You & I Caterers

My company had a function for 800 people on two separate days. We knew they did great work for Blue Skies EA and were very happy with the estimates and their flexibility. With a call center that has changes from the industry influencing what we can do with time this was a HUGE advantage. I was unbelievably impressed in such an accurate execution, production, and efficiency. We had received quotes from another caterer that needed a literal army. You and I got everyone done with a smaller staff that was impressive and courteous.
The food needs a separate paragraph. Absolutely the traditional holiday dinner was spectacular. I am not typically more a turkey than ham person. I couldn’t get enough of either. The menu was pefect. This chef has got to be entered in the next Best of Colorado Springs! Every single side and desserts were a perfect harmony for the time each group had to eat and not too much or little on each plate. We are planning to use them for other functions big and small in the future. I also plan to use them for personal occasions too.

Can I give 0 stars? Because that is what they deserve. They catered our wedding. Bait and switch is the best way to describe this company. The owner will promise you the world, under deliver, and overcharge. Here is a list of the screw-​ups:
1. Gave a per head price quote based on an ESTIMATED number of people. Our final head count was 14 people less, they handed us an invoice for the ESTIMATED count. Mind you this was a head-​count invoice, not fixed price.
2. We had 8 tables at our wedding, they showed up with service and tablecloths for 7 tables. We had to split up guests and squeeze them into other tables. So embarrassing.
3. Promised they would have a cheese plate for the bride/​bridesmaids when they were getting ready, never happened.
4. Tasting had fish prepared one way, at the wedding, it was done differently and mine was raw and smelled funny.
5. IF THEY WANT TO GIVE YOU FREE FOIS GRAS, RUN! It was rancid.
6. Tasting had a great raspberry sause on the asparagus, there was no sause on my plate at the wedding.
7. Some guests reported waiting 20 min to get their food, we had 60 people at the wedding. I could have gotten BirdDog BBQ and saved thousands of dollars.
I work in the service industry. If I treated my customers as these guys treated us, I would be out of business. They really added a ton of stress to a day that doesn’t need more stress.

You and I Catering is fantastic. Their food is outstanding and their prices very reasonable. They have catered two rehersal dinners for us and both went very smoothly – they did a great job setting things up per our instructions, provided a person to oversee replenishing the food and clean up, and the food itself was tremendous. I would definitely use them again.

I contracted You & I Caterers for a function to feed over 600 people, buffet style. I ordered Salmon, Wild Rice and Desserts.
Typically you can expect from caterers overly cooked salmon, however to my surprise, the salmon was perfectly done. The sauce that accompanied, delicately added to the overall flavor.
The staff was on time and professional. Served everyone speedily. The general feedback from attendees is very positive. I would definitely hire again when I’m in the area.

I love it when you can find chef-​prepared classic entrees done right! Really delicious food, great team, nicely presented.
