Don’t waste your time visiting this restaurant, certainly are better options in the area on Camp Creek or a short drive into downtown or midtown Atlanta, will prove to be more enjoyable. The surrounding area is questionable from a safety standpoint.

We were a party of 8 and Brenda the Mgr made us feel like she was doing us a favor. Lots of attitude and while I know it was a snowing we wanted to celebrate our friends 60th bday. The fact that Brenda stated«we are allowing you to eat but at 950 we are closing» really pissed me off. So you are allowing me to give you my money??? We didnt order. until close to 920 and then our food came out haphazerdly. 2 of our party didnt get their food but you have a bill? One of the missing meals was fried shrimp which tells me you turned off the fryers before we got there and neglected to tell anyone. I didn’t eat there since I was upset about the bday girl not getting her food. When I got home it went str8 into the trash. I don’t advise ever eating there and it would take a lot for me to ever want to go back.

Was there last night to celebrate my 60th birthday, which was a surprise event. One of the ladies asked to speak with manager because of a discrepancy in closing time. Now I know it’s freezing cold in the A, folks wanting to go home, yet she came to the table like an angry drill sergeant. We arrived around 8:45pm and it was 9:10 by the time the party of 8 ordered. She told us we had to be done eating at 9:45 at which time the lights would come up and the staff would start cleaning up. It went downhill even faster after that. I did eat the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer and they were piping hot and delish. Food started coming out, yet me, the Birthday Girl never got my order of the Salmon and Shrimp, nor did one other guest, so we ended up asking for To Go boxes for the remaining guests’ food to take the party to another location. I also got the Crabcake Appetizer but it was bland and the sauce was cold. The hostess gave me a free Key Lime Pie dessert to I guess appease me for not having received my entrée. As a frequent visitor to Atlanta, you can be assured I won’t come back. I really felt bad for my friends who went through a great deal of time and effort to plan this celebration, but it ended well with just the camaraderie and love of friends. I’m giving it 2 stars ONLY because the waitresses were nice, one even complimenting me on not looking anywhere near the age of 60, and the hostess did her best to apologize and engage us in conversation to keep tempers from flaring.

Brenda was very rude to our party. My food was cold, the orders were wrong. The birthday girl, the guest of honor, didn’t get her food. Two orders were missed, and there were only 8 of us. Rosa was awesome. I wanted to complain to the GM, but the GM was Brenda

We waited 3 hrs for our food with a party of 12… Our sweet waitress was very apologetic but Mgmt left her to fend for herself and never spoke to our table.

If a steakhouse is not crowded on Sunday its for a reason. The service was sooo slow. The food was average. I’m not usually in this area and the place is really unassuming like«the Corner Grille» a few blocks down(which is awesome). The waitress was sweet but the best thing about dinner was the buscuits. I really wanted to like the place but I won’t be back

A new waitress was assigned to our very large party tonight which was both unfair to her and to us. I guess management decided that for her learning benefit, but when have been waiting on your dinner for what feels like an eternity, I do not care about her learning. However I will continue to come here because the bourbon grilled salmon was delicious. My favorite here is the stuffed shrimp.

First, the service was super slooooooow! Our appetizers and salads took forever to come out. Our dinner took even longer! I initially ordered the Red Fish Louisianne. It tasted horrible. After waiting over an hour for it to come out, I was hesitant to send it back and order something else. But I did. I sent it back for the crab cakes. Long story short, this isn’t a place is recommend for anyone. Bland food and bad service.

Over priced food… I’ve actually had better at Red Lobster. The staff wasn’t friendly either. Well only one young lady who was a waitress walked by and stop to see if I was being assisted. But after getting my order wrong the manager wasn’t apologetic at all. That was my first time eating at Simon’s and definitely my last. I wasn’t impressed at all except for the one waitress who was friendly and inviting.

My sister and I returned from a trip to ATL a few weeks ago which was our first time and this was the restaurant we found after we had landed. Food was amazing! I got the Pot Roast lunch special and our waitress was the nicest lady ever. It was exactly what we wanted being new visitors.

Welted salad, one soup cold one soup hot, under cooked bake potatoes, dry steak, old vegetable medley… didn’t even taste the crab cake… asked for the manager. He comped the meal, but seemed pissed… no apology. I won’t go back…

This is on par with an Outback for their steaks. I would not call them great, but not bad. I had a Ribeye, and there was little to no juice in it. That tells me they cooked it to slow. They could benefit from an infrared grill. The salad and potato were just average. I will say the guy sitting next to me had some grilled grouper that looked very good. i will have to give them another try.

This place would have received 3 or 4 stars if their Instagram pictures weren’t so deceiving. After all, that is the sole reason I decided to try this place. I was very disappointed. I eat out 5 days a week and from hole-in-the-walls to 5 star restaurants and everything in between, I can tell you I’ve had it. For what this place charge, I expect nothing short of a great food. I ordered the ribeye and I had to send it back because it tasted like rubber. My second order was the roast beef and it was so chewy, I couldn’t even eat it all. To that end, it wasn’t even cooked all the way. The manager saw it and agreed. I must say however that the service is spectacular! From the hostess to our waiter and even the manager. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. I read some reviews where people said the service was slow. I didn’t experience that and probably because it was pretty busy. For some reason, you tend to have inadequacies with service when the restaurant is slow versus busy. It was definitely busy when I was there. My recommendation for this place is to get a different chef. They need a chef who is highly educated in culinary. You can tell how they cut corners with using the same pairing for meats they serve. That’s a big NO and we all know that certain sides only pair well with certain meats. Because of their prices, they really need a chef who has been an executive chef for the Ritz Carlton, Houstons, Ruth’s Chris or even a private club. They need a chef who knows how to strategically season food and pair flavors to fully accommodate the guests pallet. In my opinion, this place is doing well because there’s not any competition in the area. If it was in midtown, buckhead or downtown, it would tank. So just know that you have been forewarned. Those Instagram pictures are very deceiving. The flavor isn’t there. NOTATALL!

