This restraunt is everything you would want for sushi and Japanese cuisine. I had the sushi and sashimi heaven platter which had a delicious combination of the two plus two half rolls and a salad. The service was perfect with a very attentive waiter who ensured that we received everything quickly and enjoyably. The sushi was very good and my wife was a fan of the OMG roll. Overall this is a solid place for lunch or dinner and a repeat visit place on Haddon Ave.

Woksabi’s sushi falls in the middle of the spectrum and in combination with the quiet efficiency of service would merit a three star rating. I’ve been here several times for the standard fare of shumai, sushi, and tea. Around lunch, the restaurant is calm, dim, and hushed. Evenings, tables fill up with chop sticks and chatter. Earlier this week, though, I ordered the miso ramen for the first time here. The menu’s description of a creamy tonkotsu(pork bone) broth was spot on. This was just what I wanted – hot, smooth, full-bodied broth and not too salty… I want more right now. The noodles had a pleasing consistency, not too thin or too thick. I slurped the noodles and spooned the broth almost to the bottom. I’d have kept going if I weren’t so full and sleepy.

Always fresh and tasty. Guaranteed win every time we go. Calamari salad, perfect match roll, edamame, spicy tuna roll, spider roll, list goes on, all great. Friendly staff and nice clean environment. Got lucky the other night, went late, had whole place to ourselves and sat at the bar and the sushi master(itamae) made conversation with us as he prepared our feast. Make sure to tip them as well, they work hard.

Went here for the first time tonight. As others had posted, the service was excellent! My glass of water was never empty. I ordered the OMG roll and it was nothing short of that! It came out 5 min after I ordered it beautifully presented. I also ordered the spicy ramen soup with the seasoned egg. I have been looking for a good bowl of ramen ever since my visit to Guam. This came pretty darn close to what I fell in love with there. The broth was very good with the perfect spice level. The pork was better than what i had in Guam. The noodles however were a little less than amazing. I’m pretty sure they came out of a package, which is ok, but not amazing. I would def go back!

The only reason for two stars is because my wife’s meal was edible. We ordered out on a Tuesday night and I got the Salmon and Tuna platter with miso soup and my wife got the spicy tuna roll with edamame. When I got home I ate the soup first and it was good. My dinner however was far from good. The sashimi had a soapy flavor and a fishy smell never a good sign for sushi. I separated the pieces that smelled edible and when I bit into them I immediately spit them out. The taste was absolutely horrific. My wife had the spicy tuna which she said was good, so this is why two stars. Woksabi has been declining over the last year or so and I think this was the final straw for us. Good quality is important but raw fish should be taken at an even higher level and I don’t think it is at Woksabi.

I am(was) a frequent customer; visiting multiple times a month for lunch and dinner. Tonight I had a terrible experience which results in me not returning in the future. A restaurant should not offer an «all you can eat» special if they intend to harass their customers at the end of their meal and insist to finish each bite. I understand food costs for the restaurant are a concern, but to threaten the customer by stating«if you do not finish you meal — we will be charging for each piece of sushi not eaten.» I tried explaining to the hostess that the reason for not eating the roll was because I personally did not care for the taste. However, that did not stop the harassment. I kindly paid the originally bill and left with plans to not return.

Great food, very reasonable prices for sushi. The wait staff is okay. They lost several good waiters.

Have been coming here ever since they’ve opened. Service is always on point. All their yummy special rolls are always presented beautifully just like their interior. I highly recommend the Tiger Roll and Woksabi Roll but If you like your rolls plain and simple, the fish is fresh which is a plus. Love their mochi ice cream! Its to die for. I can never get enough of it. Its like a mini dessert ball filled with ice cream inside.

Months ago I gave Woksabi a try thanks to a groupon. The appetizers we tried were the crab rangoon and egg rolls. We each were really great tasting, super small, and at $ 2 each way over priced. Each order comes with 2. For our hibachi entrees my fiancé had teriyaki chicken and I had shrimp and steak, as usual. They were okay and we both quickly grew tired of the amount of sauce slathered on, like it was intended to hide the meat. Ew. We also tried a roll but it wasn’t too memorable. We haven’t’t been back and probably won’t be back but the 3 star is for the great service and for it being BYOB. The atmosphere is also very nice. Great location for an after dinner walk maybe in the spring or summer.

