Just had my 3rd waxing appointment. Tia is AMAZING. She is highly skilled, lightning-quick, and all-around superb. My first waxing hurt a lot, but the 2nd was far easier, and the 3rd was almost totally PAINLESS. I was amazed. Of course, your mileage may vary. I love waxing. It is so much better for my skin. If you need waxing or other esthetician services, definitely visit Tia! She’s awesome. Also, they sell organic lavender essential oil, and a few drops of that helps a lot with any post-waxing irritation you might have.

I called ahead to check prices and found out that they were running a mani-pedi special for $ 50 — not bad at all. Then I found out they did massage, too… so I scheduled one of those as well. First of all, I didn’t expect such a cozy salon in a strip mall. The interior was very upscale. The massage was first. My therapist did a good job. Maybe I should have spoken up and said I wanted deeper pressure, but from my experience, deep tissue massages are typically deeper than a basic, full body massage, and usually concentrates on one area. Next time I will be sure to specify that I would like the entire hour focused on my back, but other than that, the room was warm and calming and they use really nice flannel sheets on the table, so it’s easy to just relax and melt into the treatment. My nail tech(who also does hair, I found out) was very, very, very nice. She did a great job on both my hands and feet and was personable. Next time I think I’ll splurge on the paraffin dip! When I need a haircut, I will be trying this place. It was pretty expensive — if the mani-pedi hadn’t been on special, I probably would have passed. Pedicures are usually $ 75…that’s super steep, and that’s coming from a girl who’s used to Chicago prices.
