Tastiest food truck in the QC area! It’s a shame Joe isn’t expanding and getting into the festival and street food market closer into town. We purchase for lunch at least once or twice weekly, and they NEVER disappoint! Top dishes include Brisket, Pulled Pork, a sandwich made from a Country-Style Rib nestled into a hoagie bun, The Lazy Dawg, which is a giant concoction of a Thick, Juicy Grilled Ham Slice, a pile of Pulled Pork, Pepper Jack Cheese, and Lazy Dawg Sauce on a giant roll. They also have your standard grilled burgers, brats, and hot dogs, as well as a VERY juicy and delicious Grilled Tenderloin! You frequently see construction crews with dropped tailgates eating right in the lot. Amazing Value as well!

This the best lunch truck you will ever have. I’ve had just about everything on the menu, and I haven’t had a bad meal yet. A few of their options include brisket, ribs, pulled pork, non-breaded tenderloins, giant hot dogs, and brats. They also have their house special sandwich called the«lazy dog» which is pulled pork, grilled ham, pepper jack cheese, and their special sauce on a fresh roll. Definitely stop here for some great BBQ, but come early. They are only open for lunch, and once they run out of something you’re out of luck until next time.

Terrific! We had brisket and pulled pork sandwiches and beans on side. They had sodas and water for a dollar but we had our own drinks. We passed the place at first and circled back. The address is correct. We were looking for a big sign but there was none. It is just a roadside stand in a parking lot. The locals eat standing around or on the tailgate of a truck. We took our food to a neighborhood park/playground about ½ mile or less west, by the water tower. We ate there for lunch on a Tuesday while traveling thru.

This place is excellent! I just had the pulled pork and baked beans they were both top notch. Beans had a little kick to them which was nice. The only draw back is that there’s no place to sit and eat.

Lazy Dog Barbecue is the best place to get lunch in Colona! They have delicious barbecue cooked low and slow on a big smoker. They serve things like pulled pork, brisket, ribs, brats, etc. For sides they have potato salad and baked beans. The potato salad is alright, nothing special, but the beans are AWESOME! The only thing is, this is a food truck, not an actual restaurant. They park in the parking lot next to Highland Meat Packing, they are open 10 – 2 Monday — Saturday, depending on the weather. They have been parking there for years. So if you are in the Colona area and looking for lunch, Lazy Dog is definitely the way to go!
