A&A Handy Contractors

This was the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. He miss quoted the timeline by at least three weeks. He had one subcontractor doing the moulding, flooring and paint. He had to plead for the sub contractor to do the paint after repeated pushback. The texture contractors he hired left the place a complete mess and we had to clean and mop multiple times during the project. We ended up having a separate flooring and separate paint contractor do that portion of the work as we lost faith early in the process. He miss calculated the numbers when squaring up with progress payments multiple times to the point where we had to use a calculator and go through the math with him personally. The hinges from the doors and all other hardware he removed were not marked and it has been quite the adventure piecing our home back together. There was texture and drywall mud EVERYWHERE. Down the floor vents, on the floor vents, on the windows, doors, plugs, light switches… etc. The pricing was another issue. $ 900 to remove a piece of wall that took maybe 30 minutes to complete. $ 7k to add some picture frame moulding in the common areas. He went on vacation and was short on materials for the subcontractor and we had to drive an hour to get additional supplies. He also left one, used paint roller to start painting which the subcontractor refused to use. We ended up having to buy a pack of rollers for the only room we let them paint. There was a huge gouge in our flooring after out flooring guys had completed. There is no proof that this was A&A however it was as if a hammer was used to gouge the floor. When our painter showed up, the subcontractor told them to leave because he was working. This was a preplanned multiple contractors on site conversation which pushed our deadline back even further. One of his helpers didn’t show up to help his sub multiple times without notice.
This was all our fault as we clicked on the wrong Unilocal company. We would have never hired a company with zero reviews.
