I wish there was a way to give zero stars, because I would. The absolute worst dining experience I have EVER had. I have never, ever written a bad review for a restaurant until now. I also work at a restaurant, so I got off rather late(around 12:30−1) and decided to go to this iHop because they are open late. First, when we got there the manager sat us at a dirty table so we had to move. It took the waitress 45 minutes to get our drink order. She told us that she was the only server and she was trying her hardest, which is completely understandable. My main complaint was that the manager was doing absolutely NOTHING. He stopped by our table to make sure the waitress had greeted us, we said yes, but she hadn’t gotten a drink order yet. He smiled and said good and walked away without even thinking to maybe take drinks out for her since she was slammed. Then, I saw the manager seat three tables and actually get their drink order; however, he decided to SITDOWN with the tables while doing so. No matter how tired you are, or how much your feet hurt, or how long you have been there, that was completely unacceptable. After about 2 ½ hours of sitting and waiting for our food, it finally came out. The food was fine, but you can definitely tell it had been sitting for awhile because the poor waitress couldn’t get around to it. Needless to say, I am now at work after working a 14 hour shift yesterday, planning to work at least a 12 hour shift today, with only 4 hours of sleep because I sat at iHop last night until almost 4 in the morning. This iHop needs to seriously consider their management and staffing for future days.

Gave them a second try. The first time it took 45 minutes to get eggs. Second time it was difficult to get seated. Then it took nearly an hour to get my meal, and then they had the order wrong. So, the best conjecture I can assume is to not visit this restaurant. But the server was very nice and it was by no means her fault.

Giving this place a 1 is a stretch. Waited over an hour for 3 people’s food and when they finally brought it out I only got one pancake when I was supposed to get three. My friend ordered a omelette with spinach, tomato and cheese and it came out with tomato and onion only. Waitress was rude and did not apologize once for this service and gave us bad looks when we told her the order was wrong. We did not get anything in return for this service, no discount or anything and the manager did not come out. Terrible service will never go again.

This IHOP seems to have improved and hired more staff since I wrote my review. We have since tried it a few more times and have received good service. I am happy!

I had a great experience at this IHOP. Katrina was my waitress and she was bright and cheery early in the morning. She seated me quickly and got my order out in a very timely manner. The food was cooked very well and tasted delicious. But I think my favorite part of my experience was how genuine and pleasant Ms. Katrina was.

Went today with my fiancé and was not impressed. The food was good, eggs cooked perfectly, but the service was just awful. They gave me filthy silverware with food all over them, got our orders wrong, and then the server didn’t even apologize. Then we waited 20 minutes in line to pay. Won’t be coming back to this location.

Horrible service, sat in line for 30 minutes waiting to make a reservation while the manager just sat there ringing up checks. There was a long line waiting patiently then one woman just cut everyone yelled over top and got a table. Very unorganized.

I’ve been sitting here for 30 minutes with minimal customers. Maybe a total of 18 people in IHOP. The service thus far is deplorable. No food, and the waitress has yet to come check on my empty water. Won’t be back here any time soon.

We had a bad experience at first and when the manager asked how everything was and we told him a problem he made sure to fix everything and even paid for our lunch. Great Management is why I will return!

Nice reliable breakfast or brunch spot. I’m a fan of the breakfast sampler, the pancakes are always good, and the coffee not bad. The wait staff is always friendly and very quick with the orders, but then leave you alone to enjoy the food once it’s served.

Stopped by to get brunch. Busy but they didn’t take long. My food was hope and takes good. It was correct. Marlene was my waitress and she is great. She was always one step ahead on service.

The Vista was pretty busy so we thought we’d get our Ihop all you can eat pancake fix in. We walked in and there was no one to greet us at the front. We waited and a server noticed us and motioned to a few emloyees in the back to go up front. The employee looked up, made direct eye contact with me and went back to what they were doing. At that point, i knew this Ihop didnt have good customer service. We left and went to the one on Two Notch. We were greeted, sat and ordered in less than 2 minutes. I will never return to the Ihop in the Vista.

This place used to hop before the remodel but Ive been three times now(three strikes right?) and I could take a fairly refreshing nap before I will see a waitress or my food. Refills are rare, the service just sucks. I can hear what sounds like a truckload of cleaning coming out of the kitchen but what… I don’t know. The food every time has been… you know I couldn’t tell you. You know how anything you get when you’re starving tastes awesome but hell if you can tell what it was. That.

Y’all. This new renovation is the real deal. I’ve always been more of a WaHo(Waffle House, bear with me) or Original Pancake House kinda girl, but I have vague memories of coming to the old IHOP at this location and it being a very cramped, slightly scary place. No more. They have redone everything. There are plenty of booths(and let’s face it, everybody wants a booth), attentive waitresses, and they leave a pitcher of coffee on the table. Yes, on the table so that you can refill to your heart’s content. They have somehow combined breakfast essentials in every single way possible on their menu — it is COMPLETE. Yes, they have«healthy» options(under 600 cals, so, I mean, it could be worse) — whole wheat pancakes, fruit, etc. I haven’t tried their lunch/dinner food though. For anyone who lives downtown or for those whose favorite meal of the day is breakfast(me!), I’d suggest coming on over before your day gets busy. Did I mention they are open 24 hours and they have their own parking lot?

Went here with the Better Half and his 2 kids for this past Father’s Day. There were people out the door waiting to be seated. This location has outdoor seating which is cool, and would be nice on a cooler day. We were called within 10 minutes, food was hot, and well prepared, service was friendly quick and attentive. My man and I being from NJ are use to the IHOP chain, but he’s staying loyal. now that he’s been to the IHOP here he doesn’t want to go back to another Waffle House but I still have love for WH myself!(LOL) For 4 of use to eat it was around $ 50. Either way its an agreeable place to attend every now and then.

There are two good reasons to go to an IHOP: 1) It’s Tuesday. Ugh. 2) You have IHOP coupons. Both of these factored into our trip to the newly refashioned IHOP right here on Assembly Street. Of course, we came in at 5pm, so I wasn’t in the mood for breakfast. We were greeted with a ghost town of a restaurant(I suppose 5pm on a Tuesday isn’t a very popular day). We found the booth furthest from any open light source and sat down. To say that the staff was more tired and impatient than us is an understatement. They moved like zombies, and they asked us three times if we were ready to order. We were not ready to order. The menus themselves are about as excited to cram their new crepes down your throats as the staff is excited about getting a nap time. I ended up getting a Philly Cheesesteak while my brother got a «Mega Monster Burger»(Or something like that) and my mother got some eggs and hashbrowns. Unfortunately, I’m not able to rip this restaurant a new one at your expense because our food was actually pretty good. The cheesesteak had a nice amount of everything and the steak fries were almost as good as Ruby Tuesday’s. For beverages, my brother and I got soda. My mom got coffee. This is where things get weird. We’ve always understood that if your restaurant is not entirely based around coffee, it’s going to have bad coffee. At best, sub-par. You probably already know this. My mom gets a Joe, and(Whaddaya know?) it’s as strong as Hell. When our server came around again, she asked why it was verging on being straight grounds. This is her answer: «It’s not normally that strong, but I just brewed you a fresh pot.» What? That doesn’t make any sense. That’s like if I said, «Why are there so many onions on this Philly?» and they replied, «There’s not usually that many onions, but I just cut you some fresh.» In fact, not only does this not make sense, but it still doesn’t fix the fact that the coffee tastes like the liquid essense of the Devil. We left full, but somewhat dissatisfied. For the acceptable deal we got on our meal with our coupon, we should have recieved better service. We MIGHT stop by again if things improve.
