I loved shopping at Sid and Nancy when I lived in Columbia. I bought local art, jewelry and cool second hand clothing. All things I still own and love! The best part is that you can bring in items you no longer wear(making space for the new things you’re going to pick up) get credit and put it towards new-to-you items! You can always choose the cash option, but credit yields a higher return. Often times I would bring in my clothes, and walk out with new-to-me clothing, no money exchanged! This really appealed to me as I’m Canadian and could get around the exchange rate using the bartering system. A lot of the clothing is new with tags or lightly worn mixed in with some great vintage pieces. Exactly the way I curate my own wardrobe!

I really like this store, In the past I have always found some pretty cool pieces to add to my thrifty collection, but recently it hasn’t been the best. Secondly, I recently sold two big bags of clothing to this establishment and most of the pieces were from Buckle and Ralph Lauren, some not even that old. I was offered $ 6 for 4 pieces and just used it as credit towards the store. A couple weeks go by and I see that some of the clothes I had given were tagged at a very high price point. Almost 95% more than what I had received in credit and particularly, a tank top that was given was marked at $ 15, I purchased it for $ 18. I do not understand the method of the madness here. I am skeptical about purchasing things from here again as well. Kind of a rip off.

I used to really like going to their old location, but now it seems like they don’t have as many men’s clothes. I still love to drop by and browse when I’m in the area. They have some super cool stuff, like belt buckles, cigarette cases, etc. I haven’t had much luck selling items. Overall, I’d say this place is pretty neato, but could use a little more stuff for men.

My kids love shopping here. It’s owned by a local woman(even better!) and it sells everything from men’s and women’s clothes to funky koozies. Only for the cool folks actually, so that’s why my kids leave me outside.

Decided to check out this store on a recent trip to Columbia. Great selection of gently used tops and sundresses. Organized well by size. Large clearance selection. Friendly staff, welcoming prices. Clean dressing rooms. I ended up purchasing a Lanz originals sundress(circa 1960s/70s), a chevron top from I. nez, and a pair of m.o.t.o. jeans. Grand total under $ 40. Amazing store. I will go EVERY time that I find myself in Columbia! Kudos.

I didn’t buy anything from here when I was in South Carolina in december 2013… But I did browse and when I come back, I will shop there. This place has the coolest stuff. Lots of vintage cool stuff. The staff is super nice too. I felt right at home. I will be back, I will shop!

Upscale consignment. They don’t have the biggest selection, but what they have is good stuff, fairly priced, and rotates frequently. They may not have the friendliest service, but I think they just don’t feel the need to hold your hand through your shopping experience. I love this place.

If you’re fashioning yourself for the ‘90s grunge revival, then you’ll maybe like this place a lot. Inside this little shop, you’ll find punk music on the speakers, offbeat jewelry, faded vintage plaid and rock T-shirts. It’s a good change from the many girly boutiques in the area, though it’s admittedly not my cup of tea. I didn’t think the quality of the merchandise was high enough to give it more than three stars — a few of the shirts I checked out were kinda pilling and looked too well-loved by their previous owners(not exactly the chic«worn-in» look).

I was disappointed with this store because it got such glowing reviews. It is a small consignment store so there is not a ton selections. The clothes I saw was very emo, grunge so I didn’t see anything I like. I wish it had more stuff, but it all depends on who brings stuff in to sell. I probably won’t be going back again and I wouldn’t really recommend it unless your into that kind of clothes.

Sid & Nancy is about as unique and stellar as you can get in 5 Points. It’s a consignment shop so the inventory is always changing, but the feel & helpful staff are consistent. Wide selection for both men & women, too!

We caught them Moving(just a few doors down from their previous location) and by the time I finish this review they will probably be completely moved in. Though they were not officially open(Wednesday November, 162011) they had the door to the new place only blocked about 3 feet from the ground(SMART)! so people could look in and get excited! We saw racks of cool looking clothes being moved down the sidewalk. The staff or movers were very friendly and told us they thought they would be in by the weekend! We will definitely and defiantly be back for a closer and longer look at the new place(which looked really good) and their cool clothes!

I really like this shop! Prices are great, and I always leave with several fun things. I love resale/consignment stores and this is one of the ones with the cutest clothes for younger people. It also seems like it’s all different stuff every time I go. There’s some fun shoes, jewelry, gifts, posters, etc too. Check it out!

Poor mens selection, ok girls selection. Fine pricing but there is not that much to it. I know it’s a small town but this place is really mediocre at best.

Sid and Nancy is probably my favorite boutique at Five Points. It seems to be the most reasonably priced and if you are ready to do some rummaging, there are some pretty sweet finds! I scored some sweet leather boots for $ 25, granny-chic sunglasses for $ 15 and a cute bohemian-esque dress for $ 19! Friendly, laid back employees here too!
