I was expecting a small family Mexican restaurant, I was surprised by my experience. Food was great and the staff made the night.

Delicious food! Beer was great and the margaritas were very refreshing. Had the Margarita trio plate and WOW! Can’t figure out how they made those shrimps but Oh my! The best shrimps I’ve had in Colorado.!!

Flan was liquored which worked. Quality has slightly improved as well. «The Original Margarita» is exceptional. Beans are terrible. Rice is cheap.

I have had an excellent lunch and dinner. At lunch my wife and I had chicken & beef taco salads. They were large, tasty and fresh. For dinner I had the Mexican Style flattened steak. It was GREAT! Service is terrific, with smiles at every turn. Prices are spot on. See you again soon!

Descent food, quantity is a lot more than you can probably eat. My oldest loved the Colorado Burrito, my middle 2 split the steak quesadilla and loved it. I got the Mexican Trio, was a little disappointed, especially for the price. We always come here if we want Mexican. Atmosphere is nice, staff is awesome.

Salsa was like water and bean dip was blah. Fajitas tasted like frozen meat that had just been heated up. Margaritas were the only good thing. Will not return.

Not all 3 Margaritas are the same! Went to this location and was NOT impressed at all! We didn’t even eat ½ our food and the waitress seemed to get offended cuz we didn’t take the rest home. Everyone has a different«taste» when it comes to «Mexican» food.

I’ll begin this review with my normal caveat: I assign star ratings based on how a particular restaurant met my expectations. I might assign a 5-star rating to both Ruth’s Chris and a local diner if both are successful at what they are attempting to do. I would describe 3 Margaritas as a local, family, casual Mexican restaurant. The ambiance supports this designation, as do the menu selection and prices. I arrived at 12:15PM for lunch and was promptly seated and provided a menu. My drink order was taken immediately. Soon after, chips and salsa arrived. There were two kinds of «salsa», a pico de gallo and a light bean dip. The pico was a bit bland but tasted very fresh and light. The bean dip was amazingly light and tasted of beans and seasonings instead of lard. The chips were unremarkable, which for me is a good thing as I can often overindulge this appetizer. I ordered the shrimp fajitas for one and logged on to their WiFi whilst I awaited my meal, which arrived quickly. The fajitas sizzled and smoked appropriately. The fist thing I noticed was that the shrimp were still in their shells and sporting their legs. I was a bit taken aback and imagined the three star review with a snarky comment such as «I came for lunch, not to sous». I contemplated just leaving the food and walking away. Then I realized that I was being ungracious and tucked in. I peeled each shrimp carefully and soon had a mound of shells and legs on a napkin. The fajita vegetables had time to cook whilst I did this. The shrimp and the fajitas were wonderful. The cook must use very little fat in cooking these as they were light tasting and not very greasy. There seemed to have been both sweet and savory onions in the mix, as well as a few scattered bell peppers, which is all anyone should use in cooking, or none at all. The flour tortillas were fresh and warm and held an aroma of corn that proved very appetizing. The iced tea was fresh and clean tasting. The fajitas were accompanied by the best pinto beans I have had in a restaurant. These were not refried, but lightly seasoned and cooked pintos… perfect. By the time I finished about one-third of my meal I was pleasantly full and packed the rest to go. So, the restaurant met – and exceeded – my expectations. I recommend it highly.

My husband and I went to go eat there last night at 9 o’clock. They close at 10 so I figured food was not going to be very good but we tried it anyway. The food we got was delicious, hot, and we will definitely be back again. The service was outstanding as well. I definitely recommend going there. My husband also had a margarita and said it was delicious.

Been in a few times to take advantage of kids eat free night. It’s pretty slow customer wise, but very nice staff, good food although not like the traditional Mexican cuisine I’m use to from back home.

My first review was after 3 visits here… everything was great! But beware the guy manager at this location. He short changes the margaritas. I normally order the Original Margarita and it’s delicious! I love herradura and can tell the difference between that and an off brand tequila. The last two visits here with the guy manager made the drunks. My margaritas were not made correctly and the last visit it was poor quality alcohol and less volume. I normally can get 2+ margaritas out of a shaker, but this time I got far less than 2. I mentioned it to the waitress and nothing was done. The food on this visit was sub par as well. My burrito was old and soggy, my husbands enchilada was room temperature and his beans were soupy. I think maybe we’ll be in search of another Mexican meal next time.

The complimentary salsa, chips and beans were delicious and very much appreciated! The food was good but I wouldn’t recommend getting anything with the corn tortillas. Flour was much tastier. A little pricey for the Security area but there really aren’t many decent Mexican restaurants around. Worth the trip!

