Came here because I was getting married in 2 days, and my ring didn’t fit. I was looking to perhaps getting a regular wedding band at my size to sit on top to prevent my ring from sliding off. So I come here. They were closing so I guess that made them feel that being was rude was appropriate. The lady nearly wanted to rush us out over helping us. She was practically rolling her eyes at us when we’d ask questions, and my mother and I are not folks to be mean or rude to someone if they are rude to us first. Although the only good thing they could do was put a ring hugger(or something like that) for 10 $ and also provide same day ring-resizing, which is an attractive service, I found their customer service discouraging and will not return.

Located on the lower level in Columbia Mall near the food court. I had less than 36 hours to get my engagement ring adjusted. A month in the works, I bought a custom setting online and a loose marquise diamond to be mounted on it. Only, ITDIDN’T FIT! To make it fit, I needed new prongs. Simple enough? Nope. To get the new prongs on would require soldering, which would in turn burn up the emeralds embedded in the setting. On a Wednesday afternoon and leaving the country for Jamaica with an unsuspecting girlfriend on Friday morning, my visions of the perfect paradise proposal were fading away like a Caribbean sunset. My local jeweler, who I’d given the ring components to a week before, didn’t have the equipment to handle this kind of job, specifically a laser solder, and I found this out Wednesday noon. Let me tell you, I was so desperate to get it done by Friday that I was willing to drive anywhere within a 50 – 100 mile radius to get to that elusive laser solder. I probably called every repair shop with a laser solder in the state of Maryland. Some gouged with $ 400+ quotes, most others honestly couldn’t meet my closing deadline with heavy workloads and part time jewelry repairmen staffed. With the $ 400 gouge shop as my best option, I felt pretty stressed out and beleaguered. Through last-minute, grabbing-at-straws, desperate searching, I reached out to one last repair shop with almost no listings and no net presence. They had a laser solder, good first step. A few minutes walk from work, even better. Got there around 4pm on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. Here’s how it went down: Me(frantically detailing my service and time constraints): «I need to… blah blah ring adjustments blah blah.» CJSC: «We’ll have it done by 6.» Me(in shocked, almost anticlimactic disbelief): «6pm tomorrow?! Friday?!» CJSC: «6pm, 2 hours from now.» Me: speechless with relief Looking at the work under a 60x jeweler’s loupe, they did an outstanding job extremely quickly, for a reasonable rate, and I(and my new fiancée) couldn’t be happier. Kudos.
