hesitate to give one star. Place is dirty, stale food. I ordered veg briyani and briyani did not look like briyani. Taste horrible and looks like khichari. I told the owner and he didn’t say anything to me. I guess they don’t care. Please don’t go there. Fifty dirty. Girl inside the kitchen was coughing all over the food. This the worst restaurant I ever been to.

I had one of the best dosas. This place is not much to look at, but the food is flavorful. I ordered the combo platter one. It was a masala dosa with idli and vada. The dosa was humongous and was totally filling. Idli was light and fluffy, and vada was crispy and lightly spicy. Will come back to try another selection.

Wonderful food… and the best thing is none of the food here hurts your stomach even if you eat gluttonously.

Best Dosa’s in Town! Dosa’s are south indian inspired cuisine. The food is very authentic and taste like home made food. It is perfect for To-GO or casual dine in. It’s a fast food indian restaurant family owned. The restaurant is very small, i would recommend for TO-GO.

Amazing range of(all) vegetarian food– I have never seen so many varieties of dosa before– and I moved here from the Bay Area of CA, which has a lot of Indian folks.

If you live or passing by this place, a must place to have some South Indian appetizers. Service is prompt and courteous people. I’d rate this place 4⁄5 as nothing is perfect but this is close to perfection I’d say. A must place to try and give your taste buds a treat and taste of south India. They do serve North Indian appetizers as well. Also few main entrees and nana breads. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

very delicious food. honest flavor, honest portions, and honest prices, you do need to call the waiters because how should they know when you’re ready to order. you know you’re not familiar with the cuisine unless you hail from the home of buddha. relax enjoy your dosa and all of its greatness. come here and don’t regret it.

Tonight was my first experience with Dosa Corner. The staff was friendly and invited me to sit while I waited for my takeout. The food was finished fairly quickly. I ordered the paneer masala dosa and onion pakora. The filling of the dosa was well seasoned with the perfect amount of spice but my dosa was a little greasy. For anyone who is sensitive to spice, there were sautéed jalapeño slices in the potato, onion and paneer filling. If that’s too much spice, you might want to remove them before you dig in. The dipping sauces were a little watery and I ended up not using them on the mini muffin shaped pakora fritters. They had a nice little spicy bite and I enjoyed them but were not the best I’ve eaten.

It’s great, vegetarian, affordable, and pretty cheap. When I went here, I got the #2 Combo that has 2 small servings of vegetarian curries, among other things, and my friend got the #1 Combo, which comes with a dosa. Also had a mango lassi. The dosas(really thin pancake filled with potatoes, onions, spices) are quite big — maybe a foot long and a few inches wide. They are really tasty. The combos come with some big poofy breads(the #2 came with two of those), various chutneys, rice, a dessert, and a little fried appetizer thing. It was just the right amount of food to fill you up without making you feel like you ate too much. The mango lassi was good too. Each combo was about $ 10 – 11. If you only got a dosa by itself, it’d be about $ 6 – 8, which, considering the size, is not bad. For comparison, a lot of Indian restaurants I have been to have had entrees running at around $ 12-$ 15. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, with lots of plants. The service is good. Very delicious food.

My favorite restaurant in Columbus. Hands down!!! The idli is my favorite. The food is authentic and the owner is such a sweet man! I’ve never been disappointed with the food there. The dosas are delicious! They are over a foot long! The spices are very well done. Plus the atmosphere is peaceful and they have so many plants outside! :)

Dosa Corner. My friends gave me good review about this place, so we a gang of 8 hungry men set out to Dosa Corner. We liked the Dosa(That is what we came for!!!). Idli, vada and chola puri were also good. But a few things changed the way I look at this restaurant. 1. Just adding chunks of Paneer to a normal Masala Dosa does not make it Paneer Masala dosa(If it does, then fine. no complains). 2. We ordered Lassi and Mango Lassi. It lacked the sourness and the thickness of «Lassi». We complained about it and the waiter did not even bother to react about it(Completely upset about it). 3. Chai was not good.

Home cooked style Indian food. Is there really anything else to say? Service was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful with answering questions. The food tasted like grandma made it and sent it home with you after a family dinner. Fluffy parata, fragrant rice, and of course, delicious curry. Everything was right on. The only thing I would change here would be to have meat available!(it is a vegetarian restaurant) but of course that’s only my idea. While I was eating, I didn’t miss the meat at all.

Do it. Get the dosa. It’s the bomb. Service is slow and to-the-point. Don’t take it personally. Just relax, enjoy the pace, and apply dosa directly to face.

I had the masala chai, upma and mango lassi. All of them were below mediocre. Idli was undecooked, but the medu vada was nice n crispy. However, they gave very little sambar with it, so the food was 3 stars at best. They lose one star for a 20 min period where we were waiting for some service, and all of them were in the kitchen with no one to serve,

Dosa Corner is my happy place! I love everything I have tried and in fairness– I have only tried the Dosas and the Uttapham’s. I have not ordered any of the curries. My favorite is the Paneer Masala Dosa. Hands down my favorite. A close second is the Mysore Masala Dosa. We are regulars and the staff know us and we enjoy our visits. A note: some of the best chai. It is strong and hot and clearly homemade and not from a box.