We arrived at 7:45 p.m. on a Wed. night.(keep in mind they don’t close until 9) We pulled up and apparently were the only customers at the place. Before even getting out of the car we got some SERIOUS glares from the staff through the windows.(The term if looks could kill comes to mind). Obviously they were more interested in going home than in making any money in tips that night. The looks were so severe that we were considering driving away and going somewhere else.(What kind of service were we gonna receive we wondered) Then, one staff member went around(while glaring at us through the windows) and carefully closed all the blinds and turned off all the neon signs in the windows(except the open sign of corse as they WERE open and would be for more than another hour). The message was clear, «we don’t want to work tonight, we’re pretending to be closed, so please go somewhere else». So we did. We went to Apple Bee’s. They were very busy but we still got great food and were greeted with a great atmosphere. Seems like the manager /owner of this store needs to do some serious house cleaning with staff if they are wondering why their numbers are so low in the evenings.

Food was cold and stale. Chips were good. Staff stared at me like I was a mutant from mars though, so not inviting at all. Drinks where terrible and watered down. I would not recommend them. The atmosphere was nice though, lighting was good. All in all I would go to another 3 margitas this one isn’t like the others. The one in downtown Colorado Springs is fantastic so this was a big disappointment.

I nearly didn’t try this place… due to previous reviews. HOWEVER, since I first visited this restaurant, we have been back nearly every week since. The staff is wonderfully pleasant, chips/salsa are brought to the table nearly as soon as you sit down, the restaurant is clean and authentic… almost to the point that we feel as if we are at one of our favorites in Mexico. The smiles of the staff dominate the experience and the ample servings have never disappointed me. I always have the Macho Burrito, and my wife has the taco salad… and I am always hoping she doesn’t finish so I can have some too! Children eat free on Tuesdays! To me, authentic and friendly means a lot… and this restaurant does it well. I’m honestly shocked that anyone gives this place a poor review… I’ve been to lots of restaurants around the world… and this one suits me well.

This place is great, It must be under new management or something. Great service and good food at a a nice price. Kids eat free on Monday. I’m glad this restaurant is in our area. It beats the hell out of Toros.

Although I did like the food from a prior visit at this location, but this was the most horrible dining experience I’ve had. Placed in a dirty booth that was only big enough to fit our two kids in while it was too small for an average sized adult. We were offered what they called chile con queso, which was actually canned nacho cheese sauce that I actually have purchased at a wholesale club, so I know the taste. I was charged $ 4.00 for a tiny bowl. The food disgusting and was also topped with the same cheese sausce that made everything soggy before forming a nasty skin over everything it touched. My daughter who loves tacos wouldn’t even finish her one taco plate becuase she said it was yucky. The service who didn’t really check on us, just asked if I was done with my not even half eaten plate, not offering a to go box, which I didn’t want. But it was very obviouse to her that we did not like the food but made no inquiry about how was everything, like she did to other tables. Guess she didn’t want to hear about it. I never really have written such a bad review before, but because as we left, I began to feel sick and promptly vomitted in parking lol. If I could give a negative star, I would. However, I’ve had better experiences at other locations. I wouldn’t recommend this one at all.

Would haven given it 2 stars, but my wife liked it even though it was mostly too hot for her. The refried beans had a good lard flavor too, so that put it back up to 3! The beans served with chips and salsa were tasty! I had the tacos al pastor. They were quite good with their grilled, porky flavor. A bit of pineapple and a side of tomatillo sauce would have made it even better. The rice was pretty boring and could have used some cilantro and lime or something! My wife had the chile relleno and cheese enchilada dinner. She couldn’t eat but a bite or two of the giant poblano stuffed with cheese. It had a lot of seeds and it was deadly hot for her. She handed it over to me and I ate it without sweating, but I swallowed all the seeds without chewing until the end when one got stuck in my teeth. THEN it was hot, and my mouth hurt a little, but no sweating and crying like she was doing. Her enchilada was pretty decent, stuffed and topped with fresh Mexican cheese. Wifey had the flan for dessert. I thought it tasted horrible with some icky whipped cream from a can on top. I don’t like flan though, so I’m not deducting points for that. Service was just fine, drinks filled, no waiting around, but we were there just before school let out, so it was probably the best time for a late lunch! Didn’t try the margaritas. I only saw bl

We like all the 3 Margaritas in C. Springs and Pueblo. This one is very close to our home so we visit it pretty regularly. Their black bean soup is very good as is the Aroz con Pollo. Their fajitas are also pretty good but the shrimp fajitas come in the shell. Kind of odd…