I had high expectations walking in. The salad that came with the entrée was good along with the complimentary bread. I ended up ordering the cabernet chicken. The whole entrée did not taste like it was seasoned properly, it reminds me of a dish from seasons 52. The vegetable pairings seemed off too as if the chef had not tasted the pairing. Vegetables were bland. Oreo Cheesecake Dessert was very good. Wait staff were nice and very accomodating. I didnt have any 1 or 2 hour delays in getting seated or ordering as stated in some of the other reviews. Restaurant interior is upscale. Bathroom could use some work, there were screw holes in the wall where a hand towel machine may have been moved. Door hinges for the stall look like it was coming off the wall. Very diverse crowd and full bar. I dont think there are many steakhouses in this area, but they definitely need to improve in taste to compete with any of the Midtown/Downtown Atlanta establishments. Food prices did not match food quality.

Had a very pleasant dining experience last night at Simon’s. My wife flew in to ATL late and we were happy to see that Simon’s was open until 11pm. We were quickly seated and we ordered some appetizers since we were both very hungry. My wife ordered the Stuffed Shrimp and I had an excellent bowl of Gumbo. It was so good that after a taste, my wife ordered a cup for herself. I also ordered the Blackened Tilapia with Shrimp, opting to have them grilled rather than the scampi, and it was excellent! Our server(Tony) told me it would be spicy, but I found it to be just flavorful. I was glad, since I don’t like spiciness for its own sake. We weren’t in any particular hurry, but we were both tired so we skipped the dessert this time, although they look delicious and we were told that they are baked on premises. The service was a little slow, as other Unilocalers have pointed out, but knowing that ahead of time we were prepared for it and it gave us time to talk and enjoy our appetizers. I did get(unasked for) extra grilled shrimp from the kitchen because of the wait, which was nice. My only«gripe» is that my side salad was forgotten, so I asked for it to-go. Not a huge deal, but it was a little annoying. I would definitely come back, especially for some more of that gumbo.

Simon’s offers great & courteous service and very delicious food for a superb dining experience. We dined here last night as a last minute idea on Valentine’s day and I must say that it was the best Idea for our special evening. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for a table(which was expected) but the food & service we received was well worth the wait. Eddie was our waiter and he did a great job making sure that we were good. He kept our glasses full and food on our table, the bread & butter spread came out first, warm & toasty, we also order 2 appetizers, the fried green tomatoes and stuffed shrimps, while the tomatoes were on point, the stuff shrimps came thru and completely stole the show. If you don’t order anything at this restaurant ever, everyone should at least try these stuffed shrimps at some point in life –lol(the best)!!! My date and I Both ordered Steak! Yummy! I order the shrimp scampi sirloin steak, it came with huge shrimp but I asked them to fry my shrimp instead of putting it in butter. I wanted Parmesan mac & cheese but settled on loaded mashed potatoes since they were charging more for the premium side items which was the Parmesan macaroni & cheese. My date order a 12oz prime steak, but review twin steak, he was actually fine with it after tasting it. No steak sauces needed, it was cooked to perfection. We ended the night with pecan cheesecake for him and White chocolate Oreo cheesecake for me. I have already told a few friends about this place, and Im sure to return real soon!!!

Went there this evening and had a good time. I actually thought they were closed since the open sign was turned off but then I called and the person who answered the phone politely told us to come in. Thank God! I would’ve been upset driving this far especially when I got there an hour and half before close but they seemed to be closing an hour early. Our waitress was great and very kind. I ordered blackened tilapia and sweet potatoes which was actually delicious but wayyyyyy to spicy for me! The sweet potatoes were 5/5, calamari was 4/5, and the potato soup was 5⁄5! Good thing is that they had a rémoulade sauce for the calamari! Thank you to whoever made that right for me! I can’t stand places that offer calamari with freaking pizza sauce!

I really, really wanted to write a good review on this place. I’m tempted to give it more stars, just because I really want to make this place look good. Nice, friendly staff. A rather upscale environment, but it was not good. It was REALLY not good. Here are the positives: The food tasted okay. Was it what we ordered? Not exactly, but it did taste okay. The biscuits they brought out were to die for. Absolutely delicious. Too bad they brought them out after we’d been there for half an hour. The staff was very nice. The negatives: Food from previous guests left under the table, so left kind of an impression of dirtiness. The service was beyond unacceptable. When we were seated, the gentleman asked for our drink orders. About 10 minutes later, a lovely young lady came up and asked us for our drink orders. We got our drinks about 15 minutes after being seated. It took a long time for the server to get our orders, then we waited, waited, waited and waited. The party behind me came in before us and got their food long after we did. The party in front of us never got anyone to wait on them, so they had to go look for someone to take their order. It took about 30 minutes to get my appetizer. It took close to an hour to get our food. The place was not busy. Seriously, it wasn’t even ¼ full. My dining partner got his steamed vegetables just as he was finishing his entrée(blackened tilapia). I ordered the Simon’s Salad. The menu said it had iceberg lettuce and spring mix, with toasted walnuts, raisins, and bleu cheese. Well, I got the raisins, anyway. The greens were romaine lettuce(that’s fine). There was no bleu cheese — just a sprinkling of cheddar cheese on top. The walnuts were not toasted. It just wasn’t the salad I thought I had ordered. It was not that great, so I didn’t eat it all. It took over 1.5 hours for us to complete our meal. Guess what, it took forever for the server to get us our check. Slow, slow, slow, slow, awful service. The prices are good, but you pay for it in time.
