Teddy’s was nothing special. The meat didn’t taste particularly fresh. The employees were friendly, but it’s overpriced for what you get. The interior wasn’t very inviting or Hawaiian, in my opinion, either. Unremarkable experience overall. I’d have a hard time coming back with Snuffer’s right across the street.

Great service, but holy cow they’re way over priced for a burger joint. I wouldn’t return due to costs $ 23 for a hamburger combo meal is insane.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming the night I came in for take-out. They were helpful in suggesting different burgers to try. As must as I wanted to like the food, that was not the case. The burgers I ordered were dry and lacked taste. The fries were looked good but lacking like the burgers. The meal was fair at best but not worth the money. Maybe $ 15 for two burgers and fries would have been a better value and more fitting. Sorry but it’s doubtful I’ll be back anytime soon.

We love Teddy’s! As a former WA state resident, I was already familiar with Teddy’s delicious burgers and was so excited to have one in my new home city. Today we had the $ 5 lunch special which was a fantastic deal! A Teddy’s burger and tots or fries for $ 5 is a perfect, quick lunch option.

Teddy’s is the rage in Hawaii; local owners who are fans opened a branch in the middle of TX, complete with Hawaiian prices. While the burger was good, there are plenty of other equally good burgers available nearby that cost far less. We had a coupon that offered 50% off of a second combo plate so we each had Teddy’s smallest Big Burger combo plate, subbing fried onion rings for french fries on one combo. The onions are better, or at least the first one or two were. I am not a fan of their fries. The special sauce on the burger is tasty and the juicy hamburger is stacked high with lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and pickles. Service was very friendly and helpful. Good but not remarkable enough for me to feel that it was worth over $ 20, even with a coupon.

Food: 6.5÷10(Noting special) Service: 7⁄10 Value: 1⁄10(Way too pricey) Ambience: 8⁄10(Clean and not smelly) Super overpriced. Okay Burger, decent fries, place was clean, service was great, nice big screen TV. I had the avocado burger and umami fries. Nothing to write home about but not bad overall. The price was definitely tough to swallow.(~$ 15 for a burger and fries with water). I don’t even live in poverty but I felt poor as I was leaving. Bottomline is, there’s plenty other places with better burger and doesn’t cost an arm or a leg… or both. Save your hard earned cash and go somewhere else unless you have to try out every burger places in town and don’t mind getting ripped off for whatever reason.

Burger Rating: 7.1 Service: 10 Cleanliness: 10 Value: 5 If they gave out gold stars for customer service and cleanliness, Teddy’s would get two. They really went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed, answer our questions, and check to ensure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is bright, the ordering process works well, and the layout is comfortable. The double burger is good size and Teddy’s uses a quality ground chuck that gave it just the right mouth feel. And they didn’t hesitate when I asked for it rare. The veggies were fresh and crisp, onion rings were crunchy and tasty, but the unimaginative coke fountain was definitely ho hum. Now for the nitty-gritty: Teddy’s uses some odd way to order your burger with their«Big, Bigger, Biggest» options. I initially thought it was an option to upsize the combo, but it actually pertains to the size of the burger patty. That was confusing. Also, everything on my burger was cold; the bun, bacon, veggies, and the condiments. Even the meat was only warm. We were there early in the morning, so I imagine the ingredients hadn’t had a chance to come to temp before preparing … and it takes great skill to make a rare burger that’s actually hot. Maybe later in the day it would have been better. Teddy’s gets an «A’ for effort and a C for execution. We’ll be back later. $ 27.75 — 1 Double bacon cheeseburger, another double cheeseburger, onion rings and two sodas. We arrived late on our flight back from NYC… and passed by this gem for some dinner. The manager on site was attentive, polite, and friendly. In addition, the cashier was helpful as well. I personally liked the juiciness of the burgers. Perhaps some of the add on can be expensive. but the avocado slice was definitely not stingy. My gf and I liked the place and she enjoyed the secret sauce. Will visit again when traveling through

Really, really good. Ordered a regular cheeseburger, and it was delicious. The bun made the burger. We ate at the new Hwy. 55 burgers the week before, and this burger was much better. My husband ordered the garlic fries, and they were REALLY garlicky. Like stay-10-feet-away-while-talking-to-people garlicky.

Honestly, it’s my favorite burger place in the area. The Kaneohe is a burger that is plain hard to beat. The cooks know exactly how to cook the patties to your desired taste. I like Hwy 55 alot too, but I think I’ll be patroning this joint a lot more. Service is great as well, both times I’ve been here the staff will come to your table and ask how the food is and offer refills, etc. Highly recommend this place to anyone. I will be bringing my friend and my family here as soon as I can. Maybe tomorrow.

