We visited«food truck row» on the TAMU campus, which was just 4 food trucks set up on the street, and decided on Mess Waffles — a fantastic food truck concept. We went with the chicken and waffles since it looked like what they’re known for, and a waffle truck should knock it out of the park. There’s a sign on the window that says to be patient as good food takes time, or something to that extent. I couldn’t agree more with the sentiment, but for a food truck, especially on a college campus, serving students between classes, and faculty and staff on lunch break needs to be able to crank that shit out. That being said, we waited 15 minutes for our chicken and waffle. When it came time to eat, the waffle was a bit under… didn’t have that perfect golden color and crisp exterior and the inside was a bit batter-y. Besides the texture, the waffle was also surprisingly bland. I understand that waffles should be a canvas of carbs from which its toppings may shine, but this waffle was a blank canvas. I’m not expecting a sugar bomb, just some flavor. On the same note, the fried chicken was also rather bland. Brined? Seasoned? Buttermilk? Spices? I couldn’t detect anything that should be a part of a good piece of fried chicken. The honey mustard was sparingly applied, so much so that I just forgot that it was even there(I just had to ask my wife if there even was a sauce). Overall, it was a bland, underdone waffle with bland pieces of fried chicken, with a didn’t-even-notice sauce. This. For. $ 8. I thought food trucks were supposed to be fast, cheap, and naughtily delicious?

Went for lunch today and realize that it was lunch time but I thought it took a long time to get my food today. I got the Mac n cheese combo and it was good but I waited like 20 minutes for it to come out and I literally watched it get scooped out of a pan on the stove and in to the cup. Not saying that is a bad thing. Just that I have very little time between classes to eat and I need it not to take 20 minutes to come out. I went a few weeks ago at the same time and ordered the same thing and it was out in like 5 minutes. I will say it seemed that they were having issues with tickets printing or something in the back. I will go back and try it again to see if this was a fluke and if it was I will update this. The guy at the window was very nice though and even remembered me from two weeks ago which was good.

I enjoyed my experience with the wafology food truck. I ordered buffalo chicken, a waffle and fries and found it to be delicious. The fries were waffle cut and spiced nicely. The owner of the truck was very considerate and he seemed like he truly cared about his craft. I ate here because of it’s convenient location in one of the courtyards of Blinn college. I will definitely return here next time I am hungry on campus!

I have been to Wafology a few times and there is never a «bad day» at Wafology. The food is always delicious, the menu has a new item every month, and the customer service is impeccable. They put great care and effort in every order they receive, and the owner is so kind, friendly, and attentive. This month the special was Fire Fries and the Bananas Foster waffle. Both of which are AMAZING! I have never had anything like fire fries, which includes their famous sauce(made from scratch)!! You can also add sriracha sauce for extra spice. And their bananas foster. Seriously perfection. If it is on their menu for the month you MUSTTRYTHIS! It is perfect! And of course try their regulars– hands down the best chicken and waffles and my personal favorite– the sriracha burger. So long story short– go track this truck down for some delicious food!

I had Wafology for the first time today and it was great! I am a sucker for spicy food, so I tried their buffalo chicken with ranch waffle and their fire fries! Both were so delicious! The waffle was PERFECT — perfectly soft and crisp at the same time. The chicken was also very soft, flavorful and delicious. The fries were amazing! Once you have a bite, you can’t stop.seriously. The customer service at Wafology was so great that it made my experience even better! The owner is very friendly and respectful. I will definitely be back!

One of my favorite guilty pleasures is the Wafology truck, and seeing it near campus means that I get to enjoy the delights of my usual favorite of chicken and waffles with aioli maple sauce. The owner is always cool to chat with and is passionate in what he and his staff do to serve up something that I would have to normally drive all the way to Houston now to enjoy. One of my favorite places in town to grab lunch at.

Food trucks are a rare gem in the city of college station and is very hard to come by. Wafology is one of the only hidden gems that I would come back to again. The fried chicken and waffle was pretty good! The waffle was crisp and brown and the chicken was moist on the inside and crisp on the outside and was topped with a spicy maple aioli sauce, which tasted like honey mustard. Nonetheless, the combination was phenomenal! My only complaint is that the chicken was slightly oily and could’ve used some lemon for a more tangy flavor, but that’s just a personal preference. Besides the food itself, the design on the truck is really cool and the menu is fun to look at, consisting of various colors. The menu also had some healthy options such as the vegan siracha burger, the parfait cone, and an optional choice to substitute a regular waffle for a gluten free waffle. Overall, a great experience. Need to try the dessert this time.

This place had the best chicken tenders I think I’ve ever had. Very light on the batter, crispy and juicy. I ordered it with no waffle but it was delicious! And the guy who runs it is super nice

Food was fantastic! I got the kebab burger and everything tasted great, the veggies were fresh, the sauce and meat were flavorful, and the waffle never got soggy. The fries were just kind of ok, pretty much what you’d find at chic fil a, although they did use fresh oil so that was nice. Portions are just the right size for me. Only complaint is that it took a while to get the food out but considering how good it tastes it was worth it. Will definitely be coming back to try other burgers/breakfast/dessert waffles.