Great sushi with an variety of different rolls. The rolls can be on the pricey side but are large, tasty and presented very well. You won’t be disappointed. Weekends can be a little more crowded but getting a table usually is not a problem. Unlike the other well know sushi place in town, you won’t need a reservation and you won’t be pushed out the door as soon as you sit down. Ambiance is very nice too.

Terrible service. The food was mediocre at best. The pad Thai was very soggy and does not resemble or taste like how pad Thai is supposed to be, ATALL. The ramen noodle was alright, although a bit salty. I had one bite of the pad Thai and asked if they can take it back and let me order something else. They still charged me for the pad Thai and not only that, wrapped it up and gave it to me. So insulting. The waiter said«In case you change your mind or anyone in your family wants to eat it». Are you serious? Don’t impose your thinking onto me. If I don’t like something, trust me on it.

I stumbled open the this gem on a late night and a half hour before they were closing. I absolutely loved my sushi and the portions were amazing. Everything was fresh ! I gave three stars not because of the food because that was AMAZE but because of the demeanor of the manager. I understand we were coming in late but the last seating policy should not be 10:30 if you want to peer at us from across the room to see if we are done. We were out by 11 but it was like geez… LOL… I will definetely be back …

DONOTGOHEREAVOIDLIKETHEPLAUGEDURINGFLUSEASON. THISISTHEFIRSTBADREVIEW I EVERGIVE A PLACE. but hey ill be honest tell you my story and let you decide. me and my best friend(two very not rich college students) decide to use the application groupon to find us a nice dinner. we found a deal for this place 15 $ for 25 $ worth of food. our instant reaction was holy sweet Jesus yes! we both make the purchase on our smart phone out side the restaurant and go in. we get seated at a table and the hostess told us to present the groupon to the waiter when he arrives. once he arrived he seemed grumpy and annoyed we show him the groupons when he starts yelling at us. I actually got yelled at by a server what the hell is that! he told me that we can only use 1 groupon per table even though theres nothing about that in the fine print. I then ask him if I could talk to the manager. «I am manager» he told me then I said there must be something you can do. he got a smirk on his face and told me that we can sit at different tables.(he didn’t think wed do it) so I got the hell up and moved two tables down. this guy wasn’t smirking any more then he got mad and yelled and said that it wasn’t far enough he then went all the way to the other side of the restaurant and made my best friend sit there. he then took our orders and tell me why he had the nerve to mess my order up. the soup was actually just water my salad was drenched in dressing(not in a good way) he forgot my coke but charged me for it and the hibachi was mediocre the only good thing ill say(im very honest) was the sushi was some of the best iv ever had. bottom line id rather be dragged across a mile of broken glass before I go back to this place. worstservice I have ever experianced