Awesome staff and very accommodating. Food came out hot and quickly and was very good! Reminds me of the original Hawaii locations, although the menu has expanded since my high school days.

Found Teddy’s on accident tonight. So glad our GPS took us the wrong way. I grew up in Hawaii and this was my husbands favorite place to eat. Our Teddy’s visit during our last trip to Hawaii was a bit disappointing. Tonight made up for it. The food was great. Exactly what we were hoping for. Yes, the menu is long, but it’s not hard to read or understand. I personally like all of the choices. My husbands favorite is the spud burger and it’s the only burger he eats. I like to try the different burgers. Love the umami fries. The customer service was wonderful tonight. I wish I knew the name of the lady who took our order because she was so nice. The only reason I didn’t give Teddy’s five stars is because of the price. For four of us to eat it cost almost $ 60. For that price we probably won’t be eating here regularly, not for burgers, not even Teddy’s.

nothing special… the«umami fries» were pretty good but the«Teriyaki Burger» was pretty blend. Location seems never real busy when i drive by.

Met the owner at my son’s baseball game and got a card for a free kids meal. Nice to see local businesses hustling and putting in effort so we decided to try it. We almost didn’t go inside when we saw the poor reviews, but glad we did. The ordering process took a little longer than a typical fast food joint, and there is an extensive menu, but it’s nice to have options. Our cashier was warm and helpful. I got the Kalauea burger with pepper jack cheese instead of the suggested cheddar, and topped it off with Umami fries. The burger was very tasty. Contrary to some of the reviews here, I thought the beef was really good and cooked just right. The umami fries were a bit heavy on the sauce, but had a nice spicy kick. Overall great experience. The whole family enjoyed the meal, and the atmosphere is clean and lively. Would definitely recommend adding this spot into your burger rotation!

I’ve been here 4 times and had 4 bad experiences. SUMMARY: Overpriced frozen burgers. Confusing menu. Employees that don’t know the menu. Absurd up-charges.($ 3.00 for a slice of pineapple… which they forgot to put on my burger.) CONCLUSION: DONOTEATHERE. SAVEYOURMONEY. LETTHISPLACEGOOUTOFBUSINESSONITSOWN. Bad news, Teddy’s. I had a shockingly subpar and completely unacceptable experience in your restaurant today. It was my 4th visit. There will be no more. When I entered the store, there was one customer at the register. The gum-smacking kid behind the counter appeared bewildered as he tried to explain why the customer’s preschool age granddaughter couldn’t substitute milk for her fountain drink on her combo. The transaction lasted 10 minutes(!) as customer and employee tried to navigate the confusing waters of your menu… Cashier: Sorry you can’t substitute salad for fries. Customer: Why not? It says I can. Right there on the menu board. She was right. And he was clearly unsure. So what did he do? He made up a reason why not. RULE #1 — IFYOUDON’T KNOWTHEANSWER, DON’T MAKESTUFFUP. ASKANOTHEREMPLOYEE. Another employee arrived and cleared up the confusion. By now, 6 new customers had arrived and stood in line. But instead of helping the next customer(me), the new employee started telling a story about her cat that lasted another minute! When she finally decided to help customers, she skipped me and asked to help someone else, I guess because I was standing on the right and not in the queue. RULE #2 — BEAWAREOFYOURSURROUNDINGS, INPARTICULARYOURCUSTOMERS. I had been the only other customer in the store for nearly 10 minutes! How did you not see me? Unacceptable. I spoke up and stepped up to the register. She seemed genuinely surprised to learn that I was next and she apologized. I presented my 50% off one combo coupon. I ordered the Pahoehoe Burger combo with umami fries and the fish filet sandwich combo and asked to substitute a salad. She informed me I couldn’t substitute the salad. She was the one who just told the previous customer he could!!! She made up some rubbish about why I couldn’t substitute a salad. I accepted my ticket and stepped to the side. I looked at the board again. It clearly says«Substitute a side salad for fries…» so I asked her again. Finally, she says, yes, I can substitute a salad. All righty then. RULE #3 — STUDYTHEMENU. Teddy’s menu is confusing, but employees should know it. I received my food and went home. Opened it up. The umami fries were missing the spices. No nori flakes. No sugar crystals. No pink salt. No umami spices at all. Just mayo. That’s a $ 1.00 umami up-charge for not-quite-umami fries! And my Pahoehoe burger with pineapple? A nearly $ 3.00 up-charge. And it was missing the pineapple. In other words, it was a basic hamburger. Basically a Wendy’s burger, made with frozen beef… for $ 10. RULE #4 — HEYCOOKS, DOUBLE-CHECKFOODBEFOREYOUSENDITOUT. Not to mention, every burger I’ve ever eaten here has NEVER looked like the picture. They’re always flat. RULE #5 — TEDDY’S HASSOMEOFTHEMOSTHORRIBLY-PRESENTEDBURGERSINTOWN. That’s more of a fact than a rule and that’s sad. Really makes you appreciate Five Guys substantial, uniform, perfectly stacked and layered presentation. I feel for the franchisee. I see she’s working hard to appease customers, but my patience has run out. I’ve spent over $ 100 in 4 visits for 2 people and something has gone wrong with each order/experience. This place will go out of business. Mark my words. Please don’t respond, Nancy. The situation is clearly embarrassing for you, as it is for me, and I’m no longer interested in supporting Teddy’s, and there is nothing you can do to change that! You’ll have to take this failure and learn from it. RULE #6 — KNOWYOURCOMMUNITY. STUDYTHEFRANCHISE. A franchise with fresh beef, at a slightly lower price point, and with a more recognizable brand, would enjoy success in Colleyville. Five Guys. The Counter. Twisted Root. And with Snuffer’s opening across the street offering substantially tastier burgers at the same price? Sayonara, Teddy’s!

