I disagree with the negative reviews of NorWest and would give the company more than 5 stars if I could. I purchased a heating and a/c unit from NorWest a few months ago and my experience was great from start to finish. The girls in the office were friendly, helpful and prompt at returning all of my calls. My order arrived in the time-frame that I was given and the installation took place without any hassle! The technicians that were sent to my home were on time, courteous, and really took great care when they were installing my new machine and removing the old one! I would highly recommend Norwest to my friends, families, and neighbors!

Bayside Mews I would give NorWest no stars if I could. Typical bait and switch on my 96 yr old mother. We ordered 2 Islandaire units from GM for less than $ 2000. Waited four months and got Amana units for $ 3700 Never got authorization on change in order. Will pursue this through BBB, NYSATTORNEYGENERAL and ultimately Small Claims Court. Had we been given the option, we would have used a more reputable company. Buyer beware… this outfit is less than stellar. Owner has the misconception that if he opens his mouth, he is telling the truth.

Unit is a piece of junk! Can’t complain about their service because they do in fact show up in a timely & efficient manner. Unfortunately, that doesn’t change the fact that I have gone through 3 snow storms &2 holidays without heat. I should have known better… THEYDON’T EVENOFFERSERVICECONTRACTS!

I have also had a bad experience with the islander ac sold to me by nor west. It’s a piece of junk! I bought it in August and it never cooled properly. Now, in winter it doesn’t heat properly. The fan just keeps going and going and it gets too hot in my apartment. It also makes too much noise! The company has sent out their service men several times. No improvement. I was warned that these units are not good and called to cancel my order in august. The owner, Dominic, called me and assured me that he would personally guarantee the quality of the unit and that the workers in my building who told me his units were inferior«don’t like us because we don’t take care of them». He was very convincing so I completed the order. What a mistake! Dominic is adamant that the issues can be fixed. I want to return the unit and purchase from Their competitors. More expensive, but good units. Do not purchase from this company!

Called on a Friday and they were able to come out on Monday and this was the middle of August when everybody else told me I’d have to wait over a week! By Monday afternoon we were cool again. There were some new minor issues(i.e. a rattle) but they came back out on Friday and everything was back to normal. They did not charge us an extra service charge and gave us some helpful hints to keep our unit working efficiently. As far as billing and payment goes, they were a dream. I wanted to pay by credit card so they mailed an invoiced to me and I called back with my number at MY leisure.

These people obviously don’t want your business… I wish I can give them NOSTARS but Unilocal has a minimum… We inquired about getting an estimate for work through email. Their reply requested to call and set up an appointment. We spoke with someone who told us they would call us back. They never did. We called again, and finally set up an appointment. We confirmed the appointment more than once. At the end of the 3 hour time window, a NO-SHOW. When we called to ask when he was coming, they told us that«HISTRUCKBROKEDOWN». When asked when he CAN come by, they said that he WILLNOT come to our building and that we should call someone else! They had several days to tell us this, yet had us wait through the appointment and provided no communication! These people wasted a week of our time and they shouldn’t waste yours. Don’t bother with a company who won’t bother with you!

I bought a 18,000BTU Islandaire air conditioning unit from Norwest air condiitoning and it never worked. I think the Islandaire air conditioning unit was defective from the start. It vibrates, it’s loud and it does not cool. It never did. I even called Islandaire and spoke with Eric Unser. Eric asked me to get a sound meter reading form my phone. I did. The unit reads about 70DB’s with cover open, vibrates like a drum and it does not put out cold air. He never got back to me after that. So to Islandaire and Norwest who sold me the unit. They both are quick to make a sale but don’t stand by what they sell.