Came here last night with the boyfriend to use a Living Social coupon. There were maybe 3 or 4 other tables when we arrived around 6PM but by 7:30, it was almost a full house. I also noticed quite a few people stop in for take-out. We were quickly greeted, seated & served. Our waiter came by once to ask if we were ready but gave us more time & came back shortly. I know some people like to take there time deciding & would have probably felt rushed but I liked it only because I am pretty quick to decide what I want to eat. What we ordered: — Japanese Chicken Wings ’ Funky Monkey ’ Angry Dragon + Foxy Girl + A roll from the separate menu(Sorry! Forgot the name!) — Berry Crème Brulee On their separate menu with more food options, there were 2 different choices for the chicken wings. I forget what the one we got was called but it’s not the curry one. It came out with 3 pieces of extremely hot wings which I love because a lot of places would come out with mildly hot food; hot like the temperature, not spice. I don’t know what that sauce was suppose to be but the boyfriend & I both agreed that it tasted like sweet & sour sauce probably mixed with something else. Not bad but not a huge fan. Still love that it came out so hot though. I wanted to order the Funky Monkey after seeing some reviews on it & I am glad I did. The description says«Lightly fried avocado stuffed w. spicy tuna & crabmeat served w. tobiko spicy & eel sauce(no rice)». I liked the«lightly fried» part though you couldn’t really tell. Like someone else mentioned, they do put a lot of sauce. I think for this particular one it was a good thing. The Angry Dragon was more the boyfriend’s choice. He wanted eel & shrimp tempura &BAM! here it is in 1 roll. «Shrimp tempura topped w. eel & avocado served w. eel sauce» I’ve never really been a fan of shrimp tempura but the eel & avocado made it likable for me. The Foxy Girl«Crispy calamari, asparagus, topped w. spicy salmon, colorful tobiko & jalapeño served w. eel sauce» was my favorite one. You could really taste the jalapeño which I am starting to really like on my sushi. I don’t usually like asparagus but in this roll it was good & wasn’t too hard; it wasn’t cut too big either & wasn’t overpowering but you could still taste it. Thinking back, I don’t think I could really taste the calamari though. We also had another roll on the back of the special menu that I can’t remember the name of. It was fried, tempura I think, on the outside, standing tall on top of another roll. It was basically 2 rolls. It was okay. Still not a huge fan of fried/tempura sushi yet. They have a separate dessert menu with some yummy looking options! We had the berry crème brûlée which we would have liked better if that top burnt part was harder. The menu itself was a bit dirty; needed a quick whip down. The boyfriend & I liked how the place was decorated. The wallpaper on one side looked like it had a lot of small detailed I would have liked to see but we had the window seat next to the counter that was just as nice. I liked the lights and my favorite was the glass wall/divider when you first walk in next to the bamboos; looks best if you’re standing in front of the counter. Heard the bathroom was nice too. And your water is constantly being refilled. I was told that you can judge the service of a place based on how long your glass is empty so this place gets a 5⁄5 for that. I wish this place was closer to me. I would definitely come more often. But it is in a pretty nice area so I’ll probably be making an effort to come back.

Pretty good sushi, everything that I’ve had has been fresh. Though I think that their«special roll» menu is a bit overwhelming. Each time that I attempt to find a special roll that I’d like, they all start to blend together. I have ordered a couple of special rolls in the past, and I could not really taste the difference between them. A lot of these special rolls are also COVERED in mayonnaise, way too much for my taste. Most recently, I ordered the sushi deluxe meal(assorted piece sushi and a spicy tuna roll). This was simple, and had high quality fish. I would order this again. That being said, I am not a big fan of their spicy tuna roll. I dislike that they put that crunchy stuff in the roll and it is not spicy enough. The woman sitting across from me ordered the seafood udon. She liked it, and I thought the broth was delicious.

Best sushi/sashimi in the area. Service is always top notch! Great selection of delicious rolls and appetizers. The entrees are more Chinese type dishes and the Tokyo Crabmeat Fried Rice is out of this world. Two words. .. Funky Monkey.(Get it!) Woksabi rocks!

I have seen Woksabi advertised on Groupon many times so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad that I did! The sushi rolls were so fresh and delicious. My parents are not big sushi fans but they devoured the rolls. The roll that stood out to me was the Ocean Party roll but we also enjoyed the Cougar, Out of Control and Perfect Match roll, edamame and the pork gyoza. I also liked that the restaurant uses real chopsticks, not just the wooden chopsticks. Do you need another plus? Woksabi is a BYO. I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my regulars in Collingswood. Come try the food for yourself, Groupon or not.

I’m no expert when it comes to sushi and I don’t even try to make an effort to hold chopsticks, but I do know I came in hungry and left with a smile on my face. It’s as simple as that. I ordered an entrée called the ‘Honey Walnut Shrimp’ for $ 15.00 and it was a fair serving of deep fried jumbo shrimp in a sweet and creamy sauce with broccoli and whole walnuts on top. I chose miso soup(oh yeah!) and the white rice(fluffy and mmmmmm) with my entrée. I left with lunch for the next day so the $ 15 wasn’t an issue. I also had a special deal I found online… lucky score! My date had 2 sushi rolls(Volcano roll) along with his own miso soup and salad. There weren’t any complaints from my guy, in fact now that I think of it he didn’t even spare a bite for me to try. The prices were high but I think that’s normal for a sushi place. The service was fine, no issues at all and we would go again. Don’t forget your wine since this is a BYOB.
