Perfect and amazing engagement ring at the perfect price! After going to a «local» jeweler decided to try this place because of their history. Ellen was there and was so attentive. She was patient with me and took care of my needs. My ring had broken in half, she helped me pick the right ring at the right price. She made her recommendations and she listened to what I wanted. Then she recommended to have earring made with my old ring! Wow! They turned out so beautiful! I can’t stop staring at my ring. I have found my new jewelers and CDI is my new place to buy jewelry from.

Ellen, Renee, Matt & all the staff at CDI were an absolute pleasure to work with. I had been shopping for an engagement ring for quite some time when I first walked into the store. CDI is extremely knowledgeable, friendly & not at all pushy. They truly did help me make the best possible decision. Before making the purchase, I compared what CDI had to offer with the more well known chains in Columbus, a few smaller stores & online retailers. When it came time to make the decision, I actually bought a diamond online(that had a generous return policy, thankfully!) and took it into the store to compare with CDI’s selection. Ellen was beyond patient and allowed me to compare both stones for nearly and hour by the naked eye, under the microscope and in some example settings. In the end, CDI’s diamond was the clear winner. From there, Ellen worked with me to design the absolute perfect setting. She suggested a few tweaks to the design I had envisioned & they made the ring look absolutely stunning. My fiancé was blown away by the ring they helped me to create. I can’t recommend this place enough. I am someone who takes a very long time to make large decisions, and after weighing all of the options, CDI was far and away the best place in Columbus to buy an engagement ring.

Went here for a very expensive watch which needed the band adjusted. The jeweler was nice and very helpful. He fixed it right in front of me. I lobe it and it fits like a glove, I’d go back in a heart beat!

Here’s a review that I really didn’t want to write. I really hate writing and publishing one– and two-star reviews. I’ve been sitting on this for almost two months now, and decided to just sit down and do it, after going through receipts and seeing the«tickler receipt» I’d set aside with business card attached, reminding me to write the review. Luckily, someone else did the work of entering this business’ demographic information. I really didn’t want to do it myself. Now, for those of you who know me, and follow my reviews, you know I generally write lengthy ones, filled with details and usually maxing out the space allowed. This is most likely not going to be one of those times. First off, my family owns a jewelry store in New England — and has so for over 40 years. The bar for jewelry stores is pretty high for me to begin with, but in this case, I have a professional comparison and opinion to back me up(my mom). Although I can do so, I don’t usually send my mom watches to have bands and batteries replaced, because of shipping costs and possible damage. I prefer to walk into a jewelry store and take care of it locally. I don’t mind paying for the service if it’s done right. I’ve had dozens of watch batteries and bands replaced locally over the years, at many different stores, and it’s always been a good experience. Until today. I basically had my watch battery replaced, and found out after I got home that the watch was running super-slow. This should not happen on a functional watch with a brand-new battery. I had to replace the watch band anyway, and as a vegan, I decided to ship the watch to my mom to have it checked out by her repair guy, and install a faux leather band. When she received the watch, the first thing she did was take it apart, and noticed that the battery hatch was not seated and secured properly. After replacing the battery herself, and reinstalling the components properly, the watch ran perfectly. She said«You should go get your money back!» but I figured with the drive time to Dublin, and the annoyance of having to ask for my $ 10.75 back, I was just going to write the review and be done with it. Anyone making $ 10 or more an hour is not going to want to spend an hour round-trip to complain about something as trivial as a watch battery replacement refund. It’s just not worth my time and effort. This review is intended as a cautionary tale — both for the owners of the company and any future customers: you might want to double-check the work. I’m giving this establishment a two-star(versus a one-star) rating because of the personable way I was treated, and the cleanliness of the store. That’s about it. The store is relatively new, so cleanliness might just be by default. But the jewelry was nice, and displayed attractively. I’ve noticed that there’s a trend toward jewelry stores seeming a bit«sterile» these days; this store is not bucking the trend. Plain walls, not a lot of decoration, and a lot of cross-marketing material all over the place. They might want to improve the decoration a bit. The showroom felt a bit small, but I’m sure the rent is pretty high in this shopping center, and they have to have a «back room» for repairs and such. So, to recap: a small jewelry store, with a decent inventory and personable staff. Failing to seat the battery hatch properly during a watch repair might have just been a mistake — easy to make — but if my mom can open up the watch and see it plain as day, I’m guessing the employee at the backroom of CDI should have seen it too before closing it up. You might want to double-check any work you have done here. I’m hoping that other Unilocal reviewers actually visit this store, have a better experience, and give this store a better review and rating — if it deserves it. I hate to slam a local business, but I also have to get my experience out; that’s the whole point of Unilocal.I also hope this gets CDI to double-check their work more closely in the future.