Dosa Corner is amazing! You must get the dosa thali so you can get one dosa, idli, gulab jamin, and the other side. It’s very filling for $ 10.50! Plus the Indian chai tea is very good — perfect amount of spices and milk. While it looks like a run down restaurant on the outside and is fairly cramped inside, the food is wonderful. Plus, the deities in the corner make for a great effect — folks can give offerings of money to the gods there.

I have been to Dosa Corner several times now and I love that it is so easy to eat there as a vegan. The staff is well aware of what vegans cannot eat and are careful to skip things like clarified butter when you order. The prices are super reasonable and the food is always served hot and fresh. I would recommend going with a friend and trying a couple of dishes together!

I’m vegan. I’m not from India. I love Dosa Corner. Let me get those three things out of the way, because I’ve read through a lot of reviews for Dosa Corner, and I can’t believe I haven’t written one yet after all these years of going! First off, Dosa Corner is a 100% vegetarian restaurant. Don’t let that put you off, because there are tons of foods that people eat during the day that are usually vegetarian: beans, rice, vegetables, bread, vegetable soup, condiments and chips — to name just a few. It’s not like you’re going to go in, and they’re going to plop down a green salad and bean sprouts in front of you. Secondly, I’m fairly certain that I was from India in a previous life, most likely from the south. I used to actually be very much into food from northern India, but now, I find my tastes have shifted drastically over the past ten years, and my preferences are clearly favoring southern India cuisine. Why do I love Dosa Corner? Well, I have to talk about the funny stuff first: — Looks like a hole in the wall — Majority of the serving utensils and plates are plastic or Styrofoam — Free pitcher-water tastes like all tap water in that area: like zombie sweat. — Language barrier sometimes Don’t let the fact that it looks like a hole in the wall bother you. The food is good, the service is fast, and the guy who owns the place is awesome. If you’re a super water snob, they sell water in the cooler, along with bottled mango juice and a few other odds and ends. Myself, I usually just go without, or sip the water slowly. I’m not there to drink, I’m there to eat! And eating I will do… from plastic and Styrofoam. Now, to be honest, I think sometimes they have metallic plates, but I haven’t seen those in awhile. Plastic tray, Styrofoam plate, plastic bowl, with plastic utensils. Bare bones. The nice thing is, it’s also inexpensive and that’s a plus. As far as the service goes, it always seems like there are four people, two generally in the front, two generally in the back, and they usually switch off cooking, delivering food, taking orders, and getting water to people. Whenever I’ve gone, it’s been busy, and generally a larger party in the next room, so any service slowness was perceived to be related to that. They more than make up for that with the freshness and quality of the food brought out to the table. I love the pakora(fritters) and they always come out fresh and hot. Usually, they bring out a papadum(a plate-sized lentil-based crispy chip) which is like a big Munchos potato crisp but so much better, and fresh! There are two or three condiments that are brought out with most meals: the brown one, the green one, and if you ask for it, the pickle, which I believe is made in-house and is pretty spicy. I enjoy the selection of appetizers, like the samosa(a fried pyramid of potato and pea goodness), and mirchi bhaji(fried whole chili peppers!), but if you want to dig right in to an entrée, there are tons to choose from. Entrees come in classes, so there are the uttapams, which are basically Indian pizza, but way more flavorful than American pizza, and aren’t made with regular dough/crust; something that should be experienced and hard to describe. Then, you can obviously do the rice and curry dishes, which are fairly standard. You have rice with veggies, and you have veggies with curry sauce. And if you get both, you can mix it all together. Dosa Corner’s namesake is the dosa, and there’s a nice selection of these as well. There are plenty of pictures of dosa here on Unilocal, but suffice it to say, you can have these triangle-shaped Indian crepes stuffed/filled with things like potatoes, and a vast variety of other items, or you can just have the dosa plain, and dip them in the sambar(soup) and standard condiments listed before. All of the food comes out piping hot… burn your mouth hot. So unless you want to burn your mouth, let it cool down, or rip off a piece and blow on it. HOT! One last thing, and I hope the owner figures this out and/or explains it better to customers, but there are only three or four parking spaces up-front, and these slots fill up quickly, especially seeing as this has a gathering-place feel to it(meaning multiple cars per party). There’s parking all around, but there’s no indication where you can/should park. You have a veterinarian’s lot next door, with«private tow away zone» far back against the building — hard to see, but it’s there. You have the FedEx lot across the road, and the bar next door. Out of all the lots, I’ve felt like the FedEx lot is the safest, but I’ve never been ticketed or towed in the veterinarian’s lot either — so it might just be luck of the draw? Whenever I go, the vet’s office is closed, so maybe that’s a factor? What I’d like to see is a sign that says«additional parking in rear» or the like. In my mind, if you’re craving fresh dosa, or uttapam, Dosa Corner is your best choice. Saving money is just a bonus!
