Mom bought me a Lichfield Pillowtop mattress a few years ago and I hate it now because it dips in so much that it is uncomfortable to sleep anywhere else but the dip. Hubby and I actually switched back to our previous mattress. We visited today to get hubby a Coconut Bliss Pillow for a belated Christmas present. The new rep in store looked up our past order and helped us figure out what the mattress we hated was made of so we could avoid it in the future. He also said it was not meant to be a mattress you use all the time but rather a guestroom mattress. Then we went around trying to figure out what kind we like. We seemed to favor hybrids which he said get impressions but shouldn’t get deep uncomfortable ones for 6 – 10 years. Tempurpedic mattresses are the only ones that are completely memory-foam free and which will never have impressions or break in or anything like that. With the Coconut Bliss Pillow we discussed smells and how long it will last. We asked if we could add scent to it once the smell faded(in about a year). He said the store didn’t sell the scent and that if we did do that we should put it on a corner of the pillow to see what it does to the material first– just in case it stains or hurts it somehow. Overall the new rep was very informative and friendly. He answered all of our questions and helped us understand how mattresses should work, what we should expect, and how long certain ones should last. I left very pleased. I forgot to get his name but he’s awesome! Liked: — New rep — Coconut Bliss Pillow

I rarely review non-restaurants, but this place went so far above and beyond what we expected that I feel compelled point them out. We were looking for a full mattress set for our little toddler and stopped by here to check things out. Tom was on duty and was very friendly and helpful… he didn’t mind that we were looking at an introductory mattress(the salesmen at Macys kept trying to steer us to $ 1500 mattresses even though we kept telling him we wanted an intro level for our toddler)…he even price-matched them. He arranged for delivery and we thought we were done. If only. When the mattress set and frame were finally delivered(they were delayed, but Tom called us and apologized profusely for he inconvenience), I set about attaching her Pottery Barn Kids headboard… oh oh… it didn’t fit! WTF, Pottery Barn, you bastards, you promised me it would attach to any standard frame! Anyways, I went back to Tom… we compared all the frames and found all of them would have the same problem… he suggested a Mod Kit… unfortunately, they did not have any of them. He did a computer search, found one, and called the store to make sure they put it aside for me. Problem solved, right? Of course not! Pottery Barn a-holes! We were headed to Nashville for the weekend so we decided to stop by PB… oh, you have to buy a POTTERYBARN frame for the damned headboard… great. After we got home, I stopped by Mattress Firm to ask to return the frame… Tom wasn’t on that night… he happens to be the area manager and was at another store. The guy that was on that night told me he couldn’t accept the frame back as a return! Ugh… I returned the next night and spoke to Tom… no problem. He took care of it, and took back the Mod kit as well. What a great experience… I’ll be sure to get my mattresses from here from now on. Oh, and F.U. to Pottery Barn.
