Just as another reviewer stated, customer service skills at intake are HORRIBLE here. I came in for my annual testing per my Gyno, since her office doesn’t provide in-house lab testing. After signing in, the receptionist called my name and just stared at me. I greeted her and she barely mumbled a word in response aside from, «ID and medical insurance?» I guess greetings/pleasantries such as, «Hello, How may we help you, etc» aren’t common here. Once back to blood withdrawal area, the service was slightly lukewarm. I’m not sure I’ll be back.

We’ve walled out before due to long wait time but sometimes you don’t have that option. An averaged of over an hours wait to get blood tests that takes less than 5 mins is atrocious!

I can’t speak for their technical expertise but their people skills are sorely lacking. I was there to drop off a specimen and had an appointment. There were at least 3 people working because I could see them near the appointment desk talking at great length. 40 minutes later, one female called my name. She was sitting inside the office, talking while sitting at her desk, making little or no no attempt to insure her voice would be heard through the window. No hello, no smile, no eye contact. Give me this, give me that. Asked me questions without ever responding. An intense and rude experience. I will find another lab.

1. I always make an appointment when going to Qwest for lab work — no need to sit and waste time as a walk-in when you can make an appointment right from your iPhone. This specific visit was for my 6 year old son — fun right? Needles are no fun when it comes to a shot, let alone having blood drawn. The lab technician was wonderful, she knew exactly where to stick him and got it right the first time without digging around in his arm! He didn’t even make a funny face, he was clam and cool as a cucumber — and we were in and out in 20 minutes tops!