See our full review and others at Today we ate at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers in Colleyville, Tx. After we began ordering we realized it was a chain, which is fine, but we usually like to go to more local hole in the wall places. They have many options and fun things to order. The customer service was phenomenal! The price was pretty high for a chain, $ 27.90, for two combo meals. The food was great. I loved that they weren’t stingy with the avocado on my burger. I also loved their pickles. Thick and fresh. It was very full for the lunch rush, so I am sure many people frequent this place to get a fast but good lunch. We probably wouldn’t make the drive again just to go there, but if we were already in the area it would be a great meal.

One of the best burgers I’ve had. Very unique and flavorful. I’ve tried the Kailua and the volcano. My wife loves the Greek. The lettuce was fresh and the tomato slices were large. They are very generous with the fries and tots. My kids get the chicken strips which are big and pretty darn good. The place is clean and the employees are friendly and polite. Here are my complaints. Their ordering process could use some Six Sigma process improvement. Very strange, confusing, and time consuming. The cashier listens to your order flips a laminated sheet back and forth to find codes for your order. Then hollers the order to the cooks, then attempts to transcribe the order codes into the computer. This could be seen as bad or good. The burgers are juicy. Super juicy, to the point that you can forget about eating it with your hands so you might as well be ready with a fork and knife. Lastly, they teased my on my first visit by having«Sriracha» throughout the menu. It’s actually a sriracha mayonnaise type sauce which was not spicy to me. I asked for some Sriracha straight up but they didn’t have any! I would highly recommend they have Huy Fong brand Sriracha on the tables or available as a condiment.

My husband wanted to try the new burger joint by his work, so we did, Initially, I thought this place would look like and feel a little bit more divey, but it wasn’t. It definitely needs more fun and inviting décor. Food: I had the veggie burger. I am pretty picky when it comes to veggie burgers — I hate the frozen veggie patty burgers, so I was really hoping that wasn’t what they would give me. Nope, I had a pretty darn good veggie burger, seemed to be made in house. The bun was soft and the veggies seemed fresh. My husband and I shared the Umami fries — these were pretty tasty until we reached the bottom. The fries were soggy from sitting in a pool of garlic butter, but besides that they were pretty good. I hope next time they toss the fries in the garlic butter instead of drenching them with garlic butter. But go ahead and get the umami fries, they are a pretty good experience! :) Service: The beginning part of the service was slow. The cashiers are very friendly, but are obviously still learning the computer system, but everyone was super friendly. We are pretty patient people, just letting you know. Cleanliness: Definitely clean! Will we go back? Yes, over all the food was good, and I can see them improving over time. The service was NOT that bad, just a bit slow in the beginning. Just be patient and you’ll enjoy their food. Suggestions for Teddy’s: Maybe make the place a little more exciting on the inside! It is a very lovely place, but it needs some Hawaii in it! :) Maybe even some music? I am hoping your burgers are not those pre-made frozen patties. :/ Keep reading the Unilocal, facebook, etc reviews. :) Good luck to Teddy’s!

I don’t know if it was just the«new» feeling or what, but I didn’t like it. The patty was something from a frozen food aisle at a grocery store. I was expecting a patty made from scratch. The burger bun was too big for the meat and fixings, and the fries was also something that came from the frozen aisle in a grocery store. Overall, I’m glad I tried it to know what to expect.
