This is a local institution. Service with a smile, knowledge that is unparalleled. I have been looking for a new read, a gift, or just a little something. The store is run by a former teacher, so the book recommendations for kids and adults alike are always spot on!

Very nice staff, always willing to help you out. They offer a variety of books. If they don’t have what you are looking for, they can usually order it for you. Clean and organized store.

I love books stores as much as I love libraries and my favorite books stores are the smaller independent ones as opposed to the huge anonymous, «seen one, seen ‘em all» chains. Buttonwood Books is a treasure. Personalized help is the norm including gift wrapping if needed. They will happily order books for you that come in quickly. They host authors who come in to read and talk about their books. They also have a nice selection of children’s books as well as some thoughtfully selected toys, so this becomes a go-​to place for me when I need a children’s gift. Make sure you get one of their punch-cards.once you have filled up your card, you get a certain amount of money off your next book purchase. I’m not buying huge numbers of books these days tending to go to the library more. and more. But there are still some books I want to own and that’s when I head to Buttonwood books first.
I like supporting this sadly dying breed of independent store.