I am a bit of a food truck fan! I have been checking out the trucks in Houston, when I go to visit my family, for the last 3 – 4 years now. I have been told that there are more food trucks in BCS than I think, but spending most all of my time in Bryan and not being a student at A&M, I had a hard time believing it. So, my excitement to see Wafology in Bryan today just down the road from my office was palpable. I tossed all of my plans for lunch out the window and had to stop. The Sriracha Burger that I had was delicious. The waffle stayed crisp and the vegan patty was the perfect ratio to its waffle base. I had the spicy honey aioli on it, based on recommendation, and it was a perfect match. All in all, I had a great lunch and I am so glad one of the trucks is finally venturing up into Bryan.

Saw this food truck a few times, finally had a chance to try it tonight. They have a couple of options that can be made vegan: the sriracha burger and the cookie nutter waffle. I tried the cookie nutter and my hubby had the sublime for late night dessert. The vegan cookie nutter was yummy! It had the nutter sauce with powdered sugar on top. The nutter sauce was not overly sweet and has a nice caramel after taste. My hubby really liked the sublime waffle — it’s not overly sweet and has a nice tartness. Will have to try the savory ones next time! So happy I have vegan dessert options in this town!

First off, It’s outright bewildering why there aren’t two ‘f’s in the name of this food truck. If you are going to base it off of waffles(or the science of waffles, then make the transfer authentic. There are references to waffles in the menu, and it actually looks better as Waffology. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles with honey mustard sauce along with an order of waffle fries. I wasn’t wowed. The fries weren’t seasoned enough(one of my fries had a ton of pepper on them, and the rest did not) and could have benefitted from another minute in the fryer. They did not offer any classic condiments with the fries, which Americans truly love. The chicken was the best part of the meal, crispy exterior and not too batter-y. Sauce wasn’t enough, should change it to making two squiggly passes witih the sauce instead of one squiggly pass. The waffle was not too crunchy and by itself was close to being tasteless. It’s missing a hint of sweetness, an identity that ties in more as a universal menu item without being overbearing. The prices were decent, the staff was friendly, but the menu needs to be more daring to stand out. You’ve got the science part down with making the waffle a staple, now introduce the art, the unique flavor. The batter has the biggest potential for change, and the fries need a special seasoning. Please add in the second ‘f’ or explain why you left it out.

Decided to give it a try in between classes. I ordered off the breakfast menu and went with the Eggstacy Sandwich. Got my eggs over easy with the sweet tomato aioli sauce with a side of bacon. Pretty decent sized portion for $ 5. It was pretty good and the ingredients tasted very fresh. I talked with the owner while waiting for my food and he was pretty nice guy. There were two reasons that kept me from rating this 5 stars. First, my waffle wasn’t crispy. It was kind of soft. It might be a personal preference but most waffles that I’ve eaten have been a bit crispy. Secondly, I felt like there wasn’t enough flavor to my sandwich. Maybe it needed more sauce or maybe I got the wrong sauce. Even though I didn’t give it 5 stars, I’m gonna try it again another time but for the lunch menu. I’d recommend giving this truck a try.

If you’ve ever seen The Great Food Truck Race, you might remember the truck Pop-A-Waffle from Season 3(Spoiler: they get eliminated in 3rd place). When I first saw Wafology in the«New Businesses in College Station» area on Unilocal, that’s what I was reminded of. I don’t remember if Pop-A-Waffle ever had a Mediterranean burger on a waffle, though. But Wafology does. And it’s delicious. It’s called the Kebab Burger($ 6). The waffle was crispy, fluffy, and NOT greasy! A 1⁄3 lb beef patty was spiced with a tasty combination of middle-eastern spices and topped with tomato, onion, and cucumber, along with ketchup and mayo. Additional toppings can be added — cheese($.50) and bacon($ 1.00) which I passed on. If I wanted to nitpick — the service was kind of confused on orders at times(they don’t ask for your name or give you a number). Also, it looks kinda ugly. They could have shaped the patty better to fit the semi-circle of the waffle bun. But who cares? It’s all the same shit at the end of the day. Literally.

I’m a huge fanatic of food trucks and waffles, and Wafology takes the cake! Customer service: I came across their food truck during the first week they opened, and you could tell they were trying really hard to accommodate everyone while being under so much pressure. I had briefly talked to the owner about their food and how everything is run, and I’m really impressed with what they have accomplished so far after being set back from opening the business on time. Food: I was told that their waffles are Belgium-style waffles, not American. So instead of having the consistency of pancakes, you get yeast-like texture which makes it especially fluffy and light. If you want a savory sammie, I highly suggest the Kabob Burger. It’s a Mediterranean/Indian-influenced burger exploding with flavor. The meat is hand-pressed and all natural with freshly ground cilantro and Indian spices, and lays in a bed of lemon slaw composed of onion, tomato, and cumber; it really takes you on a cultural whirlwind. It takes the longest to make out of all the sandwiches, but so worth it. For dessert, try the cheesecake waffle. I’ve been to a lot of waffle restaurants, and I have never tried a cheesecake waffle, especially like theirs. So put those fat pants on and dig in because it is decadent and worth the extra calories. And don’t worry if you think that it has all that nasty corn syrup fructose whatever in the strawberry syrup. It’s all natural and hand-made. So if you’re ever in the College Station area, give it a go at Wafology food truck!

Stopped by in between classes for a free sample. I ordered the chicken and waffles with maple syrup. Which was actually very delicious. This wasn’t my first experience with chicken and waffles but I’ve never had it in a sandwich style. The breading on the chicken was good and the thickness of the chicken was perfect for a sandwich. My favorite part of the sandwich was the waffle, one of the best waffles I have every had! The truck itself looks nice and clean. The owner, as well as the employees, were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I will be back again!
