Drove way out of my way one night to check this place out, called to make sure it was open and arrived around 6:30pm — and then our party was told the place was closing for the night due to «not enough customers». The chances of me driving way out there and trying again are minuscule.

I stopped in one evening and had an appetizer of watermelon, mint, and goat cheese. It’s excellent. All local foods. The mint even came right out of Mike and Tony’s backyard garden. Where else do you get food like that? I was in there another evening and they had someone singing opera arias. It’s been voted one of the best restaurants in Western Massachusetts for good reason. Perhaps a little off the beaten path, but certainly worth a side trip to get there. The restaurant is located in an unused church in «downtown» Colrain with some neon touches. You’ll know that you found it when you see it. Oh, and, yes, there’s some really noteworthy and creative pizza, too.

Stopped in after a lovely lady from the Bridge of Flowers gift shop in nearby Shelburne Falls told us about this place. Incredible atmosphere being in an old church. Open kitchen, bar and great artwork and lighting design all over. We ordered a couple of beers, the garden salad and a calzone. The ingredients in the calzone were fresh, savory and oh so delicious. The ricotta cheese and dough of the calzone blew my mind(some parts flaky, some parts doughy, some parts crunchy and all parts earth shattering). It’s safe to assume that this calzone will never be topped.

Hey! We stopped this weekend on Friday night on our to the campground we go to and it will now be a weekly stop for. Although a tad pricey, the pizza was DELICIOUS, just enough spice and sauce and cheese. Thin crusted and crunchy, yummy goodness. we also had a basil cream sauce pasta dish that was bland, but a bit of parmesan and s&p and it was mighty fine.(I would rather add the salt myself anyway) I LOVE meatballs and really get mad when restaurants serve frozen meatballs… and these were incredible. Fresh, handmade at the restaurant and FRESH! I will always pay a bit more money for food when it is fresh, homemade and restaurants use locally produced ingredients! It is important to support our local businesses. A fifteen minute drive off of Rte 91 in the hilltown of Colrain, MA, this place is a gem!!! Shine on Mike & Tony!!!

Best pizza in the area I have had, bar none. Simply the best crust, it isn’t undersalted underoiled and too doughy like every other crust, particularly Antonio’s. Not that I don’t like Antonio’s but they lack in a quality crust. This stands out like a shining beacon in a sea of doughy crusts, not too thin, not too thick, crispy but not too crispy, excellent flavor. Toppings are excellent quality, delicious cheeses, and dank burgers to boot. As far as décor goes, it is unbelievably cool. One of the owners makes neon lights; they adorn all kinds of wall space in this converted town hall. Beautiful backyard, bar, and friendly relaxed staff and atmosphere. Open kitchen, simply beautiful. Worth driving well out of your way to check this spot, you could not possibly be disappointed. Great for pizza and them some. Get some.

Best pizza I’ve had in Franklin County by far! Unique blend of cheeses on top of a tangy sauce, wide choice of toppings including an apple and cheddar pie, and a yeasty, fresh-made crust that resembles sourdough. Great soups that change weekly — the Escarole Chicken soup last week was wonderfully savory and flavorful, and Mediterranean Chickpea was full of nice Italian spices. Located in the middle of nowhere in the center of Colrain, MA, pretty off the beaten path, though excellently placed on the beaten path for the ski lemmings headed to or from Mt Snow/Haystack the prettier way. Skiers take note and please support these guys on your way out instead of the well-off boutique restaurants of Wilmington! Limited hours of 5 – 9PM, Friday — Sunday only. Service was friendly but flighty, and one of our party got her entrée 10 minutes before the pizza came. That was our only complaint — otherwise a great experience! Unique space full of neon art installations in a converted church makes for a great ambiance. Would be a good date spot after a country drive through the hill towns.
