I have been converted! There was a wait at my other salon post blizzard only two techs were in. I hopped on Unilocal and found this diamond. They have a huge gel polish selection which is an issue every salon I go to. They are very friendly and take their time. My nails are perfection! I’ll be back in two weeks!

I love UM-Nails. I’ve been going there for a few months and love it. An does my nails and she’s really great. She does an incredible job and I am constantly getting compliments. I am always glad to refer my friends to An and the salon.

Lovely little place with excellent attentive staff who are detail oriented and do great work. My sister and I went in close to their opening time. They open at 10 we got their at 1030. We found a cute little shop with plenty of pedicure chairs and nail stations. All of which looked spotless. Also a room in the back for waxing. The cute little shop was absolutely empty with the exception of 2 ladies who worked there. They greeted us immediately and asked us what services we would like. We both got a regular pedi and a gel nail mani. We were also offered beverages. My sister got water and I got a hot tea. They started our water baths immediately and told us to pick out colors from their extensive polish choices. My sisters temp was perfect. Mine was very hot but I didn’t want to be difficult. Lucky for my the lady noticed and was like oh so sorry and added more cool water. I was very thankful. My feet are terrible and disgusting. I work 12 hour nights as a nurse and understand the ickyness of my feet. However the lady was very professional and never said anything to me about them(other nail shops have) so I was thankful. The lady massaged and took excellent care of my stressed little piggies while the chair also massaged my back. A small slice of heaven! My pedicure didn’t feel rushed and my feet were left super smooth. My only reason for the star deduction is she used the cheese grater thing which personally I don’t like because it works for that go around by the calluses just come back. I know I could have said something but again I didn’t want to be difficult and I know my feet are gross. I’ve only ever been to 1 place who doesn’t use the cheese grater so I know it’s the normal. They brought the gel samples over the the pedi chairs so I picked out my color while my feet where done. The manicure was completed quickly and with great care. My nails are pretty short so I know it’s difficult to do and I was very happy. The mani ended with an extra long hand massage with some excellent smelling Olay lotion. My pedi and gel mani came to $ 52 and was worth every penny. If my usually lady(the one that doesn’t use the cheese grater) does not have an appointment then I will totally be returning. One of the best places in College Park!

Loooove this place on my first time here yesterday! Kim was my nail tech and she did a great job on my fill in and gel color which was $ 30 altogether. Kim is a trip! Really funny and good at her craft. I’ll be coming back in two weeks for sure.

I LOVELOVELOVE this nail salon. Everyone here is so professional. Bea, Angie and Anna always make sure that my mom and I have perfect nails, toes and eyebrows. They treat us like family. They are honest about the wait times. They do not double book appointments. I always rave about this place.

They are open 11 – 5 on Sunday! I tried to help them update their Unilocal profile. It is a clean salon with a wonderfully friendly staff. They do a great job on mani pedis and let you tip on the credit card. Way way way better than Essential Day Spa in Hyattsville.

I’ve been looking for a decent nail place since I moved back into the area. Since this salon is close to my school I thought it was a good place to start. I made it there thirty minutes before they closed so they still took me. All I was getting was a full set, almond shaped. It was fairly empty as well. The woman that worked with me took her time. As for the shaping, it seemed that it was more oval than almond. But hey, I just wanted to test out almond. I like to get very neutral colors. So when I picked my usual flesh tone, the nail tech asked me if I was sure. I was. She asked again, and I let her pick another neutral-ish color. It was darker than the usual but I was okay with it. They do offer student discount which was on the plus side. They were on the expensive side for me though. Especially with the shaping being $ 5 extra. Overall I was content with my services and money being spent here.

So funny story, I found my manicurist from high school at this nail salon! Bea is the standard by which I measure all my manicures and she’s here! And for a really good price, better than DC. $ 30 for a mani pedi. Lots of chairs and the place is brand new so they all are in perfect working order. Loss of a half star(4.5) because they don’t have the disposable tub liners I’ve come to adore for sanitation’s sake, but everything is exceedingly clean, there are lots of colors and they are relatively organized. Carry OPI, Essie, Morgan Taylor, and cuccio polishes. No hard upsell on extras. Gel manis are only $ 30. Plenty of parking and they take visa & MasterCard, but as always(it seems), cash tips only.
